Buying groceries and clothing

I'm wondering if anyone who played The Sims 2 liked having to buy groceries and clothing instead of unlimited food and every outfit in the game and want it in The Sims 4? I play The Sims 2 and I like having to buy clothes and groceries because it's realistic. I think that feature should be in a life simulator such as The Sims 4 since it's based on real life and we can't get unlimited food (as much as I would like!) What do you think?

I was just saying to friends the other day that I miss being able to purchase groceries. A grocery store would be an awesome addition to the game. If we didn't get one, something as simple as ordering groceries (like we did in Sims 2) would be awesome!

I do love gardening and baking but I too would like to go out and but ingredients to make my food. Not contents magically showing up in my fridge.

Already have retail store features from GTW EP. Why dont you build a grocery and let other NPC Sims handle it? Now its a grocery. You can sell almost anything, right? Harvest, fishing, gardening.. and sell them in the store.
