For me, it was using the embarrassing moments mod, which I've forgotten the name of, and having my Sim twerk in the middle of a funeral. His wifes. Not the oddest, but definitely up there on my list of 'what???'s.
Mainly asking, though, because I get that Sims 3 is a strange game all around but sometimes there are things Sims do that go well past the average TS3 amount of weirdness and I LOVE hearing of some of the odd things other peoples Sims do.

... in two separate games have waved to me! In both cases, I had them go to the park right after work and socialize. Also in both cases, they were living in the "Pre Fabulous Home" which I had recently renovated (heavily) the interior - (had to remove that window up front so I could put my flat-screen tv up as well). Also in both cases, I had recently fenced in the yard - to keep the paparazzi, animals, and zombies out.
In conclusion, Mary and Blair were waving at either me or the solid (windowless) wall.
BTW, I've always play at this angle - not that default up-high angle.
It doesn't look very comfy
Not sure if the motorbike triggered it but of course she goes into labour at the store
So she jumps back on the bike to go to hospital meets hubby Gazza. Thankfully they decided to cab it home.
I also had a Sim who would clean up all the dishes and then just stick them on their roommates' table or plop them outside...despite having his own dishwasher and many, many sinks.
Then I noticed the baby was nowhere to be found. So I started looking for him...
And here he is! Wandering around in the cold rain in his PJ's!
Mom doesn't seem fussed about it.
Finally! Mother of the Year.
Funny thing is, that kid isn't her husband's. He's the repairman's baby.
Oh, and one that's always struck me as odd is that zombies growl and do that shuffle walk thing, but then they change back to a completely normal walk to go up the stairs all nonchalantly. Then it's back to "braaaaains!"
(Oh, and I LOVE your siggy, OP. Eeveelutions are my favorite! Squeee! )
My Dragon Valley sims are just trying to have some tea. Listening to the soothing music of Franz Schubert, and up pops their neighbor and starts doing this:
"Don't look, Hon! Just ignore him and maybe he'll go away!"
"What on earth did you put in that tea, Finn Dolan?"

I've had my sim look at me sometimes too. One time in particular was during my bachelorette game when I had my sim go on a date with one of the contestants. I started them off by dancing together at a dance club then left them alone to see how they would progress on their own. When he began to dance on the tabletop she looked up at me, expressing her opinion of him, almost as if she was asking me not to stick her with him.
I've also had sims throw their hands up in the air and look to the heavens as if they're asking "what are you having me do?"
Here I had him change into all his outfits one after another.
Also sims will stomp their foot and/or start cussing when I cancel something they want to do.
Their more like glitches but here they go:
1. Stand on a Horse! - imgur.com/cwNSjCK
2. Eat on a toilet!.
3. Shrink whilst using a walking stick! - imgur.com/BqVGmfp
4. Pulling the cross-eyed look strait after his kid was born.
5. Randomly doing the Gangnam Style Dance after 30 sim minutes after a sim died.
Don't you just love the sims 3 XD

@Tractz that's actually why I have an issue with butlers sometimes. A full butler room is what is standard. A crappy bed, not the nicest furniture, and a basic, but bad, bathroom. I upgrade if they're worth it but for some odd reason I had a butler who enjoyed sleeping everywhere BUT their bed or used every other room but theirs, so upgrading was rare for that one. Other than that, your Sims must really enjoy sticking the "you're our butler, not family" thing in the poor Sims face.
@Simasaurus09, THANK YOU for that mod. I totally forgot about it and got it myself. Led to tons and tons of hangovers with my college Sims!
@Cororon, is it... love?
@5782341b77vl, 1st off your user is quite funny. 2nd, after reading your post I swear my Sims momentarily stared at me with annoyance soon after their second set of quads.
@girlwhocriedtaylor, I guess your maid is the better storyteller in that case
@mmallory10, wow. I'm left to assume the kid wanted a early crash course then. That IS odd though.
@amaresity, So was the kid born with the 'car enthusiast' trait or 'rebel'? Would've been just a PERFECT moment.
@brygirlluvssims, Never had that happen before but maybe your Sim has something against the bathroom or their roomie.
@GabbyGirlJ, All I could do was go 'oh mu gurd' at your updates cause they're hilarious. Repairmans kid, running off it the dark rain in his PJs, the zombie fact, and the potentially spiked tea.
@dw4518, yeah I got rid of the too. Funny and all but my Sims would randomly do the actions or I'd accidentally click it too much. Become bothersome.
@igazor, if that were the case I'd advise you to burn the game, or delete it, and look up "possessed Sims" on Google.
@cwaddell, I just wanna know HOW he got on the table. And he seems to be looking at the sky (you) like, "why hasn't she called me back?"
Oh my.... This is why I just love the Sims. Glitches, yes, but funny glitches none the less!
loved reading all these wacky things. i'll have to keep an eye on my sims and see what i find

If left on their own sims with the party animal trait will often hop up on tables and counters to dance.
No idea of what happened here.
Ouch.
Ummmmmmmmm
How are you not drowning?
How did you even get in there?
I have also seen naked Sims but I dare not share the pictures here
In Isla Paradiso, I had an alien visit my sims' houseboat with her scanning device, but instead of leaving in her spaceship, she took off in a sailboat!
I followed her and watched her sail all around the islands before she got to where she was "beamed" up to the mother ship. Along the way, she sailed by a ghost (Cara Dregg) paddling in her own boat. Cara was a drowning victim, but I guess she still enjoyed the water.
But Cara wasn't the only ghost out on the water. Here she's rowing along with her drowned husband Edward, who had their little pet dog at his side.
And speaking of pets on the side...insane Matthew Mango (also in IP) seemed to be permanently attached to his cat for several days until I reset them.
Weird place, those islands!
