Do you still play the sims 2 Castaway Stories?

Quick Hey,
Iv been playing the sims 3 (tried making my own castaway, but still laggy after a while, not to mention they keep pulling out their phones playing games, so i decided to play the sims 4 (not castaway), i like it but its lacking something,
So i went back to play the sims Castaway Stories, and i'm absolutely loving it.
So back onto topic,
I'v finished the story, and now i got all these sims, and no place for them to live...
Seriously, i got 2 families living under one hut and there's still not enough room.
So quick question, I read a while ago that you can change the lot types, but its so complex the way they were describing it, and with me being a little dyslexic, its hard for me to follow with the coding ect, so is there a simpler way for me to change the lot types?.... if anyone can remember.
Also another quick question, mods for castaway....
What was your favorite?, what was necessary for your gameplay?.
I personally love the game as it is, though a quick cheat to pretty up the sims would be delightful.
