Sims 2 Page up and down doesn't work!

Okay, so I decided to play my current household that I'm playing and pressed page down to go downstairs but instead of going down a level (Like it used to and should) it sped up time time instead! I'm so sad as I always use page up/down and home/end
Does anyone know how to fix this? I didn't touch any of the settings so I don't get what happened, does anyone know how I can fix this or why it happened?

Do you use your number pad to page up and page down or the page up/down buttons? If it's the number pad, I bet you accidentally hit the Num Lock button at some point. Just hit the Num Lock button again and it should be fixed.
