Sorry I haven't been on in a while, thank you for the birthday wishes, certainly has been a strange year for celebrating occasions but hopefully that will change at some point this year *fingers crossed*
So, we bought a new computer and I have spent the last few days reinstalling all of my stuff! Holy cowplant there's a lot! I just want to thank @ciane for her helpful thread on reinstalling the store - having all of those links is such a timesaver! and @ZeeGee for creating a video tutorial to go along with it, as a visual learner, seeing her do it made it so much easier for this non-techy simmer to understand. I must say though, in her video, her store screen shows the iconic blue ad button, my heart skipped a beat and I instinctively moved the mouse over it...ahhh the good ole days
I unfortunately had some problems accessing the store worlds that I bought as digital content thru origin because I have to download those through my Purchase History on the store website. I don't know about you guys, but there is so much in there (between what I've bought, what I've been gifted and what I've gifted others) that most of the time it times out from trying to load. So frustrating!! I finally got in though and got them all, phew!! I can't imagine not having all of my worlds!
Initially when I couldn't access my worlds, I spoke to customer service at EA and they asked if I had the original invoices and codes for the products. I spent the whole day going through emails trying to find them. As painstaking as that was, I also came across all of the emails I received when I was gifted an item from the store. I can't tell you how much it warmed my heart to read the messages and remember the comradery that we all shared. Again, good times I am so thankful to have had the pleasure of owning the store with many of you I only wish there were still ads so I could gift people like we used to, that was soooo much fun.
Anyway, hope everyone had a nice holiday and I wish you all health and happiness in 2021

@simgeek79 - I'm so glad that we able to get all your stuff reinstalled. I too have had a horrific time trying to load my purchase history. I wish they had filters so you could filter out all the items you gifted to others. Fortunately, once you own something, you don't have to go into purchase history. Valgon57's list of all the codes to directly download items saved me from having to go through my purchase history several times, and he gave me permission to include those codes in my datasheet. So, just copying and pasting the direct link in your url box will start the download automatically without having to load any pages - such a time saver and perfect for the branded items that aren't available in the store anymore.
Thanks @Alexciel and @simgeek79! It did feel weird "celebrating" a birthday, probably why we just had the cake I made and didn't really do anything else. I just didn't feel like making a big deal of it with all that is going on now... Hopefully, at some point in the near future, we can all go back to celebrating the way we used to!
I too used the thread by @ciane to re-install my stuff once, and she is so right about pasting the urls from Valgon57 list to bypass the purchase history madness! Big thanks to her for making that thread!

Yes, @rnramey Regina we've also kept things low key and I am so looking forward to a huge party celebrating everything and anything just to be able to gather and see and hug people that I haven't since last March, it's been so hard
Yes @ciane I definitely used those helpful links, but they wouldn't work for the worlds that I had bought thru Origin; those I had to access via my Purchase History. If I clicked on the link for Roaring Heights, Barnacle Bay, Dragon Valley, Hidden Springs and Monte Vista, it would take me to the store page for those worlds but since I didn't buy them that way, there wasn't a Download button available for me to click, only the option to purchase. If it said "Redeem a Code" on the page, I tried entering my original one, but I would get a message saying that the code had already been used. Unfortunately it seemed as though the Purchase History tab was my only solution. (Unless there is another way??!!)
As usual, clicking on Purchase History resulted in the spinning wheel (hate that thing!) but then I just clicked on the screen randomly and it popped open, I was so excited!! It would time out after a few pages (I had over 35!) and a few world downloads, but I thankfully managed to get into my history several times and got them all. I agree, a filter would be sooooo much better!

Well, I just recently got the Nautical Living set on DD (I had been planning on setting an alarm to wake up for it, but "luckily" insomnia set in and I was still awake). That was exciting, but it was also 1:30 and I may have been slap-happy. This made me interested in the Sandy Shoals set, so I think I'm going to aim for that. I like how one set leads to another and another.
My computer began its series of malfunctions back in November, so I most likely missed a bunch of deals between then and last week. On the bright side, it's (mostly) fixed and the impulse buys can continue. Ah, priorities.
I agree about celebrating birthdays since March 2020. My birthday fell early into the pandemic. I didn't know how I would be able to celebrate. But when the day was over, my heart had been filled with the good wishes from family and friends.
@Greylady624 - I really like the lot included in Sandy Shoals set with one exception. I delete the spawner on the roof that creates the seagull sounds. I think @Jude525 posted that tip way back when I complained of the constant seagull sound effects.

Almost the same with creating a waterfall on your lot/house... Its beautiful but its too much noise and its hard to ignore it. Not sure but i think there was somehting bout that a spawner on a lot can create errors or similiar things

All you need to do is to activate buyebug and searching for the fog emitter. After that u can search online for the codes of the fog emitter to give it the waterfall effect.

Sorry I haven't been on in a while, thank you for the birthday wishes, certainly has been a strange year for celebrating occasions but hopefully that will change at some point this year *fingers crossed*
So, we bought a new computer and I have spent the last few days reinstalling all of my stuff! Holy cowplant there's a lot! I just want to thank @ciane for her helpful thread on reinstalling the store - having all of those links is such a timesaver! and @ZeeGee for creating a video tutorial to go along with it, as a visual learner, seeing her do it made it so much easier for this non-techy simmer to understand. I must say though, in her video, her store screen shows the iconic blue ad button, my heart skipped a beat and I instinctively moved the mouse over it...ahhh the good ole days
I unfortunately had some problems accessing the store worlds that I bought as digital content thru origin because I have to download those through my Purchase History on the store website. I don't know about you guys, but there is so much in there (between what I've bought, what I've been gifted and what I've gifted others) that most of the time it times out from trying to load. So frustrating!! I finally got in though and got them all, phew!! I can't imagine not having all of my worlds!
Initially when I couldn't access my worlds, I spoke to customer service at EA and they asked if I had the original invoices and codes for the products. I spent the whole day going through emails trying to find them. As painstaking as that was, I also came across all of the emails I received when I was gifted an item from the store. I can't tell you how much it warmed my heart to read the messages and remember the comradery that we all shared. Again, good times
Anyway, hope everyone had a nice holiday and I wish you all health and happiness in 2021

Yes @ciane I definitely used those helpful links, but they wouldn't work for the worlds that I had bought thru Origin; those I had to access via my Purchase History. If I clicked on the link for Roaring Heights, Barnacle Bay, Dragon Valley, Hidden Springs and Monte Vista, it would take me to the store page for those worlds but since I didn't buy them that way, there wasn't a Download button available for me to click, only the option to purchase. If it said "Redeem a Code" on the page, I tried entering my original one, but I would get a message saying that the code had already been used. Unfortunately it seemed as though the Purchase History tab was my only solution. (Unless there is another way??!!)
As usual, clicking on Purchase History resulted in the spinning wheel (hate that thing!) but then I just clicked on the screen randomly and it popped open, I was so excited!! It would time out after a few pages (I had over 35!) and a few world downloads, but I thankfully managed to get into my history several times and got them all. I agree, a filter would be sooooo much better!

Well, I just recently got the Nautical Living set on DD (I had been planning on setting an alarm to wake up for it, but "luckily" insomnia set in and I was still awake). That was exciting, but it was also 1:30 and I may have been slap-happy. This made me interested in the Sandy Shoals set, so I think I'm going to aim for that. I like how one set leads to another and another.
My computer began its series of malfunctions back in November, so I most likely missed a bunch of deals between then and last week. On the bright side, it's (mostly) fixed and the impulse buys can continue. Ah, priorities.

@Greylady624 - I really like the lot included in Sandy Shoals set with one exception. I delete the spawner on the roof that creates the seagull sounds. I think @Jude525 posted that tip way back when I complained of the constant seagull sound effects.

@KevinL5275 - I am curious. Did you get Hacienda for the DD price? Did the set being stuck on the sales page have any effect? Congrats on getting the Villa. From what I recall, you have to own most of the items for the CYS button to activate.
