The pink, white and grey colour scheme of Teen Girl’s Bedroom is very pretty! @Broncos4life :) Very nice layout and furnishing of the bedroom! The pink vintage patterned wallpaper looks very nice. Very nice bed sleeping nook! The string of white lights, natural hearts, and pink flowers wall pictures are very pretty! The white trees print complements with it well. The pink candle on the bedside table is calming. Martha will enjoy quietly doing yoga on the pink patterned yoga mat with sunshine coming in through the windows. Very nice sofa seat sitting windows alcove! The pink curtains over the area looks very nice, and the butterflies look very pretty on the walls either sides of the alcove. The windows study desk and vanity table nook is very nice! She will enjoy sitting at the desk table using the computer or doing her homework, with sunlight coming in onto her. The beauty items are a nice touch on the vanity table. She will like sitting on the pink chair using the beauty products to prepare for her visitors. Very nice corner nook where the pink themed wall decor has been placed in the middle of the lights edged frame! It looks great! The pink sofa and armchairs sitting area is very nice! Martha and her friends will have fun playing console games there and enjoy listening to radio music. The round floor rug is a nice touch. It is special that Martha and her best friend have half pink hair to go with the colour of her room! :)
The pink colour scheme of the teen bedroom is very nice! Thankyou very much for entering this week’s challenge :)

@Broncos4life Your teen room looks fantastic! I like that you've used the shape of the room, furniture, and rugs to make well-defined spaces for sleep, socialising, and studying. The window seat looks great with the curtains overhanging. The wall patterning, lighting and art are all very well chosen, I think. Nice work!

@rosemow thank you!<3 I think it's the temperamental weather draining me - one day it's too hot to move, another day it's so dreary you don't feel like moving. Have been down to enjoy a swim at the beach the last couple of days after the heat of the day isn't so bad, so that's nice.

@rosemow Thank you for the fun challenge – I had so much fun with this one! It was super-hard to find orange or just orange in the items, so I settled for several things that had deeper yellow. I hope that’s okay. <3

    Backstory and Design Intentions:

Martha’s family has built their dream home, and the theme for her room is Boho-Hippie. The color emphasis is shades of orange – her faves. Martha’s favorite styles and things to do are included...

There is an area by the window with spa items for meditating and practicing yoga. Her bed nook has a canopy bed, candles and lovely décor. There is a vintage stereo for dancing, a desk and computer to do homework and surf the web, and she can’t wait to hang out with her friends in her sofa/beanbag nook!

The patterned floor rug and candles are nice beside and under the bed. Very nice windows yoga area! She will enjoy restfully yoga on the mat there in the sunlight. The sunflowers are a sunny touch, and the zen decor, candles wall and stones/plant are calming touches. She will enjoy the nice aroma coming from the orange incense holder. The glass wall candles wall corner nooks look great! Very nice dance area! The yellow and orange patterned cabinet and table, and the orange rose and candle on the table , look great there! She will enjoy dancing to the music. The orange lamps are very nice placed either sides of the stereo, and the Boho hippie wall mirror is a nice touch. The patterned floor rug adds a nice look to the area. Very nice study desk area! She will enjoy sitting at the desk table using the computer, and the patterned picture on the wall would be very nice for her to look at whilst sitting there doing her homework. The candles and books are nice on the desk.

@rosemow Thank you so much for your very kind and thoughtful comments! You are so amazing and encouraging! I had a lot of fun with this one, and my granddaughter want s the room and is disappointed that the test sim was not one that looked like her and now I have an assignment to make a sim like her for my game. Haha... may have to make a house to go with the room, and then... oh, my, I think she needs her own sims game. ;)

@SmallAurelius Thank you for your kind compliments! It means a great deal to me! Your room was so fun and cute... I would love that for a toddler room, and you did a wonderful job on it! <3<3

Oh sorry no that room was by @Gwiniel, I'd quoted the pictures. I've now removed the images from the quote as I don't want to be credited as it's not my room.

I'm glad you liked Gwiniel's room though!! And enjoyed the compliments I wrote for your room

Cute, snug, pink toddler bedroom @Strongbumblebee with plenty of room to practice walking safely and a chair for a parent to read or tell stories. The gray floor compliments the soft pink hues wonderfully.

My heart goes out for you, truly @chips46. I can't even imagine how horrible it is for you. The 1 week full blown migraine episode I had was so terrible... to think someone to suffer like that their whole life nonstop. There are no words to describe how sorry I am for you. There's nothing wrong with your rooms, most of them are incredible!
I know there's a rare condition where people constantly get unimaginably horrible acute headaches like migraines and they have a special medicine pen they have to inject asap to get even a small relief. However, I don't know the name for that condition, but it sounds awfully lot like your suffering. There's no known cause for it and thus no cure either... just temporary relief. If I remember correct, it has different forms as in most having several acute episodes daily but the worst sufferers has it pretty much nonstop. Whatever your case is, it's still horrible.

The powder pink teen bedroom is very lovely @Broncos4life. Nice clearly addressed areas for different activities. Love the backstory and decorative details on desks/tables and walls. Cute pictures of the room and Martha's life with her friend and handsome boyfriend.

Nice looking orange bedroom for Martha @SheriGR. She'll have plenty of space for her hobbies and friends but also for relaxation and homework. Love the seating area and bed nook. Lovely colorful details throughout the room. Your granddaughter sounds adorable :D And thank you for your comment about my room although addressed to SmallAurelius. I think every toddler and child in the world would love a huge private activity area like that, specially to share it with friends and possible siblings :)

Thanks for the lovely comments on my room @Gwiniel! And thanks for doing such wonderful highlights on everyone's rooms. I know it takes time and effort, so it's much appreciated!

    Great rooms everyone!!!

And @chips46, you know I love your work! Glad to see your entry; it's marvelous as usual. I know you have almost constant issues with pain and I hope that distractions like building or other things keep helping you deal with the pain. And your work never looks weird; it's always high quality.

Turquoise Bedroom is a very restful, calming and peaceful room! @emere :) The turquoise colour scheme is very nice! Very nice combination of the turquoise walls , vanity table vintage patterned turquoise wallpaper wall, and the grey texture patterned walls. Very nice vanity table area for Mary to enjoy sitting there doing her makeup. The flowers and candles are very pretty on the table top. Very nice turquoise sofa seat and armchair windows sitting nook! The Sims will enjoy sitting relaxing there with sunlight coming in through the windows. The white lilies and candle are calming touches on the coffee table, and the circular turquoise floor rug is a nice touch. Very nice bed area! The design of the bedhead area is great! The counters behind the bed, and the white blossom picture and water feature window with stars on it looks very creatively nice! The white flowers are a nice touch on either side. The type of wall lights used looks very nice. The wall clock is a great touch on the closet wall. Very nice gold edged mirrors in the room!

Wow, y'all have some gorgeous rooms! Took me awhile to settle on a color. I originally picked the color blue, then changed to green and finally yellow. I even thought about trying again for a purple room since it's my favorite color. Plus, I think I went a little overboard with the yellow. It really does make me want to wear sunglasses while looking at it. LOL Oh well, hope Mary and Mark enjoy it and hope y'all do too! Now, where did I put my sunglasses...

Preview pics for the brave in the spoiler in case some would rather not have their eyeballs burnt to a crisp. Open at your own risk, you've been warned! B)

Mary and Mark enjoy the outdoors, especially the warmth and brightness of the Sun. They recreated that feeling in their bedroom to enjoy the Sun's color all year round. It's cloudy? Raining? No worries, just hang out in our bedroom. Might want to bring a pair of sunglasses! o.O #oneroomoneweekonetheme #yellow #bedroom #NoCC #MOO #SHO #Debug #Playtested

Beautiful, classy, refined gem of a master @emere. The color combos work beautifully and the golden rims of items here and there bring a touch of added luxury. I get kind of a hotel or a celebrity room vibe (not a bad thing) or a luxury suite in some expensive spa that's also a hotel.

Love, love, love that yellow zing of awesomeness @Karababy52! First association was a lemon, then lolled to your fun backstory and larking before really laughing to the ingenious room name  Love all that lush deep green of the plants which contrasts brilliantly against the yellow. Thank you for this awesome, cheerful room and jokes <3<3<3

Thank you @Gwiniel, glad you like the room and that it gave you a laugh. lol :) The brief said one color, plus we could use white and gray, so by God that's exactly what I decided to try my darndest to do! :p There's even a couple of disguised blue stuff in that room, one of them rather large. I had fun trying to find something to cover them up! Wonder if anyone will figure it out. B)

It's ironic that you out of everyone commented first on my room because I was thinking about creating a purple room, but remembered you'd already done Lilac Melody. So, I chose yellow and then had to smack my head when I realized someone else had used yellow already too. D'oh! Oh well, there's only so many colors in the spectrum so it's all good.

BTW absolutely adore your room for the toddler. It's so whimsical, bright and beautiful with a variety of activities to keep your toddlers entertained. I think my soon-to-arrive new Granddaughter would love playing in that room, probably my Grandson too!

Thanks again for commenting! I'll try to comment on everyone else's room if I can find the time. Right now though I need to get some sleep, my eyes are bloodshot and aching from looking at that room! Seriously! ;) Have a great day/night everyone! <3

@emere Your room is elegant and understated with the careful and sparing use of colour. Very well thought out, and it definitely seems relaxing x

@Karababy52 I like your bedroom, it's so cheerful. The plants and hints of white soften the overall look nicely. My eyeballs weren't burnt, though my screen is on 40% brightness  Good work

@luckyheather your Japanese room is beautiful; somehow it manages to be both extremely bold and delicate, instantly popping, yet reminding me of the spring cherry blossoms. Beautiful creation

@luckyheather Thank you for your kind feedback on my room! It means a great deal to me. <3 Oh, the sim was grabbed from the Tillman family as-is and just choosing new clothes for her... she was perfect for what I was looking for for the 'role'! Your room is amazing and so stunning! I love the use of color, contrast, light, and the creativity/layout/design. Clever use of the padded benches above the bed - and those are some creepy looking ghoul-gargoyle creatures up there ;) ! Very well done and beautiful!

@Gwiniel Hahaha... I can't believe I mixed up the rooms! I will make a correction comment. Wow... it was a long day in front of sims for me yesterday. ;) Thank you for your understanding. Your comments about my room were so very kind and cherished. My granddaughter is all-about being an early teen and a very thoughtful, sweet, intense whirlwind combo. They live on the other side of our duplex so she has been a fixed part of our household since her mom moved in when she was 7. Definitely our first go-around of dealing with girl entering the teen years! (We have 4 boys.) <3

@SheriGR Not yet! To be honest I only just started it about half an hour ago, and it's the middle of the night here. I've been building for other challenges (gnome home, house boat) and also doing little bits on my village, and also today I made one of my IRL childhood homes.

I think I'll have it finished in the next 12 hrs is my guess
