Hi, I'm looking for a laptop that can run TS2: UC on either high or medium for under $300. I'll only be playing that and a few arcade games on the laptop. And I live in the US.
I believe they said they would only be playing TS2 and a few arcade games. I doubt they need a $700 gaming laptop for that.
It would be better for any gaming, but an APU (preferably an A10) shouldn't have any issue with any older games since it almost has around 1GB separate VRAM (if you go with an A10).

Im not sure if the sims 2 will run on a cheaper laptop. Sims 3 and 4 do need a gaming computer and some of us play the sims 2 on a gaming pc along with 3 and 4

Gaming laptops range around $1,000 ($900 depending on sales).
Gaming desktops range around $600 (off-the-shelf), $700 (building your own), and $800 (custom).
Since the Sims 2 is quite an old game, you could be able to get away with just an APU since the APUs have more separate VRAM than Intel's graphics cards.
