Sims 4 Intro - New Items Added

I have been looking around, but haven't figured out how to get my intro for Sims 4 to stop showing 'New Items are available in your game' and showing each of the sims 3 content awards, the up all night, animal hats, and life of the party, and the holiday pack. Its driving me batty to have to click thru all of them ever time I open my game. Is there a mod or a way to have them skipped?

They showed up all for me when I removed my whole sims 4 folder in my documents, so my guess is that the game is trying to edit a file there to say that the game has showed these notifications. Maybe you have accidentally (or purposefully) set one or more files as read only? I don't have the folder available right now, but someone might be able to check what file that is.

I'll check that, Fogity! Thanks! It started after I got the holiday pack, so I'll poke around for a read only file.

Hello Another simmer was having the same problem. They were advised to clear their Origin cache, which would then mean you see the announcements once more, then not again after that. A link to information about clearing the Origin cache is

I tried deleting the origin caches, but it killed my sims 4 game (stupid me for not saving a copy before I deleted!). I redownloaded Sims 4, and now it is fine, and no more extended intro with all new items yay!

I am sorry that you lost your game. I am glad that the issue with the new items being shown at the beginning has been fixed up after you redownloaded the sims 4.
