I was never able to play the sims 1 but I am always curious how would it be to play it.
Nonetheless, I remember how in the sims 2 how warm it made me feel when the child of my sim went running to his house after school when he had a good grade to share the great news, how the child went running to his dad when his dad came from work and they looked so genuinely happy. The great detailed stories the families had like Bella Goth disappearance and the big family tree of ancestors the sims had with the goths cemetery and even knowing that the Caliente family had an alien as an ancestor! There was dominant and recessive genes and the little video scene they put when the sims propose or have woohoo etc was great. How my little toddler got really cold that their skin got blue and I had to put her in front of the fireplace and be told a story by her grandpa till she got warm and healthy again. I remember I was so scared she would die..and now is a fond memory for me.
In the sims 3 I specially liked how you could go anywhere and you felt such a freedom walking anywhere you wanted. How there was many parts in the world that were pretty secret and nice where I could take my sims to explore and even propose. The big surprises I get with the story progression and the amount of infinite options i had to decorate my home and my sims. How even with the flaws of the sims I could still laugh at the careless of the parents when they left their newborn baby in the snow while they went to a coffee shop. I also loved how I could alternate with the family with no problem and control them all at once no matter where they were. I loved the pets and I felt so connected to my sims' kitten that I was dreading the moment she would eventually pass away. I was taking that pixelated kitten that grew to a very cute cat like if it was my own real life pet. It was just so cute how that cat loved my sim and always was so affectionate to her.
There is more I can say about the sims 4. But I feel I have written enough for now lol
Right the initial photos are up everyone-you may need to look back if you popped in early great to hear such great comments so far-hopefully we can all enjoy this journey together to celebrate our love of the sims
As we are tagging here goes a few of you off the top of my head! No favouritism-I love everyone here on the boards so if I missed you it's not on purpose if people want to tag people who they know who will enjoy this thread feel free to do so with the rest of your post
Wow, well done everyone! I love seeing pictures, I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with to contribute. Really makes me wish I still had ts1 to play around with!! Beautiful job on the building *squee* I'm just so excited about this thread *shakes pom poms* (no really I am)
It is very nice seeing the home in the different versions of the sims games! Each of you have put much work into representing the room according to the version of the game that you are playing. It is great seeing the furnishings in the rooms, and how they vary in the different game . Each of the homes are very nice! Thankyou for your work in combining the images for each of the rooms/areas and the outdoirs areas/exterior into the one image. It is great comparing them side by side. I am enjoying looking at the pictures. Thankyou for bringing this visual history of the sims to us
Yay @psychyourmind08, we missed you Hope everything went good for you!
It's going! Lol. Keep on truckin'. It's crazy. I also was doing the Sims 4 Demo, it wasn't too bad! But alas, that's over and I'm Sims 4-less again (but also $70 richer)
Just want to remind everyone HOW ANNOYINGLY DIFFICULT THE CAMERAS IN "THE SIMS" ARE. Oh my lanta let me tell you. It's severely frustrating trying to get a shot and not being able to become "one" with my sims. 3 or 4 zoom options, 4 camera options - I kept getting lost.
Also little to no objects or customization in the Delux (that also includes Livin' Large for those who need reference) Still a great classic & throwback game, love the humor but it really puts things into perspective.

Like @Wilderwolf started sharing-sorry I was busy creating the thread before but those are awesome pictures and we are grateful you shared them with us all
Wow looking them all over you can see the graphical changes. Some big and some subtle. Thank you for the adds @Wilderwolf they add some contrast also. So cool to see the differences and yet the same! Each one unique and a great game in it's own way!
Your camping comparison photos that you have shared are great! @Wilderwolf It was great seeing the different forms of the tents, and where the sims can buy their camping supplies. It was interesting and nice seeing pictures of CAS through the versions too. Your sims 4 versions of the Newbies are very nice. You have reflected them well in sims 4 gameform It is great seeing the different plumbob versions too.
Amazing job guys!! Really love the difference through the yrs. Seeing the sims 1 really made me miss the game, I am so going to have to buy that one again. You really can tell just how much the game has progressed through the years.
Thanks for sharing. I love comparing the pictures. I didn't play the original Sims but I have played from Sims 2 onwards. Happy memories. Thanks all who contributed.

Sorry I've been out a lot lately, on that job hunt. It's exhausting. But I'm glad the thread made it up especially in time for the 15 year Anniversary
