Hello fellow Simmers! I haven't been very involved yet in the Sims 4 community and forums - not much time with a toddler in the house, plus I'm still fond of TS3! However, I did get 4 a while ago and am enjoying it! I finally decided to try building. I'm finding it both better and worse, easier and harder than 3. I miss CASt, but at the same time the game loads and plays SO much better and I find I actually play more since I'm not so obsessed with all the CASt details. I DO wish there were more color options, or at least more matching/coordinating options between objects. I also wish there were more wall and flooring options. But, I suppose that will all come in time. It's very hard to be stuck with a base game again as a builder!

So, here is my TS4 Studio thread. I may or may not update my TS3 thread at some point; I may even continue to build and share for 3. Hope you all enjoy my builds and find them useful and fun in your own game!

Based on a Donald A. Gardner design, The Tipperary, here is my version! Find it in the gallery in game by its name or my name or #bouquet. Or web-based gallery here.
This beautiful home is part vintage, part modern with a bit of eclectic thrown in. This is a 3 bed, 2 1/2 bath family home with lots of extras. Gourmet kitchen, pantry, formal dining, study/library, formal living, master bedroom with walk-in closets and ensuite bath, 2 bedrooms with shared bath (split for privacy), and large bonus room. There is also a mud room, laundry room and garage which in base game are relatively useless but hopefully will find use in future expansions! For now, the garage could be a workshop or anything else you desire. Outside is a large deck, playground and garden space (unplanted), and plenty of room for a pool. When basements are available expansion is easy - just remove one staircase and replace it with one to the basement.

It's great to see a builder that doesn't overuse CC or MOO.

Presenting The Moderne Bold, a clean white modern home with a boldly decorated interior.
On the first floor enjoy spacious, open-plan living. The front music room provides a relaxing place to sit and chat or listen to some blues. From there, enter the kitchen, living or dining rooms. The hip, gourmet kitchen looking out on a gorgeous pool area. The large living room boasts a big-screen tv and separate tv and conversation seating, along with a fireplace and chess, and also looks out over the pool and patio. The dining room seats 6 and serves juice of your choice. Also on the first floor find a half bath, study and bonus room (decorated as an art studio).
Upstairs, the master suite includes a large walk-in closet and a stunning master bath. Both of the other bedrooms also have walk-ins and are large and spacious, sharing a large bath. All rooms have hall access to the upper deck overlooking the pool, patio and yard.
Outside is a small playground and a garden area. The star of the show, however, is the patio and pool. Relax poolside or enjoy an outdoor meal in the covered pavilion. Swim a few laps or go for a workout.
Landscaping is clean, simple and modern. This home has curb appeal to spare!
CC-free, with some MOO use (turn on bb.moveobjects on before placing on your lot from build mode).

My entry for Build-n-Share #15. "Ms. Bloodclaw gave us quite the challenge, but we were up to it! With just four large shipping containers we've created a stylish, modern, beautiful modular home - that you would never know is modular! The Eco Modern is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom affordable home for a single Sim or small family just starting out. Large open concept living/dining kitchen is ideal for entertaining. Bold colors and clean lines define the home while a touch of zen makes it a tranquil place to relax and live your life. The outdoors landscaping is clean and open, allowing for outdoor activities and beautiful views."

Built for BuildnShare challenge #16, this is a lovely 2 bed, 2 bath cottage in which Henry and Evie can start afresh after losing their parents. So much country charm is built into this English-style cottage. Architectural details abound! Money is tight for these sibs after losing their parents, but we've made it go far. Furnishings are simple and minimalistic but beautifully done. There is plenty of room to expand and add their own personal things, but Henry and Evie will love the design, color and touches of hominess. Henry's workshop is currently a simple, small room off his bedroom - but he could easily build a shop out back someday, or dig a basement or even add on to the house! They could even use that workspace to add another bath upstairs for Evie as she gets older. They'll have lots of room for upgrades in the years to come.
(I do plan to do an "upgraded" version of this build very soon - so many things I wanted to do but couldn't due to budget!)
I also really love the last one, it's really beautifully made. It also keeps that homey feel.
