Hi there! My name's Lilianna Moonchild and this is my story. Where to begin? Well I guess y'all should know a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Appaloosa Plains with two wonderful parents; daddy was a firefighter and mama the best cook in all of Appaloosa! I had four brothers, three sisters, six horses and a dog called Rocky. We made up a big family on a big farm, my favourite days were in the summer when I could help out in the garden and the stables. It was a shame that town was just too small, I did love my family and the way we did things in the Plains. So very different from Starlight Shores, it's just so glamorous! Which is why I'm here.
I always had a talent for music from an early age, some would say I was a natural born performer, daddy called me his little virtuoso. I lived and breathed country music, Carrie, Shania and Miranda were my favourites. Mama adored Dolly and my little sisters had a huge thing for Taylor Swift! I always had high ambitions, and nothing changed when I turned 18 and headed for the big city. I'm gonna be the next big country star, just you wait and see! I suppose I should show you around a bit, huh? It's not much but it's home. So much space outdoors too, I just love it!
I've got enough to get by on, for now. Mama would be laughing her socks off right about now, she knows I can't cook for toffee. Well everybody's gotta start somewhere!
But you should see the view from my house! I'm living right at the top of this grand mountain and I can just see the most beautiful mansion down the drive! I'll be living somewhere like that one day. One day, when I've become a singing sensation and I have all the money in the world, I won't ever have to worry like daddy did. Life won't ever be as hard as it was back on the farm...
My old friend Clarisse had moved out here a couple years back and I hoped she could help me out. I'd emailed her before I left and she said to meet her at Verde Park as soon as I'd settled in.
"Clarisse, I could really use some help. I need a job but I have to have time for my singing too, it's the only reason I came out here. I need the money so badly..." It had suddenly hit me how I didn't have any funds and I had to support myself.
"Oh honey, don't sweat it. There's a temp job my friend does, they perform these little ditties for clients. It's like a birthday card except they get a balloons and a singer on their doorstep. It's all the rage at the moment. She's been complaining how her friend dropped out last minute and left her all her clients. I'm sure she'd appreciate the help. And who knows? Maybe it'll go somewhere?" Clarisse really is the best! A job where I sing all day, how could there be a downside?
Ok, so the costume isn't the most flattering, and well the hat is just plain embarrassing. But hey, I have a job! Where I sing! I knew Starlight Shores would be the best place ever! I thought I'd try to get some tips, sing for my supper so to speak. Little did I know I'd actually attract a crowd!
So I only made $50, at least I made some new friends too! Mimi was really sweet, and so was Richter. He and I got talking, apparently his parents owned a farm in Riverview and he loved the outdoors just as much as me! I guess since I'd ditched the Appaloosa threads for something a little more Starlight style, people were more welcoming to me.
I got home and managed to make myself a salad, mama would be proud! And that night I dreamed of what I had dreamed about since I was five years old, being a superstar.
And when I woke up the next morning, I knew that my journey had already begun.

It was my second day in Starlight Shores and I had a certain spring in my step. Everything seemed sunnier and prettier now that I had a job and some cash in the piggy bank! I'd written my love to mama and the family, I missed them so much but I had no choice in leaving the Plains. Mama said she understood but, with daddy's passing and the monsters (my siblings) all growing up and moving out, I had a feeling she wished I'd stayed. My second morning went by very quickly with plenty to get done, I cooked breakfast and read the news. Daddy always said an educated mind is an inspirational one, and boy did I wanna be inspirational!
I headed straight to the beach and managed to draw a crowd and some tips. The money wasn't great but it was decent exposure! At least that's what Kerri says, she was hinting at a managerial role on my 'road to greatness' - how could I say no?
I had Sing-o-grams to perform to various citizens and it was humbling to say the least. One of my clients was at one of the high-class private clubs on the strip, I could only dream of being rich enough to go there, or maybe even perform there! There was a stranger, more low-brow club further down the strip where my next client waited. He seemed nice enough, but the club turned out to be a rodeo - it wasn't a patch on my hometown!
That night I could pay my bills and even have a little left over. It was a long night though, an attempted burglary woke me in the early hours of Tuesday morning! Luckily a very nice policeman came and saved me, to think I had only been in town for two days!
The next few days flew by; I saw a SimFest at Verde Park, the talent was so amazing! I carried on working for clients and then the amazing happened. I scored a gig at the park!
I was so excited I called Kerri straight away to tell her the good news, and she had a couple suggestions in mind...
"Honey! That's so exciting! Do you know what you're gonna wear?" She squeaked down the phone. "Uh, well I was just gonna wear my sing-o-gram costume?" I hadn't thought that far in advance.
"Oh really?" She cooed down the phone. "Yes?" "No." She cut me dead. "No honey, you're not. You are going to go the salon right now and put on this outfit I have just picked out for you. Spit spot! You are so lucky you have me! See you later babe, good luck tonight! Break a leg!" And with that the call ended. Guess I needed to get myself to the salon and try it on. Nothing could have prepared me for what I would find.
It was horrifying! Mama would have fallen down and daddy would be turning in his grave, how could I possibly perform with all this on show? But the clock was ticking and I had no other options, so off to Verde Park I ran. I whispered apologies to mama and daddy all the way there.
My performance went surprisingly well, for a first appearance anyway. The reviews weren't glowing but the crowd seemed to enjoy themselves. Being up on stage was so amazing, regardless of my stupid costume I loved every minute! Mama might have been proud after all...
I even managed to score another gig at a coffeehouse, it was one step closer to the big venues I'd been working at! But this time, I wouldn't be caught dead in that sequined deathtrap!
When I went back to the salon the next day, of all the people in the world I had to run into Richter Steele. He was so handsome and cool and here I was all southern and flustered in last night's costume. I managed to survive his laughter, externally at least, inside I was mortified. "Honestly, I didn't choose it!" "Sure thing Lil, I believe you," he winked at me and I discreetly melted, "seriously! Rich!" I was floundering but he seemed to be enjoying himself. "It's ok, if your gig went well, then no harm? Anyway, what're you doing back here so soon?" "To get rid of the darned thing of course!" We both laughed and he went on his way, now to get back to business.
Kerri was a little surprised that I didn't like my costume but agreed to let me handle it under some strict instructions. The outfit chosen had to be no longer than knee-length, sleeveless preferably with cleavage, make-up is mandatory, as is a new hairstyle. Oh, and keep the boots!
I did myself justice, I like to think.
My coffehouse gig was coming up soon so I headed to the beach to do a warm up. I strolled over to the park to fill Clarisse in on my way. "Oh sweetie, how wonderful! You know, we have an opening on Saturday night if you're interested?" More performances? I was all in!
At the beach I ran into Richter Steele, yet again. All dressed up for my gig, he didn't seem to recognise me at first, but when he did he seemed much more interested. Was he flirting with me? Mama would have something to say about this!
My friday night at the coffeehouse went better than expected, it was just a total thrill! Richter disappeared before my last song, but I didn't care. I was finally doing what I loved most!
She does seem quite grounded! Ooh i like the idea of each generation getting famous in their own right, The acrobat one is going to be fun - I never really played that career much
I bookmarked your thread!

I loved the way you had built up Lilianna's story arc, through coming of age, transformation and heartbreak to happiness and success. Poor Layla! Her recent chapters are really intriguing and I'm looking forwards for some mystery and suspense to build up!
