Sims City Police Station

A few days ago I decided to build a Police Station. Inspiration kicked in so I went with it! Took me a little bit of effort to figure out what works where but I got there eventually. I think it turned out really well, so I thought I'd share it on here!

This is my favorite picture of it. I really wanted the lighting to look nice on the outside, even though you never really spend any time at the station during the night.

It looks okay in daytime too.

It's quite a large build, so I tried my best to make the routing work nicely. I used the task-window as a guide when placing the required rooms. It's not perfect but I'd say most follow-up tasks are within near distance. I also made sure the interrogation room was near the entrance for easy access after an arrest. The prisoners are probably the furthest away, being in the basement an' all, but it's not really an issue.

Here are the floor plans:

You can complete the main tasks on the first two floors (and basement). The two top floors are only for decoration, they are both accessible but your work tasks should not take you there.

Here are some pictures of me play testing everything. I completed a full Case Map, found the suspect etc, and I also made sure break rooms, gym and restrooms worked properly. I also made sure prisoners were in the right places and routing to and from booking station worked without any problems.

I decided not to use move_objects so that there aren't any lag issues for those who struggle. It is already quiet a large build. There are however still a lot of objects around so this build might not suite everyone. :)

If you want it, get it from the gallery with this link:

As all career buildings you have to use bb.enablefreebuild to place it down on the lot. If you do, I recommend taking your policeman/woman out on patrol and then returning to the station, as this will put all npcs in their right places. Sometimes it's not needed though, just a precaution if e.g. the prisoners are feeling too liberated.

The Sims City Police Station looks very great! :) It is a great career lot for sims who are in the Police career to enjoy working at. The exterior design of the building looks very nice! The lighting on the build looks very great! It looks especially nice at evening time! The observatory looks great on the roofing. It looks very nice how the pillars have been used in the build. The police star badge looks great on the front exterior of the building. Very nice layout and furnishing of the interior of the build! The different areas of the build look great! The cells for the prisoners look great how you have designed the area where they are located. The brick wall texture adds to the feel and look of the area. It looks very nice how the desk tables and chairs are set up in the computer desks office room. The bookcases look nice lining the edges of the room. Very nice cafeteria area for sims to enjoy sitting at the tables having a meal or a drink.
It is a very nice career venue :)

Did you bulldoze the existing lot and then build again or build over it, and if so, how did you actually place the lot?

I really love the layout of this. It's a really big building and I love how the police station vibe isn't lost in its entirety given its size!

Layout of which one, there was no link in it...sorry if I'm misunderstanding.

I was meaning to the Original Poster. I love the layout of the design. It's "blueprint" in other words.

I know this is an old post but I just got the get to work expansion. I was wondering how you can use this for someone who is a police officer for their job? Do they have to live there?

Hello @simslove80 :) Welcome to the forums!
You need to travel with your police officer sim to work. Then type into the cheat bar
    testingcheats true
    Press enter
    Then type in
    bb.enablefreebuild
    Press enter
Then enter build mode on the lot. Then bulldoze the current police station, open up your library where you have saved the police station to, and place the build onto the lot.
You can then use that as their work career venue :)
