Try to marry and disappears?

Good Morning :) Tried to marry my sim today and the very moment I would prompt her ask him, plan a party or try to elope her fiance would disappear! I would try to call him back but he was busy. Tried this several times in several places still same result. So I restarted my game and now she is married with no problems. Just wondering if anyone knows why this is or has also had this problem.
