Going to Granite Falls was an awesome idea. Especially when she caught two sturgeon worth over 1k each and other rare fish besides. Definitely going to go do that again. Oh yes and she learned the herbal recipe from the hermit just before she returned home. I wanted to get back to buy things for the week.
I learned the hard way that it is best to gain a few levels in the fishing skill BEFORE going to Granite Falls.
Sally Mae (from my test run of this challenge) had Zero fishing skill when I took her there. She did not have much luck getting many fish there. She was more of a creative/muser Sim so that was how she earned the bulk of her Simoleons.
Progress at end of week 14
Olie kicked it up a notch and converted from Culinary to the Creative Aspirations/Careers.
That gave him the boost he needed to get closer to the 500K goal.
Olie Sirat started his journey Here: Rosebud 500K Solitaire by EuphorialQueen
Having achieved the 500K Simoleon goal with a single Sim he moved steadily forward until .....
Olie Sirat is still single and with the help of nine Youth Potions gained One Million Simoleons in 19 Sim Weeks!
Go To Work Expansion Pack installed. (RETAIL BUSINESS BOUGHT)
Note: It would seem as if the worth of the business is not included in the Rosebud achievement. I did not transfer the funds from the business back to the home. Next week if there is any business gain. I will try to do that before the week is up.
(Note the minimal gain between week 7 and 8)
I did it! It was a long hard road but I have fulfilled by contractual obligations. Now what will I do? I don't know but keep you eyes peeled, you'll see me sooner than later.
I thought I had posted here already. Thanks EQ! It was a ton of fun!
Yes, I have noticed for any gain in Rosebud or aspirations (like Fabulously Wealthy), you must transfer funds from your retail account into your household one for it to take effect. Good luck!
I am so excited about the retail portion of this expansion pack! <3 -----------------------

She did it.....Once she made the 500K I allowed myself to go into build/buy whenever I wanted. Does that count for the original Rosebud challenge??
