@Lizzie Maybe you could edit your first post here to contain all the rules and maybe link the chaos posts? Then people could read all about this challenge right away without reading through all of our praise comments to find them :D Or link your blog in the first post
Haha that is a very good point, I wasn't expecting such praise! I'll sort through it all now :p

Aw! I understand now. It was just really late when I commented that's all! I'm not studying or doing anything apart from waiting for my results, so that's fine. :)

Of course I will! I'd love to try it out. But I know I have to do my legacy and the 100 Baby Challenge first. I'm super excited to try this out though! :)

Love seeing you update this! Keep up the awesome work. :)<3
Okey dokey, ooh I bet you're excited, when do your results come in?
Yay! Haha oh my goodness, so it'll be around a year when you're ready? :joy: I could never do a 100 baby challenge, I think I got to baby 26 a few months ago and got bored :joy:
Aw thank you :D I'm working on another chaos at the moment :p

I think September! Haha I hope I don't have to wait that long! :)

A new chaos! Entitled Over-zealousness it is the direct opposite of the issue in Lack of Purpose
A requirement for this challenge, since it is a big one I will warn you early on, is to have one subject at the top of each ‘purposeful’ career, they must also be married and have children older than babies. It is up to you whether you cheat or take the time to set this up during the earlier stages of this challenge.

    Over-zealousness
The realm has gone mad with purpose! Every citizen is so completely absorbed in the values and lifestyle that the monarchs promote that there is little room for much else. While this should make the royals happy, they worry that their subjects will become too focused to look after themselves and their families. Something must be done to promote balance in the realm.

    a) Dedication: The people used to like doing different things and enjoying time away from their purpose but now they’re insatiable! The king is worried that this will cause a long term financial crisis and the queen fears for the social climate. Have three people from court (ladies in waiting, guards etc) befriend three subjects in an attempt to persuade them. Have the king’s guard join separate ‘purposeful’ careers to see if it is having any effect on the riches of the realm.

    b) Priorities: It turns out that while there is no immediate effect from this newfound drive in subjects, it is clear that eventually the realm will collapse financially if it is not dealt with. The king wishes to quietly warn his people of the troubles this could bring while the queen is adamant a firm hand is required.
The king’s guard must now infiltrate the workplace higher up, by reaching l.v 5, and befriend two colleagues each. If you prefer this method, follow c.
The queen however refuses to sit back and watch her society fall and declares that all those who spend more than 8 hours a day doing purposeful activities are to be arrested. A curfew is also imposed so that families are together from 8pm until 8am on weekdays and 11pm until 8am on weekends. The queen and her ladies are now disliked by a member of every household in the realm. If you prefer this method, follow d.

    c) Climbing the ladder: The kings’ guard have managed to warn everybody on the lower levels, but without any power they can only decide how they act. The top level workers must be persuaded. Five citizens must gain l.v 4 of a skill related to another realm. The kings’ guard must now reach l.v. 9 of their careers and befriend all of their colleagues, but not their boss. Follow e.

    d) Hell hath no fury: The queen’s impatience has lost her friends and allies within the realm, but her scaremongering is working. The people of the realm are so scared of her wrath that they refuse to focus on their purpose for any more than 4 hours a day and won’t be seen out of their house after 6pm, even on weekends. Six citizens have quit their jobs and so have cost the royal household $5000. Follow f.

    e) Politics and compromise: The king himself meets with the career leaders to inform them of the problem. He offers that in exchange for giving workers one day off every two weeks to pursue other interests, take downtime and spend time with family, he will ensure that their families will hold a high place in court for the foreseeable future. Move out any children from the bosses’ households and place them in court as ladies in waiting or guards in training. Follow g.

    f) Society and fortune: The social climate of the realm is where it should be, lowly subjects fearing their queen and obeying the rules. Although this is costing the royal household money, they can surely employ their favoured friends. Employ the six citizens with the highest relationship level with the queen (these must be advanced to friend or higher if just acquaintances) at the levels of the six who quit their jobs. Take another $5000 from the royal household.

    g) Brewing storm or drop in the ocean?: With money worries resolved and the over-zealous nature of the people calmed, all seems well. Unfortunately it transpires that the king’s actions were not quick enough. Four subjects died focusing too hard on their purpose and not enough on their surrounding environment. Furthermore, it has been rumoured that the career leaders are now vying for the throne, thanks to their own riches and their children’s places at court. Kill four subjects, one by drowning, one by electrocution, one by starvation and one by fire. Have the two career bosses dislike the King and Queen.

We finally have our fifth chaos for the challenge! This one is almost the opposite of Population Crisis and is much shorter than the others, but no easier! Enjoy :3

    Over-Population

Please note: this challenge cannot be implemented in Magnolia Promenade

In recent days the people of the realm have been, well, everywhere. It would appear that every household is crammed full of children and their elders and it just won’t stop. As nice as it is to see such family values, the realm can’t sustain this amount of people and surely can’t expand its borders. Something must be done to prevent a population explosion!

    a) Ready to burst: The King and Queen returned from their latest tour of the realm and were overwhelmed by the number of people in the streets, houses and everywhere in between! Every household must have at least one elder and three children, with two households that have eight sims in.

    b) Cost Effective: It would appear that having babies and large households means working subjects and less money for the realm. Worse yet, the families that are growing are growing in poverty while the richer families have one or two children every generation. The king and queen have joined forces to tackle this problem and propose to increase taxes and pass a law ensuring that every subject older than a teenager must work full time unless pregnant or ill. Take $2000 from every household and add it to the royal household. Employ every young/adult/elder in a full time career.

    c) Public Relations: The royal family seem to have missed the point slightly, now aggravated and exhausted from work the people of the realm are still multiplying. The phenomenon is even extending to court and so an educational programme is put into place. Have the two oldest members of each household dislike the King or Queen, employ three l.v 8 doctors to deliver babies and educate families on how to avoid accidental conceptions by giving every subject in the realm ‘good medical advice’. Two ladies in waiting are also pregnant.

    d) Learning Curve: The educational programme combined with the raise in taxes appears to have stemmed the population boom for now. Although longevity is also an issue, with nowhere for the elders to retire to and their anger increasing at the new law for them to work. Build a retirement home (or a few) and move every elderly sim into this new home. The new law has added exceptions; if they have worked in the same career since they were young adults they may retire and if they have worked in this career since they were adults or older they may go part-time. If they were never employed until elderly, they cannot stop working.

    e) Unfortunate Stabilisation: Due to the new knowledge that the subjects may now copulate without producing a baby, it would appear that they have taken this a little too far. The subjects of the realm are dying of, well, too much ‘bedroom interaction’. While this is tragic and must be solved, it is an unusual and unfortunate solution to the overpopulation. 4 sims die from too much woohoo. Send the doctors in again to give every subject ‘good medical advice’.

    f) Solution at Last: now that the subjects are educated fully in the matter of procreation and more and more are becoming deterred from having too many children, the realm seems to be at peace again. From now on, pregnant sims cannot take family leave until after the baby is born and are only entitled until they are a child. Only one parent may take family leave for adoption and only the pregnant sim after the birth. Taxes are to be taken weekly from each household at $2000 each and given to the royal household. All sims are required to leave their families and move into a retirement home once an elder.

The sixth chaos is here! I noticed a recent spike in visits to the site so thought I might reestablish the challenge. Here is
    Civil War

Please note: this chaos works best with the Get Together expansion pack but does not require it. Without the EP, use your own creativity to set up factions.

The government services have unveiled a series of elitist clubs that are in opposition with the monarchy. Rumour has it, this is in response to a secret club featuring the monarchs themselves and their favourite subjects. Something must be done before an uprising occurs!

    a) Secret societies: The lead of the monarch’s personal guard has discovered three societies in the realm. Each society is dedicated to the way of life found in each of the other three realms, they would rather their own realm changed its ways than simply relocate. Create three new clubs; each restricted by invite only and the careers, wealth and activities that corresponds with one of the other realms. Every neighbourhood must have at least one member in one of the societies, no sim may belong to more than one at once.

    b) Rumour has it:
It would appear the clubs each want reform in the realm due to rumours that the monarchs play favourites with their subjects. Create a club to which the monarchs (no heirs) belong and four members. The four members must be the richest in the realm, must be at the top of the realm’s favoured career(s) and must come from separate households. The meeting place for this club is the palace itself.

    c) Connections: The secret societies are growing in numbers by the day, but only one is dangerously strong. One of the societies has another monarch as its leader! Worse yet, the realm is starting to get wind of their own monarchs’ club of favourites. Employ three l.v 4 writers to promote the fairness and non-elitist nature of the monarchs. With another monarch leading a society, each member must now dislike the monarchs and change their aspirations to fit their reformed ideals. By now each society must have a uniform and perks inspired by their realm and its activities.

    d) Numbers game: Each society must now gain a new member as their ideas grow in popularity. This is caused by the worst betrayal, there is a mole within the monarchs’ secret society! One member of the monarchs’ society must be also a member of the faction with another monarch for a leader. Employ two detectives (or secret agents) (l.v 4 and l.v 2) to find out who this mole is! If you already possessed these workers before chaos ensued, proceed to f). If not, continue to e).

    e) Fracture: The realm is divided into four; three factions and loyalists to the crown. Sadly, the loyalists are greatly outnumbered with two less members than each society. Good news is the mole has been outed! They are now enemies of the crown and will be imprisoned before they are trialled for their treason. Bad news, they were found out since they announced the rebellion plans by the other realm – it’s too late! Employ six astronauts to level 5 and send them out to patrol the borders. They must be moved out or treated as NPCs. By now, the loyalists must have the infamous perk while the other monarch’s faction must be popular. Proceed to g).

    f) Loyalty: The monarchs have decided that they must stop any more threats of disloyalty. A band of loyalists has already come together in their honour; each member’s household will receive $1000 from the monarchs’ personal funds for every member their club gains. If it manages to persuade members of another faction, the reward is doubled. The mole is outed when they announce that the plans for rebellion have stalled due to the loss of two members to the loyalists. The loyalists club must have the popular perk, the other factions must be infamous. Continue to h).

    g) Defence: With the threat of civil war on their hands, the other factions have offered to join forces with the loyalists. In return they demand that the monarchs disband their secret society and compensate all their subjects for their neglect. By now the loyalists and the rivals must have 25 or more active perks in their club. Will they agree? If so continue to i). If not, proceed to j).

    h) Secrecy: When the crown appeals to its subjects to disband the factions and unite with their rulers to avoid further threats of war, the subjects fight back at their favouritism. Regardless that the war has been stalled, the realm they live in is not for them anymore! They offer the monarchs a choice; disband the secret society and compensate all their subjects for their neglect or face an uprising from a united realm. By now the loyalists and the rivals must have 25 or more active perks in their club. Will they agree? If so continue to i). If not, proceed to j).

    i) Reparations: It has become apparent that what was once a social club for the hardest working and best families in the realm is now seen as a cult favoured and furthered by the crown. The monarchs disband their society and promise a fairer system, paying out $500 to every family that did not belong to the society. In response, the happier families disband their factions and the other monarch is left with only one realm to rule. Although they are now severely disliked by the monarchs of this one. With the loyalists reinforced and civil war avoided, the monarchs decide it is about time that more places to meet and socialise are developed. Three new hangouts are built.

    j) Repercussions: The crown refuses the offer, saying that they are entitled to socialise with and reward the hardest working families in the realm. The three factions are not bluffing, they unite as one sole rebellion and force themselves on the monarchs. All soldiers at the border are killed and the households begin wearing the colours of the other monarch. Their aspirations and careers are influenced and citizens that are still growing begin to adopt traits of the other realm. With only a few loyalists remaining and their secret society, the crown must employ a strategy to tackle the civil war. Will they relinquish their title and be absorbed by their rival realm, compromise and allow their citizens to coexist with differing ideals or fight back and win their realm over with the risk of further bloodshed and disaster?

Hey! I know this hasn't been updated in years, but can I have five families? Or are they're not five types of cards?
