@DivinylsFan
I think the top of Slacker Career Track is Professional Party Guest.
I too, have had Romance Sims marry - albeit the red light on the wedding rings - but as long as their aspiration status is gold or platinum, they don't have a breakdown.
In my opinion, Romance Sims tend to want 2 Loves and Make out with 3 and have recurring fears (once in love) of getting engaged or married!
All my Sims (regardless of aspiration) have cheered the birth of a baby - has anyone found that not to be true?
@Bluefairy286
I hope you enjoy playing a Romance Sim.
I meant I've never used it before, I've always avoided using it for the fact I thought it was just for flirty sims who don't like commitment.
I've just created a sim using that aspiration, so it'll be fun trying something I've never done before.
one of the expansion packs brings in a secondary aspiration, it might be University not sure. Anyway, your Romance sim could pick Family as secondary, to balance it out. They're quite entertaining. When they get married, their wedding rings that spin above their head afterwards will glow red. The headmaster was a romance sim. Kilomanjara or someone.

Lately for me, it is the Headmaster Vince that has to be entertained.
Discovering that the Headmaster can phone a Sim but your Sim can't phone back to keep in touch.
@DivinylsFan
I am not sure I would miss a Sim going to hospital to have a baby but it is more realistic even though sometimes when I play, the parents don't always manage to travel together in the same vehicle.
Once in Sims3 I tried a homebirth but it took hours and hours for the mother to have the baby - unlike in Sims2.

One of my romance sims was the most faithful loving husband and father I have ever had.
I created a sim...intentions of being that other side of the tracks kind of guy. Dodgy past, looking for a new beginning, etc. So he was into the party scene and met one of my other sims. I loved her to pieces and she was always swooning around him and getting wants to invite him over. So I decided that for her sake, he was going to become a better / miserable man by marrying her. Little did I know that he was totally dedicated to her. Every interaction he wanted was with her. He got wants to have kids with her before she did. He spent all of his time with his kids. He turned out to be one of my favorite sims to the day. He totally surprised me with the things he wanted. Even his midlife crisis wasn't that bad. LoL
Sometimes Sims don't turn out to be like what you would expect.
There is a red-haired Secret Society member (a Popular Sim) whose star sign is Leo - because he is a student, his name changes.
My Sim became best friends with him and joined Landgrabb Society. After the initiation, this Sim just grabbed my Sim and made out with her and both fell in love - there had never been any flirting!
So I went with the flow and after graduation, he moved in and they married. Because he was a Leo, I expected him to be like Don Lothario and not clean up much, flush toilets or make beds etc and was pleasantly surprised to find this was not true.
Nowadays if I play a legacy, I am also more than happy to marry this Sim to one of the female Sims.
you can slot your screenshots, or any other picture for that matter, into the custom painting folder and your sim can choose it to paint it by choosing 'custom painting' when they use the art easel, which can be better than painting a portrait, or rather easier to get the sitter in a good pic.

@thegummybear13 You posted it a long long time ago but I saw nobody ever confirmed. The stereo from glamour life that flashes pink; I don't know why it does it or if it's a glitch but mine does it too. I remember it doing it YEAARS ago when the SP came out, and then mine stopped. But I just recently deleted all my CC and moved computers and now it flashes pink again. So I'm not sure why it does it.
I think it looks pretty though and I don't think it's affecting anything. So I'm not worried about it. I wouldn't be either.
Interesting in regard to having someone sit for a portrait. I've never had to have the victim er subject sit for longer than just the initial part. Once the painter has started painting, I've found that he or she can continue without the subject sitting there. He or she will still call out to the subject to come and sit to continue, but if the subject doesn't come, I haven't seen it affect the painter.

I do this. I love taking pictures of my sims kids and have them paint a picture at each stage. Also a family portrait and the big moments like weddings and such.
I love doing that too plus taking pictures with the photobooth. I have family pictures all over the place, but sometimes I feel sad when a family member dies and all you have left is their photos.

Ya that is sad. Especially when you played with them from cradle to grave. But at least you can keep some great memories of them that way
@cleo00
Glamour Life Stuff Pack furniture used to "flash" on my computer too.
It tended to happen after installing a new expansion/stuff pack so maybe it is because I have installed all the packs that it doesn't do it any more?
To fix it, use the design tool and change it to another option and t should stop flashing. You can then select another option or return to the option you previously had.
Hope this helps?

Thank you because I saw an old sims video and their stereo was flashing pink but in game mines doesn't It looks awesome !
it might be a little bit like when you put a CC accessory on your sim and then you delete the CC without taking your sim to the mirror to take it off first and you go in game and the old mesh flashes blue, but the flash is blue not pink, so I dunno.

OK, so you guys all know what nannies USUALLY look like, right? Well, meet Calista, the hip-hop, bee-bopping nanny!
I decided I wanted to change her appearance, and when she looked in the mirror, I thought, "Gee, I wish I could change her hair color." And then just for the heck of it, I clicked on the Custom button, and lo and behold... all these hair options came up! I ALMOST gave her a do which spikes the hair and was a vivid purple, but then I decided this result looked better. Then I applied some makeup, and voila! lol
@SataiDelennn I once made a simbot for marrying female townies and npcs that were already elder, such as nannies, because I felt sorry for them that they were kind of useless as a suitor for my sims.
Of course simbots live forever, so he got rich.

I discovered something that fixes it when your sims have trouble finding a job and start running out of cash before the right job comes up.It was one of the most annoying things when it took ages for the job I wanted to come up for my sims.
Here's a fun Sims 2 discovery.It's a Social Welfare Mod allowing you to have sims going on welfare.
I got this Mod because having to rush them into jobs was one of my biggest peeves about the game.It means they can collect welfare payments like in a Modded Sims 3 game.I got it from HERE

there's plenty of ways to make money without having a mod. For instance if you build a pond and you have Seasons, which undoubtedly @TadOlson has, because I know you like gardening, you can catch fish and sell them. Ponds aren't expensive to build, and you only need a small one, @$1 a square/depth. The fish are free, and you only need a cheap barbeque to cook them and eat them for free.
Another one is the gardening it'self. And then with open for business there's endless possibilities. And you can always go to community lots and cook yourself free hotdogs and hamburgers.
And then there's the townies, npc's and if you're not doing a strict legacy, the premades too, to merely move into the household for their money and then boot them out when you're done with them, which is allowed in a strict legacy. If you read the legacy rules, you will see that you don't have to marry sims for them to join the household nor have their baby, you can just move them in, and move them out again at any time, but you can't move them back in after that. You could put them to work instead of your sim.
If you find Mr. Big, or Femme Fatale, they are worth $70K. Mr. Big has black teddy boy hair and wears a red smoking jacket. Femme Fatale looks like a Bella Goth wannabe with black hair and a slinky black dress. Oh, but they come with Night Life, pretty sure.

I found that Mod and it looks like it would allow your sims to take their time finding jobs without havint to cheat to get money.I find the green energy sources placed on apartment lots was cheaty enough though it's allowed and welfare Mods are allowed.I got that Mod to limit the cheats to just being for storytelling.
