Ghosts Not in Household

Ok, so a couple of my Sims bit the proverbial plumbob and I put their graves in the garden (as you do!)

Now they float around quite the thing and have the same relationships as they had before, one was the partner of my remaining living sim.

Now although there is an option for living sim to propose to dead sim, it is greyed out as the ghost sim needs to be a 'member of the household.'

Although my living sim has a very high friendship (and romantic) relationship with the dead sim there is never an option to ask him to move in or anything.

How much of a friendship level do they need? Why aren't sims that die in a family still in the family anyway? Have their loved ones forgotten them? Where is the afterlife? And why can't it be in my house? Ghost babies?

Hello.
You need to have a ghostly friendship of 95 % to have the option to ask them to move into the household.

Another way of adding them to the household is to type in testingcheats true then shift click the ghost and there will be the option to add the ghost to the family household.

You need to make sure you have room for the ghosts, any household can not go over 8 sims in total. If the option to ask to join the household never appears turn on testingcheats on and shift click the ghost and add them to the household that way. Not ideal using cheats but better that than having the ghost culled.

Ok thanks. Perhaps the friendship just isn't high enough yet. Is this different to living sims? I am sure I have had the 'Ask to Move In' option for sims I barely know.

Thanks for the info, I have got space for him and you are right I'd prefer to do it the 'legal' way but its good to know that I can force him if I have to!

Hello Try raising the friendship level higher. You need a high level to ask a ghost to move in. If the option doesn't appear, then use the cheat.
