Sims constantly reset

I haven't seen this posted, so forgive me if it is a repeat of other threads. Since downloading the game pack and patch, my sims can't seem to keep on task or do two things at once. I have a young adult caring for a sister that is a child. If the older sister is painting and the child is drawing and I try to get them to start up a conversation, they both reset. They stop what they are doing and just stand there. If they are both in the same room and one of them passes a milestone, they both reset. If they are eating and I try and direct the conversation they reset. Every time I blink it seems they reset. Any ideas? I have no custom content and am running on a decently robust machine. Thanks!

Try repairing the game and resetting the game cache:

    Origin > right-click The Sims 4 > Repair Game
    1. Move (not copy) Saves, Tray, Mods, Screenshots, and Custom Music folders and the Options.ini
file to your desktop. Delete the Scratch subfolder from inside Saves.
    2. Delete the rest of the The Sims 4 folder from your Documents > Electronic Arts folder.
    3. Start the game, and exit the game. Now you have a fresh Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder.
    4. Copy all the folders and the file back and start the game again.

Yep. I repaired the game and now I get the starving Sims problem. Sims spend money for food but won't cook. Aggravation. Trying again. Back later to let you know how it turned out.

Oh no! The usual cure for the dead-fridge thing is to repair the game. But some people have fixed it with clearing the game cache, and some people have fixed it by removing cupboards from above the fridge and stove.

I had to get rid of my upper cabinets above the stove and move the one above the fridge higher to fix that.

I have no upper cabinets. I cleared the cache again and the resets began again. It's a vicious cycle. I am thinking about completely wiping the game and starting over. On a positive note, a complete reinstall does not take as long as a Sims3 reinstall with all those packs and store purchases.

If you have the time, could you help with providing info for this bug? http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/Info-Request-Sims-can-t-cook-can-t-use-fridge/m-p/4345691
