Do you miss the The Sims 2 site?

«1
I do since I used to get all the custom content when I was younger from there.
Like the "crazy-ish" type stuff I would use a lot and got them from the exchange. :/
Memories... Lol.

I know the game is considered "old" I guess since it's not being sold at stores anymore and all that but, don't you think they should bring it back for the simmers that still use Sims 2?

    Hi :)

Yes. I loved reading the stories on the site. It was just the best for stories. :)

I wished that they kept the story section open, or at least archived it somewhere. I wrote a pretty funny short story about Ms. Crumplebottom loosing a fight (that she started) with Chloe (the green alien with red hair from Strangetown), but it is lost because I didn't know how to save it to another location.

I never saw it because I didn't start playing Sims 2 until Sims 3 had already come out (I was ten in 2004). I wish it was still around.

Yea I used to read stories on there a lot too. There was so much fun stuff on that site... I miss it all.
By the way Kaye, you could go on YouTube and type "how to download custom content from The Sims 2 site" and you can get like an over view on how it looked if you wanted to see.
I would post a picture but I don't have the requirements yet. I didn't really understand how to "install" cc on there either until like the last 2 days of the site being up but I found clean installer and basically all the CC I did have from that site is gone now all because the computer fried inside with no fan working and let's just say it smelt like fire in my house until I threw that desktop away.
So I always thought you installed it by clicking download then click run, blah, blah, blah... Then wait it popped up a warning about something I forgot exactly what it said but it still worked I guess... lol

Omg I would walk to the library and read the stories for hours on there.... Loved the set up

I'm sad that they deleted the story exchange for Sims 2, and Sims 1 as well. I had some old, old, old stuff I uploaded and I would LOVE to see it again.

Yes :'( I really liked the format of that site, and the exchange was great. Also, I had a lot stories on there that I'd like to see again hahah

I miss it a lot as well. :disappointed: Not only was it a really good place for CC and houses but the stories were the best part! I remember this really long legacy story I had followed since it first started but then it had to stop since the website closed down. I think it'd be really cool if EA opened up a website for both TS1 and TS2.

Even though I played it alot, I never went through it's website because I was too young to care for it I guess, I would just play the game :p so I don't miss it :)

Only cared about the TS2 US exchange though.

Spent the TS2 era mostly on the Dutch site and now for TS4 I'm back on the US one - just like I did with TS1 era.

I miss TS2 exchange. Just like now, I love finding interesting sims from other players to add to my worlds. Wish EA would have kept an archive of the exchange though. I miss my own creations as well.

I liked the old forums and all the story tutorials it was easier to find them on the site than hunting it down over the web.

I really miss the simplicity that was the sims 1 forum, too.

Yeah. I still play Sims 2 a lot. They have a Sims 3 section on here. Being that it is The Sims . com, they should have a section for 1 &2 as well imo.

I miss the exchange so much. I remember my little newbie self downloading so much stuff from there, and I get what you mean about the crazy stuff. All types of monsters and cartoon characters as sims and in the same breath just normal everyday sims, houses galore, really unique stuff there. I loved it.
You open the closet, it's just a closet. You never find the monster that hides inside. Not until it jumps out at you.

I wasn't even aware there was a forum/site at the time. Every time I bought a new pack and it asked me to register I didn't know why and had been wondering that since TS1 days. I finally figured it out when TS3 came along. :p

    :+1: only because there's no " " button! :)

Thank you for that. I must go check it out. I just got my Sims2 Ultimate Collection (back in July 2014) and missed going to the Sims2.com website. :(

I was pretty young the first time I found out it existed. I don't remember much of it tbh, I just remember downloading mermaid tails. I have no idea how it worked and I don't know how I figured it out. :p There was sooo much cc though, I remember that!
