Delivery glitch?

Is it normal for the father sim to run around the hospital with his arms in the air as he goes to play on a computer instead of going with his wife? And is it normal for the woman to switch into her normal clothes after delivery only to switch back into the hospital gown before going home? My moms keep coming home wearing the medical gowns!
