Tips on building this?!

Okay, i recently downloaded this house from the gallery and i LOVE it! However, anytime i try to remake the kitchen or any room similar to this, it wont let me. Like i cant put a roof over it and its basically like a room that's unfinished.
Any tips on successfully making a house where i can put stairs like the kitchen?

You have to make it as a room then select room > click on floor > remove floor. Unless it's changed recently. You can replace wall with fence (use cheapest type) to separate the room at the top of the stairs and it will disappear auto when you place the steps. Only works at the top of the stairs though, not the bottom. To only replace -some- of the wall with fence, hold down alt and click on each wall section with the fence replace tool.

The biggest tip I can give you is to ask this in the building lot section of the forums.

Build the rooms on the same level with the foundation:

Replace the wall with fence where you want the steps to be (hold Alt and click each wall section with the fences > replace tool):

Remove the floor of the kitchen/sunken room:

Add stairs where the fence is. (You don't need to remove the fence)

    Decorate as normal.

Another tip, you will have to use MOO (bb.moveobjects on) to have the counters placed next to the foundation. And even then I'm not sure it's actually possible or if it is possible whether it's useable in game, so you will have to try that.

I tried, without MOO, and you simply aren't allowed to place kitchen counters immediately next to foundations (you can place pretty much any other object there but not counters).

Good luck! Let us know how it worked out.

And the disagrees, that's just someone who has nothing better to do and opens a thread and clicks disagree on every post - happened on one of my own threads as well. Just ignore.

Probably a disagree troll who isn't happy that we're discussing TS4 stuff. :P
