Ghost Towns

I have played the same game since day one. All my original residents are now deceased and there are plenty of new NCP townies running around. No one is living in any of the homes any more except for my original family, their daughters and spouses. They are all fairly high priced homes. Will the game automatically move siims into houses? Or will I have to go into the gallery and place each family on a vacant lot, motherlode them to death and place them myself?

That's what I do, It gets a bit annoying though...
To make it easier use the ' freerealestate ' cheat so you don't have to motherlode them!
