Aw Bob you give me too much credit, but thank you. I'm glad I inspire you. Also glad to hear you're back and you're able to play again. YAY! But I agree with Ollie. You're an amazing editor and sim maker, which makes you amazing amongst the talented people here.

Awesome edits every-one! whew I haven't really done anything since august, so here's a little something I done today for face-off... not major but at least I remembered how to do all the wee adjusment bits. I gotta say I was so relaxed and in the zone doing this.

So for shadows, I normally paint black on a separate layer with a fuzzy brush, do gaussian blur, then set the layer to either Overlay or Soft Light (it really depends on the program you're using and how you want the picture to look.) Overlay tends to make Sims a bit too orange, so I normally attack the original picture with the sponge tool or duplicate the shadows and set the mode to Normal at like 5-10% and place it under the shadow layers. I'll also play around with the opacity and add more shadow layers depending on how dark/light I want them. Except, I tend to get lazy after like 3 layers so I normally end up using the dodge/burn tools afterwards on the original picture.
Yeah... It sounds complicated but it really isn't Hope this helped!
P.S: The most important part is actually knowing where the shadows go though, so make sure you know where the light source is coming from!
@LilacErin Thanks! Sometimes I use some random Topaz filters and I draw some freckles on the skin But the skin from my last editing is very nice from himself. (Its the skin from Kurasobarina. The primer.)
