I had no idea the kids could sleep in the tent together! Luella and Luca are twins. One of their dogs, Tessa, is sleeping nearby.
Toddlers can also sleep in tents, and they find that much more restful than sleeping in the horrid toddler beds. (They gain energy at twice the rate sleeping in a tent, compared to a toddler bed.) This can come in very handy if you want more active time with your toddler to max out all their skills before they age up, especially if you're playing with default life stage length settings.
Absolute game changer! I might start playing with toddlers again!
I remember seeing that out a few years ago while watching Dan and Phil (the YouTubers if anyone's unaware) play the game, and it unsettled them lol. I'd forgot about that.
It's not interesting but I personally discovered recently that pianos can have things placed on them like they're a shelf, which I was far too excited about. I feel like I learn something new about the game every time I play because I'm still very new to it all.

I'll usually place the styled room and delete what I don't want.
@simgirl1010 This is an awesome tip! I hardly ever use rooms in build mode, but now I see they're more versatile than I thought. A good place to find items from one particular pack too. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Discovered that one a good while back, so incredibly useful. One of those 'I thought everyone but me knows this' things. An interesting variation is taking things from different rooms, even those of different types, to create a custom room. Much easier and faster to go to the styled rooms for ideas and items than prowling through the catalogue.
Realized a couple of days ago that the cover of the 'Archaeology' books looks like that of 'National Geographic'. This after having sims read that one for all these years since that pack's release.

I use this feature all the time. Prebuilt rooms rarely have the right shape or size but by selecting the items individually, it is easy to create a room with the same style and furniture.
I literally just found out that if you have Snowy Escape, you can either use a base game shoe rack or a sign from Snowy Escape to make it so that your sims take their shoes off indoors …

Yeah, but then there's that horrific animation every single time they go in and out of the house... unless you mod it out.
Those grey boxes that sometimes have posters to snatch can break. A couple of days ago my sim was poster snatching but had to wait for one of them. There was a repairman by the grey box, screwdriver in one hand, circuit board in the other doing a repair. Once the repair was complete and he left, the poster could be taken. This is the first time I've seen this happen in all the years since City Living came out.
If you're playing the 100 baby challenge instead of breaking up and having a bunch of men mad at you for breaking up or cheating. Ask to just be friends, their romance goes all the way down but the friendship stays the same. And there is no anger or cheating issues. Also a little tip that I find helpful. I name all my babies by the last name of the father. for example if dad is John Smith Then I name the babies with the first letter of the last name, Susan, Steve, etc. When going over names so you don't use the same one you can just go to that letter. It makes it a lot easier to find what your looking for.
This is not exactly gameplay, but I had a Last Exception trigger whilst controlling my family’s infant. (The exception wasn’t anything major thankfully). When you check the report in the MCCC folder, it lists the traits of the Sim you were playing as when the exception triggered. Amongst these traits were three infant quirks, only one of which I knew about (Gassy). Turned out he was due to develop Messy Eater and Loves Sounds (which was listed as Obsessed with Sound). He did subsequently develop those quirks.
Not sure if it was shared but if you have a spellcaster sim with the "Repario" spell they can increase the quality of craftables - like books and paintings!

Oh wow, I've never paid any attention to that.
Time to start interacting with the stuffed toys!

This is something I knew but totally forgot about.
