    System restore: Sims 3 games unable to open...

    I had the Adware virus on my computer. Did a system restore to 2/4/2015, reinstalled Sunlit Tides for games I had been playing up to 2/15/2015; these games are still unplayable, even though all EPs and SPs are installed. Do I need to re-install these for my recent games to be playable again? Or, is there something else I'm missing...?

    Edit: Also, updated game drivers, and said games are still greyed out/unplayable in game cue.

      System Restore only preserves the Windows state. It won't make backups of program files like your Sims 3 installation. You'll also want to be on the lookout for any other software applications other non-Windows programs that you might have updated prior to using System Restore as System Restore wipes out the Registry data.
