I guess that Arturo Stanford-Sprottenham was "hiding" in the bedroom until mom came home.
So I finally went through my screenshots. I keep getting lots of shots I like in every play and having to whittle them down to my favorites. I literally got 41 different shots that I really liked of Jay's save, but whittled it down to 9 of my absolute favorites to share.
Some of you might remember when I played Jay years ago, but she was styled a lot differently and I had only played her for like, a moment.
When I took Jay out of my bin she was wearing a lot of clothing, and it was seriously dark clothing, and I know I had Jay in Isla Paradiso last time I played her too! What was younger me thinking? Jay would have been sweltering in the heat in the clothing I had her in, so I changed her into clothing more appropriate for the island heat.
I love this face she made after getting into the world. (I love the location of the house I chose for her, you can see what the game considers a park behind her, but it has a kitchen, and since her lot is small, I later placed the harvest stand there out front, the canning station in the kitchen and some other things she could get away with using there.)
She immediately took to buying fruit from the harvest stand and using it to make jams of all sorts of types with the canning station. I like the jams so much!
She's so silly but I love her! Flexing her muscles after flushing the toilet
Half of the life of a lifeguard is spent running on a beach, and even outside of working hours, Jay proves it:
Her very first shift as a lifeguard, Jay's shift was literally almost over when suddenly, out of nowhere, someone finally almost drown! And, as Jay was running to save him, she almost stopped, and I had to redirect her, because the unborn baby of a woman, who was also on the beach (but not pictured) literally chose that exact moment to start being born! Jay still succeeded, and I even had her accompany the woman to the hospital for good measure afterward. Jay is a good sim, and also donates often.

Haha, yeah, in regards to Abigails gift, I do have an image of something in my head, now also sticking out of the mouth of a carp! What a strange, but probably amusing custom! :P HAha, the gift giving thing for me has always been a family event, and in adult age mostly something done for the children, so such a thing would not happen there! :P
Thanks about the music choice. I sometimes like to put songs on updates, for whatever reason I may have. :P I won't always expect people to listen to them, because type of song may vary greatly from pop ballads to the less radio friendly. Only limitiation is that I have to make sure its clean content... The Roxette song was a bit of a last minute decision, because of her looking out the window at the rain, and well, the tragic love stories kind of thing. Ranveig has two children, but she hasn't been to lucky in her love life.. She is a hopeless romantic sometimes, without having that as a personality trait..
I think you did a good job with their pyjama outfits, and I can definately see the benefits of leaving needs static and free will off, so one won't have to interpret and make a story of their actions afterwards.. :P
When I was growing up, coming from a family of 7 children, opening up presents on Christmas was always orchestrated. From youngest first to oldest. Good times.

@texansky Oh, about the exchange sims. It's probably not that important. It would probably just be another sim that I wouldn't really use for anything. I have created many sims already only ever to be used as "background people" or for very specific things and probably never to be used again... I may take note of the Strong Sisters though, if I should suddenly need some new female inhabitants in any of the towns.

@bekkasan Oh, I always get confused when Americans start talking about their degrees in fahrenheit. 70s, 80s and 90s are decades to me, not temperatures... :P Hmm, but 70s is what I would call low 20s, yep, comfortable range. 80s = mid 20s, ok starting to get hot. 90s = low 30s, ah, ok, now its hot. The hottest temperature I have been in was one summer when I was in France. 36 degrees celsius = 96 or 97 F. Way to hot for me. The hotel had air condition and with the humidity as well, it was like walking into a wall whenever I left it, awful. :P To the beach or to the mountains...
I didn't know sims could play with kites in the game, no. That can't be base game content, for sure. Hmm, where would they get the kite from?
Yeah, I suppose there is a lot of sad things about Ranveigs life, which is probably why she is the sim I have the greatest empathy with... I really don't know about the realism there, seeing as I don't know myself what it's like to be a parent, but it just felt natural for her to be that way, and it's an interesting (though to me unknown) perspective to write from.
Oh, well, Robert does play with the computer often too, he just didn't do it for the last update. :P

It's also scientifically proven that playing the piano makes you 200% sexier.
I think that would work for almost any instrument in my opinion. Yes, still even something usual like the guitar, or unusual like the hurdy-gurdy. :P
@GraceyManor I might be a bit late, but have you tried using MC to increase your Sim’s cooking skill? Even if you use MC to change recipes that a Sim knows, the mod doesn’t allow Sims to learn recipes that are above their skill level.

I had it installed, but I removed it and replaced it with a fresh
copy and that seems to have done the trick.
anyways, my poor game looks terrible! Especially the jagged edges, I have edge smoothing turned completely on and its just terrible.
River smiled as she remembered the time that two guys propositioned her at the Meet n’Greet for new students at the SUB (Student Union Building). Evidently, Mahmoud Yavari hadn’t gotten the message back then that she wasn’t on the market and had proceeded to proposition her. She hadn’t liked the fact that he’d propositioned her again when she had told him flatly that she had a fiancé.
His leather-jacket wearing friend had scoffed and said, “They all say that, even when they’re not dating someone…” The entitled way he said it made River see red.
River just barely resisted smacking the braincells out of him and just said “Well I’m saying it because it’s true and you really don’t want to **** off my fiancé. He’s a brown belt in kung fu.” She smirked at Leather Jacket dude. “You just might find your head in the next municipality…” she paused with a menacing stare, “…after he vacates it from its current position…on your neck…with a roundhouse kick.” She turned on her heels with a snort of disdain and walked away towards her fiancé who had just come up the stairs to meet up with her.
“So what’s going on?” He asked River who looked annoyed as if she’d had her feathers ruffled.
“Oh just two idiots…” she remarked off-handed. “Thought I was still single and wouldn’t take no for an answer. One said I was lying even though I clearly had an engagement ring on my finger. What the hell exactly did he think I was wearing it for? Decoration?”
Her fiance’s eyes narrowed as his lips pursed in an expression of displeasure. He turned his head towards the two he assumed were the culprits and glowered darkly, thinking dark thoughts about what he was about to do to them after they disrespected his girl like that. River did not like the menacing smile that had formed on her fiancé’s lips and knew that her beloved fiancé was calculating how best to inflict as much pain as possible on the two of her unwanted suitors…
Yay found a way to incorporate those screenshots into the story. 😝

Oriole Bird is pregnant with Craven Lestat's daughter. They already have a son, Blaine. I realized that she was supposed to give birth on Friday, so I switched to her household and she is holding Blaine and in labor. She won't go to the hospital, and Alouette can't take her to the hospital. I can't do any interactions with her except "go to hospital" which means I can't currently use NRAAS cheats on her.
I tried resetsim on Blaine, which put him on the floor and I got the music that a baby was born, but there is no baby and she still appears pregnant. I was then able to use NRAAS to reset her, but now she's not pregnant and no baby.
I reloaded the game and tried resetting the lot, but then she wasn't pregnant any longer.
Obviously, I want them to have this baby to continue the story, but I don't know how to fix this.
How do you use cheats to make an instant baby with a specific father? I wasn't able to figure it out on my own.

If I look back, I think my "story" was at a point where Vivian and Stephen weren't even married yet and had just engaged. In my actual game, I just came back with three of their YA kids from university *sigh*, and the first one just got married. Meh, it isn't that interesting to read, anyway.
Vivian and Stephen, thanks to their occasional use of Stephen's special culinary skills, are still very much like they were though. Here's a recent pic:

@GraceyManor Oriole isn't pregnant anymore after the reload, and then you can use the cheat. The interactions only won't work while she is still in the state of stuck pregnancy.
When I reset the lot, Oriole looked like she wasn't pregnant, but when I tried to click on her, I got "go to hospital". I finally reset her and was able to use instant baby with the help of @Turjan
Oriole Bird and Craven Lestat now have a daughter named Ana Bird-Lestat.

I've been mistaken for a guy over the phone before because my voice is in the lower range, but I never knew that my tone in the forums was masculine.
And I am not insulted at all.
I too would like to see Spotten Sprottenham and Nicola Stanford together, but I think I've learned my lesson about meddling. The Sims will do what they want to do regardless of what I try to make them do. (Changing careers for example. Both times, the Sims changed their careers back!)

There are four wild horses hanging around outside of Shear Perfection Salon & Tattoo Parlor.
Mark & Emmaline Simself-Woods are expecting another one. It looks like they will have three in diapers soon. They don't have room for any more cribs, much less for beds when the toddlers become children. I'm going to have to find them a bigger place to live.
Mark Simself-Woods just celebrated his birthday and is now an adult...
...and having a midlife crisis.
As soon as Mark finished his birthday, I moved them to a different house. The family teleported across town into their new home. When I checked to see where the toddlers were, so I could put the tired little ones to bed, I found Harold still at the old house all alone. I had to resetsim him to get him to his new home with the rest of the family.
Safe and sound in his bed now, although it looks like he wants more cuddle time with dad.
Gee, thanks, Gavin Vulpis-Pinkerton! That just set the Simself-Woods family funds to zero! I cheated and gave them §5000 so the move wouldn't destitute them.
NOTE: I wonder if it is because I sold the furniture in a rental?

This evening however I was working on finishing up decorating a shell home I claimed to decorate (as well as taking pictures and then uploading to the Exchange) for the Disney Magic Kingdom World Collaboration and here is my post I just shared on that thread showcasing its completion. Feel free to download for your game too.
I wanted to come up with a cute name for this home instead of just Sears #187. Since I saw online that many Sears catalog homes had names like "The Magnolia" or "The Alhambra" I thought I would take the exterior colors and dub this one "The Bluebell." Through the years though, I like to imagine, that residents have come to call it "Bluebell Cottage."
I wanted to make it real snazzy inside because, it's a home on MAIN STREET in DMK! I tried to use as little Store content as possible when decorating, but alas there are so many cute pieces from the Store that I just HAD to use to complete the theme of the room. But most of the items are from EP's and SP's. 👍 I also low key decorated the bedrooms so that y'all could decorate it to the preference of the Sims that you move into it. (In case you're wondering why they - particularly the spare bedroom - might look a little bland compared to the rest of the house. Lol!

Lisa Dawnlight has learned that Zac Whipsnake is in a relationship with Vallari Chandra.
Martin Flannagan has been painting.
Phoenix Flannagan nuzzling her pup Prince.
Cheri Nash has just now learned the Cooking skill. I wonder if she got the skill from warming baby bottles?
Looks like Al Calavicci refused to pay his child support.
David had a wish to join the firefighter career, so I had him quit his job in the military.
He was hungry, so the first thing he did was raid the fridge.
Sprotten Sprottenham failed to pay his child support.
AJ Bishop neglected to pay his very first child support payment.
He would rather buy the latest video games.
Cheri Nash is not hopeful for the future. "It's just you and I, Andrew. Oh, and auntie Lisa, too."
Bradley Hanover-Wallis just purchased a new car...

Booker Fairfax-Singleton made his child support payment on time. Maybe Emma Fairfax-Singleton had a hand in that?

I have a dilemma.
Oriole Bird is pregnant with Craven Lestat's daughter. They already have a son, Blaine. I realized that she was supposed to give birth on Friday, so I switched to her household and she is holding Blaine and in labor. She won't go to the hospital, and Alouette can't take her to the hospital. I can't do any interactions with her except "go to hospital" which means I can't currently use NRAAS cheats on her.
I tried resetsim on Blaine, which put him on the floor and I got the music that a baby was born, but there is no baby and she still appears pregnant. I was then able to use NRAAS to reset her, but now she's not pregnant and no baby.
I reloaded the game and tried resetting the lot, but then she wasn't pregnant any longer.
Obviously, I want them to have this baby to continue the story, but I don't know how to fix this.
How do you use cheats to make an instant baby with a specific father? I wasn't able to figure it out on my own.

Click on Oriole NRaas > MC > Intermediate > Instant Baby > choose "donor" (if you dismiss the filter, you get an alphabetic list of all residents).

I was busy doing some real-life stuff during the last days, given my back is finally not acting up anymore.
If I look back, I think my "story" was at a point where Vivian and Stephen weren't even married yet and had just engaged. In my actual game, I just came back with three of their YA kids from university *sigh*, and the first one just got married. Meh, it isn't that interesting to read, anyway.
Vivian and Stephen, thanks to their occasional use of Stephen's special culinary skills, are still very much like they were though. Here's a recent pic:

It's two days before spring and the geese are flying back in a snowstorm.
I found Craig Clarson at the consignment store playing with the virtual reality goggles.
And it appears that Craig Clarson has been unfaithful to Sugar Tee.
I wonder who he cheated on her with?

Sprotten Sprottenham has been doing repairs as a side-hustle.
Benjamin Schmidt has been climbing the corporate ladder. He is now Vice President of the company. I wonder if he will take Rodney Simovitch-Singleton's CEO position away from him?
I thought Benjamin went to the Watering Hole Saloon to celebrate, but he had other plans. He is reading The Epic of the Tattered Trousers.
Bekkasan Sim earned a promotion to Patrol Officer.
Bekkasan sure likes spending time with Cynnamon Tee-Clarson.
It's time for Shana Black-Tanner to celebrate her birthday and become a toddler. Her mom, Becky, doesn't look too thrilled about it.
Becky didn't even stay around for the transformation, but went upstairs to chat with Nikkei Simmer on the computer.

I guess David Arellano just isn't feeling the Firefighter career. He reenlisted in the Military career.
I'm going to stop fulfilling career wishes when I have a Simself household active. So far, they have all changed back to their previous careers.

When I reset the lot, Oriole looked like she wasn't pregnant, but when I tried to click on her, I got "go to hospital". I finally reset her and was able to use instant baby with the help of @Turjan

Anticipation only makes the story that much better when it arrives.
I've been mistaken for a guy over the phone before because my voice is in the lower range, but I never knew that my tone in the forums was masculine.
And I am not insulted at all.
I too would like to see Spotten Sprottenham and Nicola Stanford together, but I think I've learned my lesson about meddling. The Sims will do what they want to do regardless of what I try to make them do. (Changing careers for example. Both times, the Sims changed their careers back!)

Week 3, Friday, part 4
There are four wild horses hanging around outside of Shear Perfection Salon & Tattoo Parlor.
Mark & Emmaline Simself-Woods are expecting another one. It looks like they will have three in diapers soon. They don't have room for any more cribs, much less for beds when the toddlers become children. I'm going to have to find them a bigger place to live.
Mark Simself-Woods just celebrated his birthday and is now an adult...
...and having a midlife crisis.
As soon as Mark finished his birthday, I moved them to a different house. The family teleported across town into their new home. When I checked to see where the toddlers were, so I could put the tired little ones to bed, I found Harold still at the old house all alone. I had to resetsim him to get him to his new home with the rest of the family.
Safe and sound in his bed now, although it looks like he wants more cuddle time with dad.
Gee, thanks, Gavin Vulpis-Pinkerton! That just set the Simself-Woods family funds to zero! I cheated and gave them §5000 so the move wouldn't destitute them.
NOTE: I wonder if it is because I sold the furniture in a rental?

Nikkei Simmer is now an adult.
Vallari Chandra is now an elder.
Nicola Stanford is an adult. I'm not sure if I like her new hairstyle or not. Should I change it back?
