This is just a story I started as I was collecting pictures to share with my friend since they seemed to pile up I thought it be fun to share their story.
These are my sims Caitlynn Baker(red hair) & Shannen Kitty(brown hair). They represent myself and my best friend so it’s a Sims Self story in a way. Caitlynn is a fortune sim who wants to earn $100,000. Shannen is a Knowledge sim who wants to become a city planner.
The two lived in the downtown area where Caitlynn ran a small bakery out of their home. Shannen would help out after work or on her days off.
Pretty soon new years came around and they threw a party where father time showed up.
Caitlynn and Shannen both made a new years resolution found someone they liked, but for these too it didn't take them long to find a fellow they liked. Shannen was smitten with a fellow named Luc King she met on an outing with some friends. Caitlynn found herself falling for Malcolm Langraab IV.
Caitlynn discovered she had no problem showing up at Malcolm’s electronics store unannounced and doing whatever she pleased while Malcolm worked. She was just happy to be around him and eyeing his wealth.
Pretty soon both girls felt ready to take their relationships to the next level. This also meant they would need a much bigger house.
When everyone had the time off they threw a double wedding inviting all their friends.
When the vows were said and rings exchanged they each cut the wedding cake where their husbands feed them a slice. Poor Caitlynn had her slice shoved into her mouth.
A toast was than held in honor of the newly-wedded couples. Each guest taking their turn to congratulate the couples.
Before long Caitlynn and Shannen found out a small bundle of joy was on the way. Of course they wished the nausea go away.
Both of them were pretty far along when Caitlynn thought it was a good time to work on the old Junker in the garage. Malcolm wanting some time to himself decided to spend the day outside raking leaves as it sure beat staying inside with two pregnant woman.
Before they knew it three young ones were born and ready to move onto the next stage of their lives. Shannen had given birth to twins, Caleb & Katy King. Caitlynn had given birth to a boy, Shane Landgraab IV.
Before going any further I just wanted to show off their house
Ch.4: Growing
Raising three toddlers wasn’t so bad since there were four adults and before long each tot knew how to walk, talk and use the potty.
It couldn’t have been any sooner as their birthday’s were right around the corner. All three tots were feeling ready to take on their next life stage no matter what came at them. The best part of their birthday was Santa’s late night visit!
Shannen had been giving another little surprise. She had another child on the way. She just hoped it wasn’t another set of twins.
All the children had pleaded with Malcolm to coach Little Llama’s, Desiderata Valley’s local childrens soccer team. Malcolm gave in and started by giving them a very intense at home workout.
With another family member on the way the family thought it was a good time to take a family photo.
While Shannen was at home dealing with an aspiration failure Caitlynn and Malcolm were out on a date enjoying themselves and celebrating the fact that their only child would soon be a teenager and off to college.
Shannen finally gave birth to her third and final child, Jordan King (somehow that seems so fitting.) and pretty soon his toddler birthday was here.
Following right after him was Caleb, Katy, and Shane. It was their sweet 16 (well okay they’ll have one major growth spurt) They were feeling very confident about their teen stage and knew they were prepared. For Aspirations Caleb got romance and wants to become a rock god, Katy got family and wants six grandchildren, and Shane got pleasure and wants to become a professional party guest.
It didn’t take Caleb long too find a girl who took his fancy. Sure he probably shouldn’t have had his first kiss in the unused nursery but it was the room with less traffic.
To their parents delight and horror Shane and Katy started going out. They just made sure to keep an close eye on them and never leave them in a room by themselves.
Almost too soon, it was time for them to head off too college before they became adults as they wouldn’t be able to go after their adult birthday. At least if they went, they could choose to drop out and not regret their choice in choosing not to go. Joining them was Jessica Caleb’s girlfriend who was also a romance sim and wanted to become a celebrity chef.
With the oldest ones off to college, only Jordan remained ready to take on his child life state.
But Jordan wasn’t the only one ready to take on his next life stage Luc and Malcolm became elder’s.
Caitlynn knew they weren’t getting any younger and with the older children making it too college on scholarships they had enough money saved up for her to start up her own restaurant/bakery. Caitlynn worked as the server while Shannen was the chef. Malcolm took on the role of the host while Luc worked in the bakery.
While the adults were busy with the restaurant Jordan befriended a witch. A witch who thought he had great potential.
Summer was here and Jordan played Marco Polo with his father who was soon tired out. Luc was finding it difficult raising a child as an elder and all Shannen said was “you’re the one that wants to put three children through college.”
Caitlynn and Malcolm found themselves a bit lonely without their only child around so they adopted a dog named Otis.
Without realizing it Caitlynn and Shannen joined their husbands in the grey-haired elder life stage.
At Sim University...
Caleb, Katy, Shane, and Jessica all found themselves adjusting to the dorm life quite well.
Shane and Katy enjoyed the much needed freedom from their hovering parents and Caleb liked having Jessica around all the time.
However, sometimes he wish she wasn’t around. He couldn’t help it he liked her and Tristan, a cheerleader who always visited the dorm. He thought Jessica should respect that aspect about him as she was like him just he hadn’t caught her at it. Of Course, Jessica was smart enough to take her other love out rather than stay at the dorm.
This is just to show off the dorm their staying in
Thank you I don't care for the premade dorms only cause of the tiny rooms so I usually build my own and just decorate the rooms for the sims that'll live there lol
For Caleb his whole love life was a mess so when Katy and Jessica were at classes he and Shane had some guy talk. Caleb only hoped Shane could give him some worthy advice. How exactly was he able to have eyes only for Katy, of course if he didn’t Caleb would have took a fist to him.
One evening, Katy being unaware of the situation, had invited Tristan over to hang out with her and Jessica because they were both her good friends they decided to just try and get along.
For the four of them Graduation couldn’t have come any sooner. Before moving out of the dorm they threw a grand graduation party inviting all their friends and even their parents.
Back at Desiderata Valley...
Shane and Katy moved into their very own house with Caleb tagging along as Jessica and him had decided to take a break from each other. Jessica had moved into her own house hoping Caleb would think seriously about where their relationship was going now that they were adults. It was times like this she really envied Katy and Shane’s relationship as they were already planning their wedding but for them it was just a matter of fact.
Caleb had come to realize he felt lonely in Shane and Katy’s house without Jessica, it just didn’t felt right that the four of them weren’t together, no that the two of them weren’t together. Caleb felt like he just had an epiphany.
After much begging and talking on Caleb’s end Jessica decided to give him another chance. A chance he didn’t mess up.
It didn’t take them long to tie the knot but to their surprise they were married before Katy and Shane. Katy had explained her and Shane had decided to wait till their trip to Twikkii Island to marry.
Twikkii Island...
Once they were all checked into their lodgings, the two couples visited the boardwalk where they bought some traditional Twikki Island clothing and learned the traditional fire dance.
The next day they visited an outdoor spa where they learned to the traditional hula dance. While they were there Caleb and Jessica tried out the Sauna.
On the second to last day Katy and Shane traveled to the beach where they held a private ceremony. (Yes that is my Avi LOL)
With it being their last night in Twikkii Island the couples decided to explore the pirate ship where they found the captain’s ghost, who taught them a Sea Shanty.
During their last morning there both couples just spent some time alone in their rooms until the taxi to take them to the airport came and picked them up.
Let’s not forget the family photo they took to remember the trip.
When they returned home a Genie lamp was found by the front door. Shane wasn’t sure what to wish for so he put it away for a later date. Perhaps a future generation might need it.
Shane also managed to talk Katy into adopting a puppy, he loved playing with Otis whenever he visited his parents house and wanted a dog of his own.
Not long after they were back from their vacation Jessica discovered she was pregnant. She tried to hide it as she needed to mentally prepare herself but eventually the truth came out.
Though it turned out Jesscia wasn’t the only expecting mother. Shane and Katy had their own little one on the way.
To Caleb’s horror both women went into labor at the same time with Shane at work! How was he to handle this situation on his own?
Back at the main house Jordan was finally a teen and on his first night as a teen he was abducted by aliens. Than when he was returned home he called up Sims University where he discovered he qualified for a scholarship.
Although, he wasn’t sure he wanted to go Jordan went off to university. His father went with him to get a look at the dorm hoping Jordan would be able to help him complete his life aspiration of graduating three children from university.
All the elders feeling relieved all the children are finally out of the house took no time in planning a trip to Takemizu Village to celebrate.
They had arrived late in the night to they decided to just stay at their lodgings until morning. Malcolm chatted with the locals and learned to bow. Than he taught it to Luc and Caitlynn, who taught Shannen.
Before turning in for the night like Caitlyn and Malcolm, Shannen and Luc tried out the sauna.
In the morning the foursome took a tour of the bamboo forest but when they arrived they discovered the park was closed. The tour group pleaded their case with the guards who let them in for just a bit.
They visited the Zen garden where each of them took turns grooming it.
It really wasn’t a trip to Takemizu Village unless you soaked in their famous hot springs.
On the last night they had booked one last tour but first they tried out a local dish than enjoyed some lovely smelling and tasting tea.
They were sad when it was finally time to check out and return home but they returned feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Jordan fresh out of university (since I did the university thing with his siblings I didn’t take any pics of his time there.) had found a place of his own and invited his childhood friend and long time girlfriend, Suzie Riley (She did join him in university) to live with him. Tonight they were on a special date, it was their five year anniversary (I‘m counting like teen=1yr, Uni freshman=1yr etc…).
After being together for five years, Jordan knew she was the one for him so tonight he decided was the night to propose. During dinner he carefully placed the ring box on a corner of the table near Suzie, she saw and opened it right away without hesitation she said yes.
Back at the main house the phone had been ringing off the hook. Shannen had got a call from Caleb to invite them to their first grandchildren’s birthday party.
Tyler and Issac’s birthday had come too soon for the new parents as they felt they’d just got used to the daily routine they had for the babies. The whole family had been invited but only their parents showed up.
Not long after the boys had their birthday Caleb and Jessica were excitedly awaiting the arrival of another child. Katy talked with Shane about moving out as the house was beginning to feel a bit cramped. Shane was against it at first but when Katy told him she was also expecting he agreed and they decided to move back in with their parents after discussing it with them.
Caleb still unable to find a job and caring for his pregnant wife spent lots of time with Tyler. In no time he had Tyler walking, talking, singing nursery rhymes, and using the potty.
He didn’t forget to pay attention to his wife and their unborn child as well. His wife was sure they’d have a girl this time and who was he to argue with her but the thought of twins just didn’t leave his mind. He never voiced it but being a twin himself he couldn’t help but think they could have twins.
Tyler really took a liking to their puppy Max and Max seemed to like him too. Sheba didn’t seem to mind Tyler either but she did become protective of him when strangers came near.
When Tyler was napping Caleb used the time to clean up the house. Somehow there always seemed to be something that needed to be clean.
One evening Jessica screamed in pain causing Caleb to panic. It was that ear-splattering scream alerting him that she was in labor. He hurried to her side and knew they wouldn’t make it to a hospital.
Caleb felt like time seem to fly right on by. His baby girls, Riley and Bailey, were already celebrating their first birthday. Tyler was also celebrating his birthday to become a child. Caleb started to realize how true the saying they grow up so fast was.
Caleb and Jessica were so busy with the twins that Tyler was left to entertain himself. Now what kid wouldn’t pass up the chance to jump on their parents bed while their parents attention was else where.
Caleb feeling as if he’d been neglecting his son took him out shopping. They bought new clothes for both Tyler and the girls, He listened to Tyler tell a story, and they played together before heading home.
Shane and Katy living back with their parents had some nice benefits and not so nice benefits. They had a butler who took care of all the house cleaning and cooking leaving them more time to spend with Issac. Shane had to constantly listen to his father lecture him on why having a job was so important.
Fed up with his father’s lectures Shane invited Caleb out to the new unemployment center that opened in Bluewater Village. There they each met with a representative who was able to find them an opening in their chosen career paths. They also found having a college degree in their chosen field really boosted the pay and starting positions.
With Shane and Katy excitedly awaiting the arrival of their second child they found having extra hands to be a blessing. Issac was always found in the hands of one grandparent or another.
To everyone’s surprise Katy’s second birth went quite smoothly, Nathan seemed to just pop right out.
Caitlynn knowing she wasn’t getting any younger still needed to make $50,000 to complete her lifetime aspiration of earning $100,000. Thinking of her grandchildren and wanting a place they’d enjoy visiting her at during hours she decided to open a toy store. She was sure it become a child’s paradise.
The grand-opening went extremely well and she just knew the store was a hit. Before she knew it, she had herself a level six business even the Tinker’s who owned a rival toy store came by to check it out.
To everyone’s dismay and excitement time once again seem to fly by as Issac and Nathan celebrated their birthday into their next stage of life.
Jordan suddenly found himself the owner of three adorable puppies. His parents dogs had given birth to a litter of puppies but with Shane and Katy moving in with their two sons his parents just couldn’t keep the puppies. They also didn’t have the heart to put them up for adoption. So they ended up with Jordan, but with his fiancé moving in with her kitten he began to wonder if her could afford four pets plus their wedding which was coming up. He started to regret buying the new tux he bought for his wedding.
Finally the day of his wedding had come, the whole family had showed up. His mom and Caitlynn had sat together, sharing tissues as they commented on the wedding.
All Jordan could think about was the woman standing in front of him and how pretty she looked in her gown. They said their vows and exchanged rings.
Their first kiss as husband and wife was shared in front of the family as congratulations were called out.
They cut the cake and Jordan shoved the slice into his wife’s mouth, making his parents laugh as they recalled their own wedding.
To end the party Jordan proposed a toast to his lovely new bride who knew she didn’t make the wrong choice in choosing him.
At the main house, winter was ending and spring arriving when tragedy strikes! Katy had gone for a swim, pulling a muscle and began to sink under water. Shane jumped in to save her only to land in the water wrong. Grim came and collected leaving their graves behind for the grieving family.
Luc and Malcolm didn’t know how to tell the boys so they left it to Caitlynn and Shannen who could do nothing but hug the boys. Especially, Nathan as he was so young and didn’t quite know what was going on.
For the family time went on and seasons came and went. Before they knew it Nathan’s birthday was here. The whole family was invited to celebrate.
With school starting up again Shannen took the boys shopping for some new school clothes (Issac in blue, Nathan in stripped).
Nathan wasn’t the only one celebrating a birthday. Their twin cousins Riley and Bailey who were the same age as Nathan also celebrated their birthday.
Not only was it the start of a new school year but their first day of school Jessica took the girls out shopping and even bought herself some new clothes. They had made a girls day out of it.
Jordan noticing how sick Suzie had been had made soup for lunch hoping she could handle it.
When they had discovered they were having a baby Jordan took no time in decorating the nursery with Suzie’s opinions. Jordan was so excited for their little one to be born that every day before heading to work he would find Suzie and talk to her belly.
Jordan had left for work and Suzie was home alone when she felt an extreme pain. She yelled at the top of her lungs and wanted to know how her sister-in-laws had gone through this twice. She wanted the baby out now and told herself she’d never go through this again.
