This looks awesome! I think I'm going to give this a go...was looking for a new challenge to start (just what I need...already have like 8 going). Thanks for creating this!

So .... thank you for updating with the new stuff first! I'm giving this a go again but I'm doing things a little different. I'm starting a rotating gameplay save and I thought it would be fun to start a WOL this way. And playing each family for a full sim week from Sunday to Sunday. The heirs from each household would go on to complete more of the careers.

    So for instance:

    Family 1: Detective Career
    Family 2: Business Caereer
    Family 3: Critic Career

Since you can turn off aging for your played households when they are inactive (or get a mod that helps manage that such as MC Command Center on MTS), there's no danger of your inactive households aging up. At any rate, it seems like it might be fun to do things this way :)

    UPDATE to Island Living PLZ

    edited September 2019
Okay so I talked to Isela since we're close friends and she's off and on at the moment with sims 4 so I am going to do my best to overhaul and update this for the new packs. So after some more time with the game I went ahead and made some adjustments to the rules and requirements for some of the careers. Feel free to continue to use her version or move over to my version for the careers/rules. We all like to play the game in our own way so no shade if you don't follow things exactly.

    ---Rules---

    1. Any gender can be heir/heiress, unless playing a Patriarchy/Matriarchy.
    2. All states of life are permitted
    3. Members of the household (such as spares or mates) cannot complete the challenges. Only heirs/heiresses are eligible to complete the requirements.
    4. If you don't have the appropriate expansion pack for the selected vocation or bonus, skip it.
    5. Lifetime Rewards may be used if they do not affect the outcome of the generational challenge.
    6. If an heir/heiress fulfills more than one generation's requirements only one may be counted. The other must be completed by a later generation.
    7. If a generation has an aspiration requirement, aspiration may be changed once the requirements for that aspiration are filled.
    8. Choose whatever traits you want but note that same make the jobs easier
9.. You may choose any lifespan that you prefer. Note that some of the challenges are difficult to complete on Normal. You may disable aging temporarily if it will help you complete your tasks. It’s more about completion than it is about time limits.
    11. You DO NOT have to go in order
    12. The bonus objectives are not required, just gameplay elements for added fun or immersion.

Like with some of the other packs this will have a bit of a different feel because it has different requirements and neither option really is a job per-say. That being said this challenge is founded on the idea that you can experience a lot of what the game has to offer and it seemed a shame to bypass this option. So here we go.

    The Sorcerer

    Aspiration
    - Spellcraft and Sorcery

    Skills Needed
    - Spellcasting

    Generational Goals
    - Reach Spellcaster Rank 5
    - Know 10 different spells
    - Master one school of magic
    - Bonus: Befriend a Sage

    The Alchemist

    Aspiration
    - Purveyor of Potions

    Skills Needed
    - Spellcasting

    Generational Goals
    - Reach Spellcaster Rank 5
    - Know 10 different potions
    - Master Alchemy school of magic
    - Bonus: Setup a Magical Garden at your home lot

Obviously this is a work in progress and is probably not perfect. The difficulty between jobs is especially not balanced at all so if anyone has suggestions feel free to post them and I will see what I can do to adjust things.

Edits: Added some options for you who would like a more magical path in life.

@krista8626 Only the main career paths. Non traditional jobs like running a restaurant, shop, or making something out of spellcasting isn't written out yet but I do have that on my mind this week haha.

I am starting a new save to test this baby out.

    tumblr_pycdnbQJw51yvvkp5o1_1280.png

This is Phoenix and Lacey Lee (Lacey was created by @krista8626 ). They are a couple of newlyweds getting ready to start their new lives together. Phoenix will be my focus as he is my part of this pairing and he'll be going Astronaut. Gonna keep things simple for the first generation here. Hopefully I will be able to stick to it because I am pretty excited. ^.^

So I have Discover University and I kind of want to have my heir get a law degree and go into that career path. Sims Community has a guide up for it here. Carl's doesn't have the law degree guide up yet.

There are two branches - Judge and Private Attorney.

So what I'm thinking is this. But I'm open to feedback.

    Possible helpful aspirations:
    For logic:
    Nerd Brain
    Rennaisance Sim
    For Charisma:
    Friend of the World
    Leader of the Pack

For both branches: Max Research & Debate Skill

    For Judge: Max Logic Skill
Visit University Law Class OR Guest Speak at University about Law Interaction 1x per week.
Bonus: Get History degree before joining career

For Private Attorney: Max Charisma Skill
Visit University Law Class 1x per week
Bonus: Get Language and Literature degree before joining career

Visiting the university or speaking at the university may actually be tasks you have to perform for work at home, too. Doing them daily would be overkill but I don't know if it should be a goal more than once per week or not.

Also Carl's has a degree guide and what careers the degrees help with. They also have the new education degree guide up but not yet the new Engineering career guide.

Heh, so, I ended up using a random number generator to choose my heir (because I had four potentials and couldn't decide) so my second generation will be a Botanist (Gardener career).
