Would it be totally unreasonable to swap two of the generations around? I.e I'd like to do this with my simself who would be a writer, so could I switch gen. 3 and gen. 1 around for this purpose?
Officially you're not meant to, but personally I'd say it's fine, in fact I think I'll end up swapping some of the generations goals at some point myself. If you are committing to a sim family for 10 generations, I think you should be able to play them in an order that feels right.
I can't think of anythingthat would give you an unfair advantage if you swap these particular generations either... except perhaps your generation 3 gardener is going to have loads of money already, so they won't struggle to make ends meet while building up their gardening skill. Then again, you'll have a struggling author to deal with
@ThePlumbob thanks for replying! I agree with you, I don't think there's much difference in the two as for difficulty and it is for a story as well which always ends up bending the rules haha! Yeah the struggling author thing also seems more realistic in these times
@ThePlumbob well, I may have already gone ahead and decided it will be a sequel to Lilliana's legacy. The final heiress will then be the founder of the legacy in building Newcrest Aw that's so sweet! I want to read yours actually, just saw your signature Do you read my story? (I won't be offended if you don't I'm just curious how far in you are?)

I do but I'm still on Lilianna's generation - I'm so behind LOL

Haha that's fine, I might have told you already but I've generally been saying how my updates will be few and far between until the 16th August from Friday onwards so it's the perfect time to catch up haha. Also, don't tell anybody else what I told you here, they might see it anyway but once you've read Layla's final chapter: The prophecy, come back to what I've said here and it will make more sense

I am thinking about trying this challenge but unsure where is best to start.
The forum would get clogged if everyone created a new thread for a question ^^
