    What are the benefits of reading?

    For Sims, that is. Aside from reading skill books or having "fun," do Sims experience any benefits from reading?

      Not that I'm aware of, but I have seen them get a moodlet from reading a book though. And they do get whim points from completing a read a book whim.

      Sims with the Bookworm trait get certain moodlets from reading/analyzing books.

      Sims with the bookworm trait can get quite a few satisfaction points from completing whims related to books.

      Bookworm sims can get an inspired moodlet from analyzing a book and get happy from reading books.

      Not sure if you count them the same as skill books but you can also purchase books that will give sims moods or have Sims write books when in certain moods and have Sims read them to get into that mood.
