Custom Content question

Hey everyone! I have been searching around and haven't exactly found what I am looking for so thought I'd try here.

I'm a bit of a custom content addict. I now have some 3 thousand files in my game and I am looking for a program to help me see exactly what each file looks like and hopefully there will be an option to delete it should I choose to. I tried that custom content manager but it kept crashing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Also, as far as sub folders go, could anyone possibly give me some info on that as well?

I don't think so. You can put the CC in your mods folder with the images they sometimes provide and if they don't prove an image in the folder you can make one. Also subfolders help.

Thanks! Can I simply just make a extra folder say something like "hair" and just drop files into it and that's it? Or do I need to do anything extra besides adding extra folders into the Mods one?

You need to change your resource config in order for the folders to get recognized.

Oh boy :/ Is this complicated to do? I'm not new to the game but have never bothered creating sub folders in my mods one. At this point, I'm ready to just start fresh and control myself! LOL! I'm just scared if I delete everything I will ruin my game...

Just go to your mod's folder and find a file name resource.cfg right click it and use notepad to open it.

And you should see something like this

Priority 500
PackedFile *.package

I somehow missed that you replied weeks ago! Thank you so much! I actually got it figured out. Someone had their file up for DL so I was able to plop it into my mods folder and roll. So much easier to keep track of CC when it's in subfolders! Can't believe I never knew you could do that haha

I am glad that you were able to work out how to have subfolders in your game and are now using them.
