I'm a relic of EA UK Community Forums making a return after a long break from the forum environment.
I was an active member of the EA UK forums and used to moderate there during The Sims 2 release and the early parts of The Sims 3. Hoping the admins will alter my username for me which reverted back to an older version for some reason when we were all moved over way-back-when.
I will hopefully be Ayeffen going forward!
I've been playing The Sims right from around the time was 11 or 12 - I joined The Sims 2 UK forums back in 2008 where I grew to have a great group of friends many of whom I still see from time to time and chat with regularly. (Talking to two right now actually).
Hoping to reach out here, share my experiences, have a chat and hopefully make some new friends along the way.
Looking forward to getting to know you all
Ps. When do I get to have an avatar and signature? I feel naked to be quite honest with you...

Hi @rosemow - thanks very much for the warm welcome and the pointers.
I noticed your messages to others regarding the usernames so I have left a note for EA_Mai, hopefully they will get round to it soon.
I must say you do a fantastic job of saying hi to everyone here.

Welcome @Maus652 - do I know you from someplace?

I'm an EA veteran. I was on the original sims forum during the 2000s, before the big EA merge and eventual move to here, I guess.
I've been feeling nostalgic and thought I'd have a look around
I go by Maus, Mausi or other nicknames derived thereof. It's pronounced "Mouse" and is German for mouse - I'm part German and it's common for us Germanic kiddies to be nicknamed Maus growing up so that's why I chose the username all those many years ago.
What else, what else...?
I've played the Sims since the first base game in the 90s. I stopped around The Sims 3 cause of uni and other games taking over my life.
I still dip into TS1 and TS2 and TS:Medieval every so often. I also played Spore for a bit but I tend to get bored of that one at a certain point.
I still identify as a gamer, but it's very much a "when I have time emotionally or physically" gamer these days. Work commitments can take their toll, ya know. Also there is a heck of a lot of tv streaming services these days and so many shows I "have" to watch that take up my time! And books!

I'd give her a wide berth if I were you @rosemow

Hello @Maus652 It is nice to meet you. Welcome to these forums!
It is nice to read about the background details of your username.
It is great that you have been simming since the original Sims 1. You would have been enjoying spending many happy and fun hours over the time, playing, creating and building!
I hope you will enjoy reading the forum threads, meeting fellow simmers and posting on the threads.

Hello Rosey, you know how much I love seeing your comments on the gallery, they are always so thoughtful and detailed. I started playing The Sims 2 many moons ago, played The Sims 3 for quite some time and then stopped. A few months back I returned to the game and am Loving The Sims 4 and all the changes. I like creating nocc art like you. I get a kick when someone uses it in a build and I get to see what they created. I smile every time I see a build with my art. Now I'm also creating custom content and posting it to my website. At the moment, I am enjoying the creator role more so than the game playing role but I'll be back to playing the actual game....I always go back to that. At any rate, thanks for all the kindness you have shown me on the gallery and keep creating your beautiful artwork!

Hello everyone! I'm Janelle or JanelleSimmer (on twitch and youtube). I wanted to become a part of the online community so I can discuss sims related things with people that also like sims! I also have a youtube channel, twitch channel and twitter (@janelleoooooo) where I post regularly! I'm hoping to make new friends and join the sims family! + I also am hoping to gain more knowledge about streaming and filming videos! I'd love suggestions on how to better my channel so people actually like it! thanks
