In order to post pictures to this forum, you must be a member. To become a member you need to have 25 points, 15 posts, and an account older than 24 hours. Now that you're a member, you can post photos to this forum.
Posting images to this forum isn't as simple as simply uploading a photo to the forum.
In fact, no such feature exists.
Well then how do I post a picture to this forum then?
Well my friend, that requires an image hosting website.
What image hosting website do you suggest?
I actually use two main websites for hosting images.
Imgur
Update: Flickr is now limiting free accounts to 1,000 photos, otherwise you'll have to pay up to have more than that.
Update 2: Tiny pic was shut down.
Can you show us how to use the website you listed?
Certainly.
Imgur
When I first found out about imgur, I was very frustrated. When I was posting the image codes, they wouldn't load the picture. Instead they would post a block of text. Well, there's a reason for that, and I'm going to show you that reason. Once again, you don't have to have an account for imgur, but again, I highly recommend it.
Step 1:
Uploading
In order to upload to Imgur, you need to hit the
NEW POST button.

Now, at this point I figured that all I had to do was hit the copy button on the side, and put in the image codes.

Well let's see what happens when I do that.

As you can see, the image never loads and instead appears as a block of text.
So why does this happen?
The reason that this happens is because there's no file extension at the end of the link.
Example:
.png, .jpg
This means that the picture will never load, because the link is broken.
Step 2: Getting a working link part 1
In order to get a working link you need to
hover over the image.
DON'T click the copy button! That's where I was messing up.
Instead you need to click the
... button.
Step 3: Getting a working link part 2
Now that you've clicked the ... button, you need to hit the
GET SHARE LINKS button.
Step 4: Getting a working link part 3
Now that you've clicked the get share links button, you need to copy the
BB CODE link.

Finally, you can post your image.
Personally I think all these extra buttons you have to click are unnecessary.

Here's another one for Photobucket: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/12602010/#Comment_12602010
I don't think I've seen anyone do one for Imgur yet, but that would be good to add too.
Step 1: Find your image
Step 2: Click upload images
Step 3: Click browse your computer
Step 4: Click on your image
Step 5: Again here is where you can copy+paste the bbcode image
or the direct link and put [*IMG]urlgoeshere[/*IMG] Remove the * of course.
Step 6: Hit post and you're done!
Thankyou very much for this helpful tutorial
I have added a link to it on the "Helpful links for Play and Creating in Sims 4 " thread.

I have one quick tip to add: Before you post your comment, you can preview it to see if the pic will show up. And if it works right you'll be able to see it.
"waiting to be aproved" messege about your post... as then the post is in limbo and don't get aproved.. so you have to post again.
@rockinsimmer love your avi
Yeah, I was confused because usually you just upload the image, but this was a new way for me. Again, thank you.
it's saying my body is 5 characters too short so I don't know if this is going to work

You just press ctrl+shift+4 (or any hotkey you choose) and get a crosshair to crop the part of the screen you want. It uploads and copies the link to the clipboard automatically (direct link, no img tags), then I press this button and paste in the link (ctrl+v) for the image tags:
You can also upload multiple files simultaneously (upload from clipboard), though you do have to rename them first because it doesn't seem to like the Sims 4 screenshot naming process. Also, upload current window, upload desktop etc.
I can't do it because the stupid certification thingy, keeps popping up, and I don't know what to type
Hello @cupcake12 .
This link shows you where the image codes are in photobucket. You first need to upload your pictures to the site.
http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/12602010/#Comment_12602010
The picture button is the button with the little file picture on it above the forum post. You need to upload your image to a photo sharing site such as photobucket, then get the image code, press the picture button above your post , paste the code into the box, then press the post button. Then the image code will be in your post ready to be appear when posting your text post,
