Has This Happened To You?

Several times a day, when I am watching the Sim Point ads, my browser will get redirected to a new site instead of getting the message. I swear that I haven't hit any buttons, even accidently - in fact, it will happen even if my hands aren't touching the keyboard. The site is something about Ripp.ly? There is no back button to get back to the Store, either. Is it a virus or a bit of malware? (I do have one piece of malware that I can't get rid of, it is Adware-BProtect. Even my antivirus can't delete the plum thing.) Or does it happen to other people too?

Just curious.

Redirects are not usually a good thing. I would download Malwarebytes Anti Malware, the free version and run it.

    https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/

Note: This detects spyware and malware and works "in addition to" an antivirus. You can and should have both on your computer.

I agree, I do not like being taken to a website I know nothing about. I don't think we should be redirected from the Sims 3 site without our express permission. I don't click on the ads any more for that reason.

Agrees B) you should not be redirected anywhere,or have pop-unders keep an eye out for those. This man speaks the truth and Malwarebytes is great and free even when the trial expires it still functions. :)
