First off, @NagyGina and @WhimsicalWind, thank you for hosting this thread, an excellent way of encouraging the sharing of ideas and creativity :star:

What inspires your Creations? My friends uploading to the exchange, they give me loads of new concepts <3 especially @Ciane she has a lot of amazing ideas I wish I was good enough to steal I wish I could emulate o:)her studio Also @ajaxpost I really like the way he thinks outside the box his studio Last and most definitely least @Shannen :pher studio Who is very imaginative with her Sims and takes great pics of them :hushed: So many of my friends have shown me there is much more that I can do in the Sims! Instead of create the same house that looks like a box with windows over and over :s You guys are awesome :kissing_heart:

Just want to say Thank you to all simmers on the forums who have really expanded my very limited imagination! <3
 Ohh, you are too kind including me with those other great builders

There are so many wonderfully creative people in the Sims community, but I have tended to keep to the studios of friends in the DD and Store threads - otherwise I would spend all my time downloading and installing new lots from the Exchange and never get anything else done! :o

I would definitely agree with you about the quality of @ciane and @Shannen 's studios. And @anettesb is absolutely right there are so many amazing creations in the studios of @greencats, @Ruthless_kk and @Sandraelle

If I may add my thoughts on the creative and inspirational that I have found here ...

What are your favourite things to Create? 'Commercial' lots because I am rubbish at decorating houses and my Sims all look the same :(
What inspires your Creations? The encouragement and creativity of other Simmers shwing off what it is possible to do in this game. If I may highlight a few of those who have awed me with their creative skills (in no particular order at all): @Meg1626 (studio); @bouquetcatcher (studio); @glenkatko (studio); @DrewRavida (studio); @Wallin (studio) - all different but they exhibit a real understanding of how to make something beautifully 'real' and desirable and or something totally crazy, full of energy and imagination.
How can we offer our assistance in your creations? Mostly, just keep creating imaginative lots that show how Store content can be used in new and unexpected ways.
What are your favourite themes? I like to create 'real world' lots and, if I'm honest, anything that harks back to when I was young back in the 70s into the 80s - when 'modern' was new and exciting but, looking back at it now, was rather ugly; but there was still a lot of 'old' that hadn't yet been demolished or transformed into an edifice of steel and glass.
What are your favourite Colours? Nothing particularly, but I do have a fondness for darker, richer, and warmer colours.
What are your dislikes? Neon, bright and cold, pretending to be 'cool' and 'hip', but really just sad and desperate to be fashionable.
What are the things you most would like to bounce ideas off of? I love threads like these were ideas are just tossed into the hat and someone thinks "Yes! I can do that!" little sparks that can light dozens of creative fires.

    Creation Wishlist (Informal) Form:

    EPs: I have them all
SPs: I have them all (yes, even Sweet Treats! :hushed: )
EA Sims 3 Worlds: I have them all
EA Sims 3 Store Content: The Store is Owned! ;)
Origin Exclusives: I have some but would prefer them not to be integral to the build
Bundle Exclusives: I have some but would prefer them not to be integral to the build
Special Requests/Instructions: I would prefer no CAP, some CC is OK provided that it is identified and readily available for download from a trusted source such as ModtheSims or Around The Sims. No spawners please.

    Creation Wishlist Wants:
    1. I've said I am a bit rubbish at residential lots so would welcome any new smallish 'starter' homes to help populate my towns; homes suitable for a couple, perhaps just starting a family. So there will need to be two bedrooms and, because kids love pets, some open space to add a pet bed, bird cage or terrarium. Outside there should be space for a small veg and fruit garden and room for the family to play/relax outdoors. At the moment I am playing Hidden Springs so they should fit into that environment. The main rule, though, is that they will need to be reasonably affordable.
    2. I had an idea ages ago to create some sort of reclamation yard/stone masons - in Sims terms I guess this would be like a fancy junkyard but which also sold sculptures and other stone work. But I've never got round to it and am wondering if anyone has already created such a thing? This sort of place: Glastonbury Reclamation
    3. Kind of an extension of the reclamation yard - a second-hand furniture shop perhaps a bit like Bristol Reclamation
    4. Pubs! I love pubs; can you you recreate your "local" for The Sims 3? Personally I prefer older 'traditional' British pubs but my Sims like some different places so I would love to see where you like to socialise: A gastro pub? A local sports bar? A quirky craft beer pub? A family-friendly carvery pub? A comfortable hotel/lounge bar? Let's give all my Sims somewhere to spend time with their friends :)

    Hope that's OK Mya? :)

:) Thank you! Though, of course, as a true DD stalker you will wait to rush out and buy it only when it's on sale! ;)

If I may add some blatant self-promotion ... I am putting all the details and full-size pictures for my Studio builds into my own thread in the Creative Corner: Adrian's Commercial Creations ;)

@Alphafen well I find (when you figure it out) creating your own rabit holes like that is very easy (as decorating is minimum)
    happy my ideas helped

    @NagyGina remeber DNA isn't 1 studio... it is I think almost 20

    @Alphafen - Aw, thank you!

I LOVE making commercial lots using LL rabbit holes! Today I put a Riverview rabbit hole in a basement because a friend said she didn't have LL. Of course, she has LL now. ;) If you don't have LL, you really should.

I searched the net to try and find a good guide, but sometimes you don't get lucky. What I found said to have enough room for the stairs (duh!) and NOT to block any entrances. This is important as some rabbit holes like Business have a rear exit too. But I did find that no matter how big and tall the rabbit hole is... you can safely use moveobjects on to place it on a much smaller lot. Someone mentioned making the basement as wide as possible: that was helpful. What I found was that I could not place a rabbit hole in the basement of a pre-made building. When it placed, it stuck up into my building unstead of being an object that stayed in the basement.

So, build a basement and place the rabbit hole. Then put in the stairs. Then build your building.

Another thing I had wondered about was the stairs for city hall. I did not want sims going down into the basement and climbing up stairs to get into city hall. Fortunately, the building goes in at the right height without stairs when placed in the basement. TMI?

What a fun thread you have here. I will have to spend some more time here.

I apologize, just got back from a wonderful OE Outing and will be updating the Creations Wishlists (adding in just UWL tags - links to follow) through the night. I am extending the Wishlist Wipeout/Large Simpoint Item Prize entries until I am finished updating & tagging all active UWL actives for the dice roll.

Thank you to all who have posted Creative Wishlists and updated lists! :+1::+1::mrgreen: I shall be updating and acknowledging throughout the night as well!

    Big Pixel Hugs Everyone! <3

I have added and updated @ajaxpost & @anettesb 's Creative Wishlists. Thank you both! :D

@ajaxpost , Both @WhimsicalWind and I are most grateful to have discovered the DD Thread that you were hosting at the time, whereby I came out of my just lurking here, and even though I now have fulfilled my once thought "unachievable" quest to own the whole store, I still call the Current DD (Daily Deal) Rotation & Sales Help, now hosted by @Ximph , my home! Once a DD addict, always a DD addict, so yes, I will be rushing out to buy FL when it is on an awesome sale, haha! As for your Creation Wishlists, they are both more than okay, and I thank you for posting. :) I took a quick glance at your Showcase: Adrian's Commercial Creations, bookmarked, and will be returning often. :) If you update and need more room, you can put each in its own post, and just let me know, that way I can fix the links accordingly. ;)

Speaking of Showcases in the Creative Corner, I am thinking of also adding a showcase list too, because I think Rec'ing and Fav'ing are also excellent gifts of appreciation! Whatcha think?

@ciane , thank you for the useful tips on the Rabbit Holes. I did try to add in the buildings beneath (building my basement after) and I quite simply failed. Now I finally know why. ;) And I thank you too for stopping by and do hope you will join in on more of the fun!

While this thread is a bit more challenging than I had anticipated, I am having so much fun learning as I go, and I appreciate everyone's feedback! :+1::+1:

Now, I am off to tag UWL actives!

For me, it didn't work right. At first, it wouldn't place where I wanted it with the front close to the stairs. Then when I made the basement much bigger, covering most of the offered space, it did plop down (again, where it wanted to be, not where I had intended). Unfortunately, it then still showed through to the level above so I had the EA building sticking out the sides, front, back, and top of my build.

It might be related to the problem of adding basements to homes on foundations (even though I had no foundation).

Maybe your experiences will be different from mine, but I had no problem placing the rabbit hole when I started from scratch on a lot with just a basement added. The building did like to adjust its placement a tad after I added the stairs and went to the upper level and returned to the basement level. I don't think it liked the exact spot I placed it and did what counters will do like a snapping to grid action. I moved the building back where I had it to add the stairs and it snapped back after going up a level and then returning back down.

As I said, I didn't find a great tutorial to share and search wasn't limiting things well for me, so I read a few helpful hints and and then just went off to do it. Trial and error really is a good way to learn something, but having a helpful community if you run into a problem is awesome.

Good luck with your DNA build, @anettesb!

    Creation Wishlist (Informal) Form:
    • EPs: All
    • SPs: All BUT Katy Perry Sweet Treats
    • EA Sims 3 Worlds: All ; )
    • EA Sims 3 Store Content: Most of it
    • Origin Exclusives: I have the things that came with LEs and I did buy ITF from them as I wanted that dark industrial set.
    • Bundle Exclusives: I have a few that I do really like... the big Wicca bed, some chairs, a medieval low table...
    • Special Requests/Instructions: I love simple starting out stories.
    • Creation Wishlist Wants: (please try to number them)
    1. a simple story (Example: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/718087/the-tale-of-the-golden-tickets or https://iamciane.wordpress.com/)
    2. a small starter house (http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8514240)

Concept & Ideas Wishlist (for those who prefer to make all their own creations):
    • What are your favorite things to Create? stories & small homes
    • What inspires your Creations? (i.e. Pictures, Books, Magazines, Graphic Novels, Television Shows, Movies, Anime, Manga, Real Life, Fantasy, etc.) Pictures of house plans mostly
    • How can we offer our assistance in your creations? (i.e. Posting pics; answering questions related to a particular topic, place, time period, etc.; Videos; etc.) Challenge me to attempt something I haven't done, but would like to!
    • What are your favorite themes? I tend towards modern, minimal, artistic appeal & balance
    • What are your favorite Colors? I tend to like the cool color palette of blue greens and green blues with maybe some violet blues too. I also like warm palettes of yellows, oranges, and reds sometimes. (Think of an autumn nature setting with leaves turning color and how breath-taking that can be in the hills and mountains.)
    • What are your dislikes? I really don't care for homes or wardrobes with lots of different styles and colors. I like things to have a unity in colors, styles, shapes, patterns. A bit of contrast is good, even great; but too much diversity is unsettling, rather than calming. I like calm. ; )
    • What are the things you most would like to bounce ideas off of? (please try to number these)
    1. I love to find pictures of homes and floor plans to sim (Like the 50s home that reminds you of your grandfather's house. That I want to sim!)
    2. TnT_Terry has hosted some Around the World contests that challenge all to learn about a culture and find something to inspire us to build as well as share what we learned. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/669342/around-the-world-to-simbai-now-with-more-pics and http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/754677.page

    • Special Requests/Instructions: Detail! Clutter, deco, realisticness! And lushious gardens. Small lots. CAW lots are liked here very much.

    #2 Store item based lots
    #3 Shops, combined or alone
#4 Lots that fit to Finland! I can give a lot of hints and links if someone's interested in this
#5 Finnish family (I'd like to see how people see us and what names will they give ;D)
#6 Lots that fit to Ireland or Scotland
    #7 Mediterranean lots
#8 Anything real life based, lots or sims
#9 Beautifull sims with personality to replace the dough-faced NPCs
    #10 Medieval or Renaissance lots
#11 Stables, old and new, especially those that fit my Finland
#12 Sea side lots around the world
    #13 Steampunk lots!
#14 Katy Perry Sweet Treats stuff using lots, but not so weird and clumsy as the lots that came with it...
#15 Everything to fit Roaring Heights or 20's

    Concept & Ideas Wishlist
    • What are your favorite things to Create? Tiny lots, huge community lots (that never gets finished for being too big...)
    • What inspires your Creations? Pictures, themes
    • How can we offer our assistance in your creations? Giving time period or region, pics
    • What are your favorite themes? Rural, shabby chic, victorian, medieval, artistic, fantasy, gardens
    • What are your favorite Colors? Green! Everything green!
    • What are your dislikes? Modern I'd say, but I have started to like it because of others Sims creations... But not in real life, yet ;) Boring and unCASted things, too much space with no use (-> EA houses xP) Dough-faced sims. Maybe werewolves and ghosts and certainly zombies.
    • What are the things you most would like to bounce ideas off of? I have already a huge list of lots to build, some in a horry and some I found to be wanted here aswell so they'll be built, but giving me more ideas is always nice. This is giving me quite a stress though, but I'll manage ;) I like challengeces.
#1 Make me built something modern or ultramodern
    #2 Lots around the world
#3 Sims with a story or to fit your story. My sims tend to be more or less like each other...
#4 Any community lot, especially small

Because OE work is getting pretty intense at this time, and as of now, I am unable to finish the UWLs as I had planned (I need a few extra days), instead of 1 Wishlist Wipeout (Up to 3525sp) or a large simpoint item (i.e. Gold World), I will Roll the dice for 2 Winners  on Sunday, May 24th (I will accept all Creation Wishlists up until 8pm CST). :)

    Eligibility is as follows:
    • Posted 1 or more Creation Wishlist/s (If your Creation Wishlist is already posted in another thread, bring that to my attention with a link here, my wall or you can PM me)
    • Have a :star:SCSWL:star: (Squeaky Clean Store Wishlist) on the Sims 3 Site (Follow @anettesb 's definition, found on the first page of her Squeaky Clean Nomination Game)
    • If you have :grey_question:CSWL (Questionable Clean Store Wishlist) - that means you have CYS sets (which is completely okay if you do not own any of the items from the set) - if you do own any of the set's items, please just put enough more items to get ya the green button), or if you have too many items listed for a set that has CYS (It's okay if you do not know how to do the math, I will help you whittle it down until the green button appears ), lastly, if you have any sale items, just know that it is okay that they are listed, but I am unable to gift (EA doesn't allow it :/ ).
You are ineligible for a Wishlist Wipeout or Large Simpoint Item if:
    • Have :mrgreen:NSWL:mrgreen: (No Store Wishlist, because you own the whole store - Yayyy! ) or :open_mouth:NSWL:open_mouth: (No Wishlist, because someone already wiped it out or you haven't created one).
    • Have :warning:MSWL (Warning - Messy Store Wishlist) - If you have overlapping or duplicated items/sets/compilations/worlds, I would rather save us both simpoints to be able to gift more than to double purchase.

I will also be rolling the dice twice for all the :mrgreen:NSWL:mrgreen: & :open_mouth:NSWL:open_mouth: - if you would like any badges, wallpapers, etc. (up to 500sp) and you will be able to pick 2 people to gift a small item/s (up to 100sp/person) in your honor.

Note: Please let me know if your status has changed on owning the whole store or if I have inadvertently noted you as such (I am absent minded, yet I do so love seeing all the shiny :mrgreen:NSWL:mrgreen: ). :D And let me know before 8pm CST on May 24th if you have cleaned your Sims 3 Store Wishlist or have added items and I have you listed as not having one.

    Big Pixel Hugs Everyone! <3

Edited to add: For the Wishlist Wipeout/Large Simpoint Item: Because anyone's wishlist status can change from clean<--->messy, I shall roll the dice for all that have a Store Wishlist. If it is messy, I will just move on & reroll.

I apologize for my absence, but have not forgotten about all you wonderful people of the Sims 3 Community! <3 I have been updating the UWLs and have updated all the Creation Wishlists, up to, and including @Silvakristiina.

Thank you @ciane and @Silvakristiina for posting Creative Wishlists. @ciane, I love your wish for simple stories, most of my writing works were inspired by Sims 2 and Sims 3 stories (spending countless hours reading blogs), as well as attempting my own blog (never published), which gave me the premise for my current novels. @Silvakristiina , I love the interior styles that I found in your links - ranging from rustic to elegant (yet not too posh), and this is how I wish to design the cabin (IRL) that I am building currently. :)

I also would like to thank everyone for their feedback, and I because of that, I am chopping off the "*...Too...much...reading...Too...much...info...*" (thank you for pointing that out @Silvakristiina ) little by little. And I changed the name of the game, trying not to break the thread (thank you for pointing that out @ciane ). And I also truly appreciate those of you who have been advertising the game ( @ciane , @anettesb , @Aaronsims , and everyone else that my absentmindedness has missed). :)

I have begun to add in the UWLs, and I do realize that most of these lists are not updated, but I do believe that most of them will appreciate creation gifts from all of you artists of Sims Academy of Architecture and Fashion! ;)

Please keep the Creation Wishlists coming! :D

    Now, back to updating UWLs...

    Big Pixel Hugs Everyone! <3

for me a wish list with sets can be Squeaky Clean, it olny comes down to if there is doubles.

also if you are to gift all items so they can downloade the set for free, it will most times be cheaper to just gift the sets - exseptions if you yourself use DD or sale to by, but thats only when you buy for your self. or if some single items have been permantly lowered in prize (and the set havn't).... or if the person your are gifting own some single items then filling up with more single items.

I apologize @anettesb and thank you for pointing that out. :) I edited that for clarity, a :grey_question:CSWL is eligible for a Wishlist Wipeout, but I want to be certain that the gifts are not duplicated (unless doing the math, I discover that purchasing the set is still cheaper, even with a duplicate). I love doing math! :) I also added in that sale items cannot be gifted. Wasn't there a time where we could gift sale items?

[*] If you have :grey_question:CSWL (Questionable Clean Store Wishlist) - that means you have sets (please just put enough items from the sets to get ya the green button) that have CYS or have too many items listed for a set that has CYS (It's okay if you do not know how to do the math, I will help you whittle it down until the green button appears.

    I don't understand you here...

for me a wish list with sets can be Squeaky Clean, it olny comes down to if there is doubles.

also if you are to gift all items so they can downloade the set for free, it will most times be cheaper to just gift the sets - exseptions if you yourself use DD or sale to by, but thats only when you buy for your self. or if some single items have been permantly lowered in prize (and the set havn't).... or if the person your are gifting own some single items then filling up with more single items.
Wasn't there a time where we could gift sale items?
yes at some point you could gift both sall AND DD... awsome times... loved doing wish lists hunts for DD wishes.

I still wouldn't call it Questionable, it is just as claen (at least by my definition)... but ok you do it. ... only question is the honor question "do you own items from the set" but in reality a list isn't clean if you have a set on the list and own even 1 item from the set...

yea doing the math in each case to get the most for the points will be smart... and likely fun.

@anettesb , I know that I encountered so many in a row in the gifting threads that were asking for any items from sets they had on their wishlist, yet their wishlists had no items for the particular sets, but just the sets. I would rather wipe someone out giving them more, instead of giving EA more. Another thing that bothers me is the noncys sets that are part of cys compilations. I am not complaining for people having those in their wishlist, but EA certainly stands to gain more $$ by those who are unaware. And the cys sets that are in a noncys compilations; if one is cys, they all should be, in my opinion. ;) Actually, at this point, all sets should be cys enabled. @WhimsicalWind and I were promised that they would all become cys enabled within a few days, and that was back in December. :/

all schould be CYS by now... 100% agree... even worlds (thinking godl worlds) so the store see we own it
who promised that about CYS? do you have it in writting? I seem to recall a promis that they all would at some point... now would be a great point

asking for an item from a set on your wish list, to be honest, thats why I don't want to host normal competitions any more.... I don't want to gift that way givign EA more than need be.
also does that ask like that... with a decivingly/hidden messy wish list... I don't gift any more...
if they want to have a messy wish list, thats their problem, but don't decive the gifters.

defently make sure they don't own single items from the set on their list, before you gift the set.... and do the math... som single items now go for half the prize and the set is still normal... so you can get the set cheaper that way (I think) but mostly a set is just about 20-30% cheaper to by than buying all the singles.

@anettesb , Both @Whimsical and I actually do have that in writing from CS live chats. We both not only relied on EA's savings of chats, but also saved all the EA live chats ourselves. If you get disconnected from live chat, unless you save the chat, it does not show up in your claims' list (but EA does have all those records too. But I checked my claims a few weeks ago, and I think the one occasion still is on there for my live chat.

hmm what out trying to build Dragsholm castle... http://www.dragsholm-slot.dk/
it is a danish caslte supose to be hounted by a white lady http://historienet.dk/anders-houmoller-thomsen-og-jeppe-nybye/den-hvide-dame-opsoger-maend-0

During a renovation in 1910 showed a skeleton into a walled-up niche in the 800 year old Dragsholm Castle. In an uncanny way suited found with the story of adelsfrøkenen Celestine Mariann de Bayonne Guildenstern, who disappeared at the castle around 1550th

Her father had chosen a nobleman to the beautiful girl. But when Celestine was deeply in love with a groom, who even made her pregnant, the father furious. He would banish his daughter to Schleswig so that she could give birth "🐸🐸🐸🐸 cub" there. Just before departure, she was, however, stunned and wearing her white dress immured in a room where she could just stand upright.

When the palace was to be renovated, appeared Celestines skeleton up.

The castle's inhabitants could hear her moaning and scratching on the wall, but no one had to respond. Today Celestine known as the White Lady, and she said especially to show interest in sleeping men.
Dragsholm Castle is Celestines remains for contemplation in a glass case.
