Notifications

My non-simming sisters were here, and after they left I was overwhelmed to find that I had 187 notifications. Took me a while to get through them all. Whew!

I don't look at my notifications. All they do is tell me when people have posted in the same thread as I have. Maybe there are settings, meh. IDC. I currently have 1,370 unread notifs.

I'm thinking the OP means mypage notes when online in TS3.

Actually, I was talking about the threads. I like to keep up with what happens in those threads. @Simasaurus09, If you have 300 posts on your MyPage, that's pretty good!

ohh :) Not really on my page per se but while logged in and playing the game you get a notice each time someone chats to you or your friends. Now that mypage is kind of dead it doesn't really happen as much.

Ah, I see. I never really log in because it doesn't work on my Mac.

You can change the notifications settings by going to account options at the top of the webpage. It has an option to disable those kinds of notifications specifically. If you've ever posted on a thread that winds up having thousands of other replies, it can be a nightmare. I was once getting at least fifty daily and disabling that really saved me some time. You can also keep it from sending you emails about it all. (Which is something I wish I knew how to do on Facebook. I get around seven hundred daily with that and I've just stopped checking my email).

I like to see them. You can glance down the page or pages and see which threads you need to check, or jump back in where you were before. I never enabled the emails on this site because I am on it so much, but find that useful on some other sites. Somehow my Facebook is set up where it doesn't flood my email more than anything else, but often I don't bother to check it for weeks.
