Yoga, meditation/prayer, music. Some game playing and movies. I have some low level anxiety as well, and I use some herbal tinctures to help with that (Kava and Saint John’s Wort, specifically).
I dunno, which is sad bc I have Disney+ but rarely want to watch a Disney movie. Just watched Hocus Pocus with my gurl and it had a few funny moment but overall, can't understand why they want to remake it. Lots of awkwardness showing how disconnected the baby boomer writers were, like a child saying such an antiquated early-to-mid-20th century phrase as "Iget the picture" which I can only hear in Bugs Bunny's voice in my head, and a nonsmoking teen boy in the 90s carrying a Zippo lighter in his pocket? Downright weird, as the only carriers of zippo lighters at the time were already middle aged men.
And let's not even get into the extreme shock value of the "dumb blonde" witch asking if she could hang the boy from a hook and play with him, or worse, the CHIPs motorcycle cop (a costume) leaning over with his arm around the boys neck asking in a conspiratorial low voice, if the boy was *really* a virgin. She and I were both staring open mouthed at that one. Surely the writers were too innocent to see the problem? We told ourselves that had to be it.
If Disney has bought Office Space, maybe that would be my best comfort comedy. Ut zi haven't checked.
I have either Covid or the flu, not sure which because I have never had a positive Covid test nor has Himself so I gave up testing, but I'm in bed whimpering and surviving on hot jasmine tea and saltines, waiting til I can take another dose of Tylenol (paracetamol) and aspirin.
What do you do to keep from dying of boredom when you're too sick to get out of bed much?
Harry's Soap in the scent called Stone bc I don't react to the fragrance. Sometimes Harry's Anti-dandruff 2 in 1 not because I have dandruff, I don't, but bc I like the mild minty scent.
Have you ever almost kissed a friend and ended up laughing about it instead?
No month is my single favorite. I have lived enough to have tragedy and loss associated with several. I like autumn best as a season though.
I have confirmed Covid, knew it had to be that or influenza, and even though I had 2 shots, my 2nd shot was just over a year ago and I had planned on a booster but hadn't got it yet. Himself had a booster recently and is feeling poorly but nothing near so bad as I am. Wishing I had also gotten my booster too, he is so much better off than I am despite also testing positive. I had two shots, and am miserable like the flu but at least not needing the hospital.
Anyone else had Covid (probably everyone, you'd literally have to live on a desert island not to, by now) and what was your experience like?
