How to add missing hair colors to CC hair?

Hi,

I've been looking all over the internet for a tutorial on how to add missing hair colors to a new CC hair I just downloaded. I really like the hair, but unfortunately it is missing some of Maxis-made haircolors. Can anybody point me to a tutorial that explains how to add these missing colors?

I'd really appreciate any help on this matter.

I wrote a tutorial showing how to add swatches to an existing hair for your personal use. The tutorial will not result in a new standalone item...it will just add swatches to the already existing item. I posted it at Sims 4 Studio forums HERE.

Do you know if the custom hair is using the original EA hair textures that the item was cloned from? If it does not your best bet might be to export one of the colors and use that to create the other colors. If it does there are two ways to go about adding the missing colors and which way you chose would depend on your comfort level with modding a hair and the number of swatches you want to add.
