Lot Cost in Gallery Different from Game

I've noticed that the cost of lots shown in the gallery don't match what is in the game. For example, I found a bakery lot listed at around §17,000, but when I downloaded it, the bakery costs more than §80,000. The same has been true of residential lots and community lots. What is causing this?

In all seriousness, I'm not too sure! What was the exact cost of the bakery in-game (before and after download)? And have you got any other examples of this glitch with their exact costs too? We may see a pattern! *puts on glasses*

The cost in the Gallery doesn't include the land.

I realize it doesn't include the land, and always take that into account when downloading. I'm seeing lots that turn out to cost waay more than the original.

I'll try to find more examples.

Here's one. The Newcrest Contempo Starter home (link below). It's listed as §19,779 in the gallery. I placed it on a lot costing §3,500, but it shows up as costing §42,856 in the game.

I believe there is a cost for furnished and unfurnished, however I might be wrong.

What you may be seeing is the cost of it being furnished and the structure may be unfurnished with a cost of $17,000 in your gallery.

No, the OP is correct, the lot shows a furnished cost of $19,779 in the Gallery but costs $19,577 more in game. This is because the lot includes several sim created paintings. The Gallery does not take into account the cost of these paintings, but the game does. We do have this reported as a bug on our Build Mode Feedback thread, so the developers should be aware of it.

Not all build mode bugs and glitches have been reported to AHQ, although many of them have, but because the developers keep an eye on our Build Mode Feedback thread already, it's another good place to see if your issue has been reported, if it pertains to build mode and is not on AHQ.
