I hope there is some sort of filtration, or code in the patch or something of sorts soon. Otherwise the forum is going to be as boring as the game

I agree. I'm OK with there not being any sort of pack this month, but I would sure like an announcement in March. @SimGuruDrake, will there be an announcement in March? Or are we waiting until at least April?
And I don't mean just an announcement about a patch. It's time for some info about Sims 4. It's not right to leave players in the dark about what's coming next with the game.

sorry CLP I know you've been a little impatient about this. But from what I can see I don't think we'll get anything more than a patch (new addition might be a stretch) this month.
Seriously though, I don't get the secrecy. Why can't they just tell us when we should expect an announcement? I'm not even saying they tell us when should we expect an EP or GP but at least tell us when you will announce it! They could hype their fan base eg with a big count down in a banner in these forums, or with small pictures or hints so that we can theorize about what is coming. I'm pretty sure they have put a llama in charge of marketing this game.
I'm personally thinking a countdown banner might be asking for trouble and a little too specific especially if there are delays. It's very much asking for trouble. However they could give us a general idea of a time line and a general theme. Something at least. Even just estimates, like "our goals for first quarter are GP ABC and SP XYZ and MNO, etc." always with the required addendum these are estimates and may be subject to change. But at least we would know something.
I get your point but I'm just asking for something more specific as regards the announcement itself. When the countdown reaches 0 they announce the next EP, they don't even need to tell us what the release date is (just in case there are delays) but at least the general theme...

Flyers that came with Ts2 EPs?? (Sorry about the crappy quality). Back then it seemed like they had planned the EP line up well in advance and had the means and resources to deliver results in time...
I really liked it when upcoming content was announced this way. I miss that. I was already enjoying the heck out of Sims 2, and seeing the little flyers that came with the released expansion pack drummed up a feeling of excitement and, "That's what's coming next? Cool!!!" Since I was already having a lot of fun with my game, the PEPS usually didn't hit until the promotional videos.
