Weird thing with Power LED light?

So my laptop has a LED light on the power button, I noticed it was really dim. So I tapped both sides of it and it flickered brighter and after a few seconds it sprang back to full brightness. Why did it do that? None of the other lights on the side or keyboard did it.

It could be a bad connection on the motherboard, like a short.

My battery is old too. Only charges to 91% and shuts off at 20-25%. I'm going to get a new one eventually.
