I don't mind your opinion but I'm going to have to disagree, I like the game even though it's missing some basic fearures that should be in the base game already

Fair enough man, but since 4 dropped I've played 3 more O_o
Built an epic house as well and actually finished it. Couldn't have done it in 4, lots are too small. It wouldn't have played right either, because of loading screens.
I just don't, I can't, I can't even understand how a series goes backwards (almost swore there :O) and has worse performance even on the powerful PCs out there and then charges $60 for it. Like I've said, a series should go forward, not stay in the same place/go backwards after 14 years and release a tonne of EPs that should be in the base game. Like I've said, look at Watch_Dogs (Find the E3 settings hidden in the files), AC, GTAV, games with open worlds that run fine and had a bit of vision when they were made. YouTube has spoken, Metacritic has spoken, Amazon has spoken. This game needs to die under a bus. Or better still, be put in a pool and have the ladder taken away.
Look at EA's recent big games,
SSX (2012) - The game died within 30 days or so, because the community deserted it, it was that bad
Battlefield 4 - Bugged
Battlefield Hardline - Awful, played the beta and that told me all I needed. Admittedly, game is not out yet, so it could still change
Mass Effect 3 - The whole ending thing
Sim City - Destroyed the franchise. 'Offline play is not possible in Sim City'. Modders come along and provide offline play
Sims 4 - Less features than the previous 3 iterations claiming it will "improve performance" (the crash log in my PC says otherwise) and then they release a patch that means you can't even load your game. How!?
^ That's either laziness, incompetency or greed. Take your pick
Then you have studios like Naughty Dog producing consistently good titles and then there's EA spewing out trash. And people will buy it
Says the person who is perfectly happy to throw even more money at EA because the game has "potential".
:P I'm the opposite. I don't pay for potential. I pay for results and proven track record. You mess up too many times you get reviews like this. I call devs out when they do poor work or if there's something not right in the game/industry (not just this game, any game)
I agree with a lot of what he said. But that's why I'm back to playing TS3. At this point I cannot foresee buying any additional content for TS4 either. I've just come to the realization that I don't enjoy the game that much and I can't justify spending extra money on something that I don't really enjoy.
Good video, and well put together, not a random 'I hate EA' video but an honest reason why they are not happy with the game and why many people are un happy, miss a step backwards, the new neighbourhood looks awful, The Sims 3 build apon TS2 which itself built on the original, this game, despite a few improvements to CAS and buildmode is not a complete base came and will still not feel complete with all EPs, SPs, GPs and even DLC
What people watching that video need to also be aware of is all the glitches we are also having to put up with in this expensive, feature lacking game.

First to the OP, I love the video because those are points I have expressed before the game released, considering what was previewed and allowed for showing. I know how I sim and my friends sim, the game was big on interactions but missed the mark on details. For me, the little things do so much more in my appreciation of the big things. Sims 3 was also guilty of this very thing, but later the game was changed to allow more little interactions that made the big, new shiny more awesome. My largest gripe with Sims 3 was yes, we have an open world but why no interactive grocery store? There was a place for rabbit hole shopping but that took away the little details that would make the open world awesome! Then in Sims 4, take the grocery store away completely, just poof the ingredients when they open the fridge. WTG, Sims team and koodles on the cooking animations but now my sims don't shop for groceries at all, not a place to go anymore and just poof the ingredients are there. *sigh* This is one of many examples I can go into about the fact I can't have immersion in the game.
With all the FX going on in the game, why can't sims use some of that for travel? Would it have killed them to allow sims to use the trolley or steamboat for that? What, too much time to animate those cars speeding down the road but not allow for carpooling or taxi pickup so we can feel they are truly traveling? I hate (yes this is true hate) the teleporting, it's low level and show no love for the player's interest. But that's IMHO.
What's with the half-plum interaction of normal staples of cheats, like MOO or buydebug? It is not persistent to the gallery and MOO is worth a penny if my setup is missing when I open the game again after placing things using the cheat in my last game session. Why is that too hard to get correct after 2 series had that cheat and nothing changed from one game session to the next? Forget using debug items that is part of the base game to create a different and imaginative setting for design and expect to share it, poof, it's gone from the gallery. What's the point of this series if we are limited with our imagination? How can players that have used and expressed game assets for creativity now are frustrated with the confinements of being stagnated and shown that it's not happening this time. It's EA's way or the highway now, so forget them. I'm not buying anymore for this series and that video along with what I've experienced show me this is not worth my money. Yeah, I'm totally frustrated.
Nothing to see. I don't even care about the forums.
It's not "hate". Did you watch the video? It's almost all fact. The community's view of this game will only improve when the game improves.
yes i did watch the video and its all about how much the guys "hates" the game...hes condescending, overly critical and boring...its not fact, its a very bias opinion piece where the guy slams the game for 10 minutes then throws in his little paid ad at the end to get a discount for the very game hes telling everyone not to buy...pretty sleazy if you ask me...now, if you dont like what i have to say thats your right to disagree but constantly following me around threads and purposfully taking issue with me about the things i say isnt your job and only serves to make you look like some sort of troll...please, make your comments and leave me out of it

Very well said. Agree with this 100%. The people that ask for the hate to stop always forget that the people they class as 'haters' are people who want to love the game but can't due to all the bugs/missing features.
Real haters of the Sims 4 would be saying things like 'I hate that game, I'd never play it. Its rubbish'. Where as we're not like that... we want the game to improve to it's potential so that we can love it like previous Sim games.

I acknowledge the game has a lot of problems that has turned people away from it, but for me this game has been the best in the franchise since TS2. One person's idea of Heaven is another person's idea of Hell.

No not just in his/her opinion, it's fact. Most of what the guy in the video was doing was explaining whats in the game and whats missing. I dont see how thats an 'opinion'. It's pure fact.

It is an opinion when used in the context of this thread; I'm well aware of the items that are missing, I'm aware of the issues in the game even though I'm fortunate enough not to have noticed them in my own game but not everyone is bothered by what is missing. That was the point I was trying to make.
It is not a fact that this game needs "to die" because things are missing - that is an opinion.

I agree it's not a fact that the game needs "to die". Absolutely. But the post you replied to saying "in your opinion" was a post saying "he only said the truth".
Almost all of what the guy said in the video was true.
