Cache files/game folder

I just got Sims 4 last night (digital download). After years of Sims 3, I'm so used to clearing my cache files, and using "save as" to create a new game file to reduce the risk of file corruption, then deleting the old file. Is this also necessary in TS4, and if so, which files do we delete? Also, when I looked in "Saves" in the file folder, I couldn't find anything with the name of my saved game. If I create a new file, where does the old save go?

I definitely recommend using Save As, but you do not need to create new Saves. I always Save As the same name. Also, there is no need to delete older files.

Thank you! You mean I can actually just play? I'm liking this better already. :)

Yes. Just create one save using Save As and always save using Save As. It's safer. But you can always overwrite it. Mine is called Main Save 01. I just have that one, unless I create a Try save to experiment.
