Everytime I update the game, I have to uninstall and reinstall because I just get codes on the new item, not understanding the codes, I have no idea what they refer to. Is this general or just me?

I had weird numbers instead of words, but when I reinstalled the game, it worked.

I have this but if i uninstall won't i lose my families?

I didn't lose anything when I uninstalled mine, I still had my saves and everything. But just to make sure you don't, up load them to the gallery and then you definitely wont lose the family you created, just your save.

Along with your save folder you have to save your tray folder to another location before you uninstall. Your library on the gallery consists of what is in your tray folder. If you delete your tray folder you lose your library.
