What does page up/page down mean?

I've read that the quick control to go up and down floors in your sims house is page up or page down. I know i sound like a total noob, but what is this??? I have no idea how to do this. I am on a mac btw

Most keyboards on PCs have keys that are labelled "Page Up" and "Page Down." Maybe they're differently named on a Mac, I dunno.

Erased everything I said before. Mac should be Fn+Up arrow and Fn+Down arrow for page up and page down.

Mine are pg up.
As they say, they literally scroll up or down a page, usually word documents. I think.

Sometimes on laptop keyboards they can be labeled "pg up," and, "pg dn." They are usually near or on the number pad to the right side of the keyboard. If you're using a PC, that is.

I have one of the larger Mac keyboards and page up and page down (along with other function keys are between my regular keyboard and the number pad.
