    Episode 45 – Changes - July 2727 part 1

This month Jenny will turn 36 and Marbel 23 years old.

    zcFU2Qk.jpg

Soon the team specialised in tower construction, would arrive at the site of the receiver tower construction. The leading engineer Andy Mclain who was also responsible for the rebuilding of the village, has rented the empty “student” house. The new project will take too much time, to be living in a small prison. His daughter Veronica and their dog Dolly, will also live in Greg’s River, during the construction process.

    dcYQJJG.jpg

Shina Nara felt a lot more secure about Botan and Norma now, and she respected the work Norma did. To lift some of the workload off Norma, she began to again take some shifts at the sales station. In return Norma take care of Daichi

    fEOuPV8.jpg

With that look at John face, I’m not sure I want to know, what the teens did in the bathroom

    2ZY2iVK.jpg

Anders Karlson have grown as tall as an adult, no longer looking or acting as a teenager. He and Elea Helsby spend a lot of time together and seems to be fond of each other. If you ask, they claim to be just best friends.

    XCcs1dc.jpg

Charles Vaughan is very glad his mother is now working, not to have to leave her alone every morning. Now he can make breakfast for them, knowing they both have a job to attend, after they have eaten together.

    OHIOa7J.jpg

Greg Preston is tired by the fact that too often plates attract bugs before they are cleaned. To avoid that he has ordered a dishwasher. Also, the Nara’s got one in this period.

    puitECB.jpg

There were some situations where captured wildlife broke out of their enclosures.

    gb1h1PX.jpg

The first harvest this season, the crops plenty due to the wet hot conditions.

    UHAoHE2.jpg
    7nv6OZw.jpg

Terry has bought the ingrediencies to make a huge wonderful cake. In a relatively poor household like his, the 1700$ donation from “Ent” can do wonders.

    EeyNw0k.jpg

One day almost all the workers from the construction site came to visit “River fashion house”, a busy day for Mussete Mercier and Michiko Vaughan.

    ku9dUe9.jpg

The constructions workers were not interested in tattoos, as soon as she saw them leave the house, Jane went back out, as she still does most of the time, when there are no visitors in her shop.

    ab9Qx6k.jpg
    lHn6HJm.jpg

Simon Stones is often lonely, he settled in “Greg’s River” because the was in love with Magdalena Mercier but that went very wrong after she became pregnant. Now he is mostly at home reading writing or playing the guitar.

    5hsCzzW.jpg

Family breakfast at the Mercier’s, Mateo is such a clever boy, always doing his part.

    Editorial:
Jenny fixed the shower at Greg’s, did not get a SC
Did nothing to attract the builders, they came to the fashion house, because they wanted to.
“Characters” from the building site will not “count” as villagers. “We” are (normaly) only interested, if and when they “appear” in our “story”.
Staged the picture introducing the McLain’s
I got the cake to secure Anders grow of at the right time.
    Everything else autonome

If you are using Fire fox that might be the issue, it seems they don't show in firefox, but they show in chrome and safari, unfortunately
I don't know how to fix that .I'm sorry. It will try to find a fix when I get home

Can anyone else see my photos?

@Tamijo @GraceyManor I often can't see the pics of just about anyone. It is just something that happens. If they're taking too long to load the browser will just give up and says they timed out and that's that for this session. They might eventually appear.

The only time they can be fixed by one of us would be if a mistake was made when posting and then no one can see them.

    Mary Kendall, A Ghost Story
    Dreams

Layla never loses the fire in her brilliant eyes as she regards Mary. “I’ll have to say, you have guts ghost girl and apparently are loyal. I’m only temporarily down, and you should remember that. Conceivably there is a reason the Fates kept you tied to winter. We will explore this once I am better.” She grudgingly admits to them, “I suppose I should have permitted Jamison to explain rather than jumping down his throat.”
    51109070639_dca64c74c7_o.jpg

Layla turns to Jamie and scowls as if she has been eating lemons. “I expect I owe you thanks because you are going to Shang Simla to collect what is needed to restore me, so thank you.” As disagreeable as it must be to her she also apologizes to Jamie for not believing him and allowing him to explain. “How did you discover a cure so quickly? I’ve been asking for weeks, and no one knows anything.”

Jamie happily realizes Layla is not going to strike Mary down and replies to her question. “This may be a harsh and frozen town in the dead of winter, but it is not a backwards town. There is a large scientific and occult community here that works together rather than tear each other apart. Emmaline is a trained healer and knew of a cure once we told her about the curse."
He shrugs his shoulders and pierces her with a direct gaze. "I'm guessing you did not ask the right people when you started your search. Or, perhaps you crossed those people in the past and they didn’t want to aid you. You know the saying about ‘what goes around, comes around'. Your karma ultimately worked out to your disadvantage."

Layla looks startled at Jamie’s pronouncement as if she had not considered that before.

Bekka grins at Jamie’s response. She didn’t like hearing her town described as Fate forsaken and the implication it was uncivilized.
Layla looks over at Bekka. “Who are you?
    “Don’t you know?”
“Obviously not, my powers are not as strong as they should be.”
    “I’m Rebecca Danforth.”
“Jerich’s Granddaughter?“ Layla looks at her with interest and notices that she has Jerich's eyes and nose.
    “Yes.”
Layla peers intently at her but shakes her head. “🐸🐸🐸🐸 this weakness. I can’t sense anything. I guess ghost girl and Jamison are right and I need to take these ridiculous potions.”

Jamie and Bekka leave Mary to deal with Layla and the potions. Jamie hugs Mary and whispers, “Be aware, keep your temper and blink out of the room if her eyes start glowing.”
“Layla, if you’d like to come downstairs later I will assist you."
Layla nods at him. “I’ll have ghost girl call."
    51109321711_c3c30c50a9_o.jpg

“My name is Mary. You know that.”
“Yes, I do, but you are a feisty one and Mary seems like a wimpy name to me.”
“Take your potions, and we will go downstairs and fill you in on everything and find out if Damien got any more information about witches and Shang Simla. I will fix you a plate of food too. You need to eat to regain your strength.”
Layla dutifully takes the first potion and following the instructions she rests thirty minutes before taking the second.
    51109070604_3047f7f4cd_o.jpg

Damien is still working at his computer, so Jamie and Bekka sit at the bar and talk softly.
“You know Layla? Jamie asks Bekka, surprised by that possibility.
“Not really, but I know of her. She was a genie before she became an oracle. She had a relationship of some sort with my Grandfather many years ago. As her powers grew and the gift of prophecy was confirmed she left the community he lived in. I only have vague recollection of her, and that is from my parents talking about family, not from meeting her.
“Your grandfather? She would have been quite young back then. She normally doesn’t look much older than me. He’s gone now right?
“Yes, he had passed away before my parents died. You know genies don’t age the same as humans. We are not immortal, but we do live longer lives.
Jamie grins. “I know better than to ask a lady her age, so I never asked her.”
Bekka looks over at Jamie. “Very diplomatic I am sure. You’ve never asked me either.”
Jamie just smiles sheepishly at Bekka. “It doesn’t matter to me what your age is.”
    51109321631_266131af96_o.jpg
Jamie helps Layla down the winding staircase surprised at how feeble she is. It doesn’t seem the potions did much good. They gather in the living room and sit down.
Damien has not heard from the witch in Shang Simla. He contacted an acquaintance who is a police officer in Shang Simla. They met at a conference when he was with the police. He confirmed Lee lives in Shang Simla. He generously offered to send word someone was coming for help. Lee apparently preserves the ancient traditions and shies away from technology. Damien reserved a flight for Jamie leaving in a few hours.
Mary can see Layla is tired. She fixes her a bowl of nourishing soup and coaxes her to eat it. She tells the others they can talk about the prophecy tomorrow after Layla is rested and hopefully stronger.
    51110100405_90ca3fc36e_o.jpg

Jamie assists Layla back upstairs. “I know you are weak and feeling the effects of the curse as well as whatever happened after your meditation. I do hope the potions work and slow the aging down. I need you to understand one thing. I know you, Layla. I’ve seen what you do to those who cross you. If you hurt my friends in any way while I am gone, it will be the last thing you do. I promise you that.
“Jamie, I know I’ve not always been at my best around you.” She snorts as he boggles at her comment. “Ok, I know I’ve been downright mean and violent at times. I recognize you and your friends are indeed trying to heal me and you have no expectations from me. It is a rarity. Someone always desires something from me."

"I will not hurt your friends. I actually quite like that little Mary. She’s spunky. Rebecca is most likely kin somewhere down the line, so she is safe too. Damien is too handsome and nice to even think about hurting.”

She looks down at her feet and continues. “Jamison, it is strange and perhaps you won’t believe me, but you are like the little brother I never had. One minute I want to smack you around for being so gullible and the next hug you for being who you are and so helpful to others. I never learned how to give freely of myself like you do. When I first met you, I genuinely didn’t think you could be as good as you are. And yet, you’ve never once disappointed me. You have also put up with me a lot longer than anyone else ever has even though you disagree with some of my actions."

Now, get the devil out of here and allow me to get some rest. And, no, I don’t desire one of your hugs.”

Jamie is even more boggled with her comments and wonders just what Emmaline put in those two potions. “Fate be still. Layla, I will never figure you out. But, thank you for telling me you won’t hurt them. They are good people.” He grabs her and hugs her anyway before rushing down to his room to pack.
    51109224598_dc52a7a95f_o.jpg

Jamie throws a few things into a bag and calls a cab. He takes Rebecca home in the cab not wanting her to ride home in the dark by herself. “I’m going to miss you Bekka. I will try to call you, and you can call me if you’d like.”
Bekka knows she is going to miss Jamie's company. She wishes he didn’t have to go, but he wouldn’t be Jamie if he wasn’t willing to rush off and help Layla. “I will miss you and worry about you as well. Please be careful as you are searching.”
    51109321531_7be741cd0d_o.jpg

She takes his hands as they talk. Squeezing them softly, Bekka tells him to be careful on his trip. She squeezes her eyes tightly together to hold back the tears trying to spill out. Why oh why does she have to cry so easily, she berates herself.
Jamie notices she is getting a little teary eyed. He doesn’t want her to be sad, but at the same time his heart leaps. He thinks it shows she is caring for him more than as a friend. He wants that so badly. He hopes this is true.
    51109321511_a6e7961cdc_o.jpg

He tries lightening the mood by teasing about placing her in the genie lamp and tossing it into his duffle, so she has to come with him. Instead of laughing, Bekka suddenly reaches out and grabs him, pulling him down to her. She kisses him hard and long, with a sweet passion that makes him wish he was not catching a plane shortly. His heart is soaring with the kiss and he knows leaving her now will be the hardest thing he’s done.
    51109224478_979724f017_o.jpg

    https://youtu.be/v_yTphvyiPU

She pulls back from him and ducks her head down afraid to see his face.
“Bekka, look at me.” he asks her gently. She raises her head, and he has that sweet smile on his face. The one that makes her feel protected and cherished. His eyes shine with desire. She smiles back feeling a little breathless and weak in the knees from the intensity of his gaze and the feelings evoked by the kiss.
    51108752662_df05062b23_o.jpg

Jamie is not ready to lose that closeness with her and he pulls her back into his arms. This time he leads the kiss and can feel her heart racing in response to his kiss. He pours all the love he has been feeling for her into that one kiss. He wants her to feel that kiss even after he is on his way to Shang Simla.
Bekka’s entire body tingles as he wraps his strong arms around her deepening the kiss. The intensity of his kiss melts her heart and fills her heart and soul with his. Their connection is powerful and time seems to stop. The only sounds in the room are soft moans of delight as they kiss.
    51110100225_2a8a1fbd0f_o.jpg
    51109224423_42f05fbd11_o.jpg

Jamie finally ends the kiss. He holds her face in his hands, so she can’t look away from him.
“My beautiful Rebecca, I’ve wanted your kisses for such a long time now. You are making it harder to leave kissing me like that.”
Bekka softly sighs watching Jamie’s eyes light up as he looks at her. “It is hard letting you go feeling like this. I couldn’t let you leave without kissing you, Jamie. In such a short time, you’ve come to mean so much to me.”
The cabbie toots his horn signalling his impatience to get going. “I will be back before you know it and we will continue this right where we left off," Jamie promises her.
Jamie takes one last kiss and holds her tightly before rushing out the door to catch his flight.
    51109070204_8c5d416c48_o.jpg
    51113887289_5cd10c1f2c_o.jpg

Bekka relaxes on her bed thinking about Jamie and his kisses. She misses him already. She laughs wondering if it is too soon to call. She picks up her phone and composes a message and as she hits send she receives a text. It is from Jamie. They were both thinking the same thing at the same time. I miss you. I'll see you in my dreams.

She smiles joyously and grabs her journal and looks at the words she wrote earlier today. Happy and excited. That pretty much sums up the entire day. She still feels happy and excited even with a tinge of sadness that Jamie will be gone for a few days. She loves knowing that Jamie has been wanting her kisses for awhile but never pressured her. He waited until she was ready. He sure made her toes curl when they did kiss and is looking forward to more. She falls asleep thinking of Jamie and his kisses with a smile on her face.

The main sim in my 1 sim - 3 games mini challenge asked his love interest, a Shang Simla townie, to go steady with him and to move in with him. So far, so ordinary. But while wooing Sun Young, I felt that the name sounded familiar. As did her brother's. And that house... I had been here before... in another life...

After saving, I checked my chronicles and, voila, turned out that in my only ever completed Legacy I had married Sun Young's nieces into my family. I found her picture at the very edge of the family tree, marked as "vanished, fate unknown". Well, now I will be able to explore what exactly happened to her, as I decided to declare the two saves to happen in the same timeline. Sun Young Kim didn't "vanish", she went with Dewey Jones to Appaloosa Plains!

This discovery made me happier than it should. But I absolutely loved my Forrester clan, and I didn't play Sims 3 often enough for its townies to become familar faces that one marries over and over, therefore the coincidence is special to me.

Here is that mess of a family tree, with Sun Young Kim circled in green:

If you could fix anything you wouldn't be able to see them either.

When they changed the forums a few years ago I had to fix a lot of my posts as the syntax had changed. And I use postorg and they changed the file path of my images a couple of times so I had to fix them all again, twice, then my big Showcase thread in the Build section of the forum got accidentally deleted by EA and they couldn't fix it. So I gave up on posting images of my builds in a single thread.

Gonna play ts3 again today. Maricela & Justin got married on the beach and then afterwards they adopted a little baby girl (I already forgot what I named her, oops)

Just so y'all know I posted a request for making a sim, if any of you can please check it out (he's gonna be hard to make I think, but one cute sim in the end. Not gonna say who it is here though. But I'll give one hint: Anyone watching American Idol this year will know who it is. And no it's not a judge- it's a contestant, top 12, really want him in top 3, or maybe win?)

Hello everyone, and sorry for being so quiet lately. It's one of those times again. I'm especially sorry for not having answered any of the comments lately. I'll get to that when I'm doing better.

My Mountain Lake game was going well, the kids became teenagers, got their driving lessons, and then I just had enough of keeping up with the love life of four teenagers for the moment. Oh, and the house was hit by a meteor, but it was time for a new kitchen, anyway. So here's a winter shot of Mountain Lake for you.
    V9qeLXy.jpg
I guess a night with snowfall should be dark, but it's much prettier this way  .
After that, it was time for a tropical island.

Hey friends. <3 You have no idea how many times I edited this part of the chapter to get all the wording right. :confounded: So much is revealed and I had to make sure it coincided with all that's happened and will happen (of course throwing in some SDV Lore as well. ;) ) It was a major brain workout! 😅 Then the staging took a couple of hours so.....I hope the pics look good and realistic with what I had at my disposal. ;) Enjoy! :kissing_heart:

    Pelican Town to Sims Town
    Continuation of Chapter 14

“So what were you doing out there at the graveyard?” Sebastian finally asked her, allowing her to sit up and take a breather, while he took his place back in the chair. “When I found you I saw you talking to yourself.”

    51115998601_32bd9f4678_c.jpg

Chuckling, she rubbed at her forehead again. “I was venting to the Wizard. Trying to get him to talk to me. Again.”
    “Again?”
    “Yeah...”

She explained to him all that had transpired since the Wizard first spoke telepathically to her in this world. Sebastian may have called him a “B**tard” for ghosting her, which she laughed at, but she went on to say, “As much as that was true...in his mind he had a good reason for not answering me.”
Sebastian folded his arms and arched an eyebrow at her. “How do you figure?”
“Because he spoke to me when I was in the coma and told me why.”
    His brows shot up. “Really?”
“Yeah. He told me that it was necessary for me to discover the solutions to all my magical struggles on my own because it would make me a better and stronger witch. He was confident that I would in time, but when I became a little more persistent about it then he thought I would be, and did something very rash that almost cost me my life - to which he had to step in and save it - he felt it best to communicate with me again and teach me a few things.” She smiled, grateful once again for his care and generosity. “And he may have expressed he could’ve handled the whole situation better himself too.” She smirked. Wish my dad would fess up like that, she couldn’t help thinking.

Sebastian nodded, taking back calling the Wizard a b**tard and thanking him tremendously. That’s when he realized, “Wait...that faint, green bubble I saw appear around you. That was from him?”
“Yep,” she nodded. “It was a protective shield. He cast it just in the nick of time...”
    “Thank God.”
“I know…It seemed he created the barrier to have a defense mechanism. Obviously keep us in, but also to keep others out; particularly other magic bearers.” She sighed, looking down at her hands. “I didn’t think about the dangerous repercussions of firing at it and let my anger and frustration get the better of me. Which is a huge no no because my magic is so deeply tied to my emotions, but at the time I didn’t care.” She sighed again as she raised her head. “He told me that just because we discover we’re a magic bearer, doesn’t automatically mean that we can cast any spell we come across with ease. It takes years, decades even, of careful study and practice to master certain spells. Even though he did say I possess more power than he did at my age...”
    “Right on!”

    51115750439_f9661ce5c2_c.jpg

“...and really I should’ve known that, but how was I supposed to?” she asked, spreading her hands apart. “I’ve never known much about my magic at all because no one was around to teach me about it. And of course for the first little while after I discovered I had it I was scared to death of it...because you know what we were always taught...”
He gloomily nodded. “When did you first discover your magic?”
    “When I was ten.”
“What!?” he grinned. “That long ago?”
“Yeah...My parents got into a nasty fight one night, I don’t even remember what it was about, and it scared me so I ran out to the graveyard to be near my grandma who died a couple of months earlier. She was always so sweet and knew how to cheer me up when I was sad. I began to mourn greatly for her and that emotion, on top of all the others, made me scream in anguish and somehow this fireball shot out of my hand at the same time and broke off a piece of one of the other headstones. Needless to say, I was shocked!”
Sebastian gasped, while keeping his grin. “I remember my folks talking about that broken headstone! Saying, ‘kids these days have no respect, even for the dead!’”
    Abigail laughed. “That’s hilarious!”

    51115998651_835de7c8d9_c.jpg

Sebastian took her hands in his and rubbed them again as they sat in silence for a moment.

“I’m really sorry you had to go through all that Abby. Keeping such a secret for so many years. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard that was.”
    “Thanks,” she smiled.
    “And your parents don’t know?”
“No. No one does. Except you. And I’m so relieved!”
He kissed her hand, glad to hear it. “I really wish you would’ve told me sooner...so you wouldn’t have had to carry all that alone.”

    51115431607_156ae22f25_c.jpg

    “I know...me too.”
    They kissed again.

“So...the whole gemstone eating thing?” he asked with a smirk.
“Oh my GOSH!” she laughed, hiding her face in the palm of her hand.
“Seriously, what is that rumor all about?” he chortled. “I always found it difficult to ask you about it because I didn’t want to offend you, but...since I know you’re a magic bearer now I figure it had something to do with that.”
“Well,” she started, giving him an impressed smile. “You would be correct.”
“Yes!” he cheered, raising his fists.
She giggled at the gesture. “I was in a bad mood one night; felt like flying away, getting the h*** out of Pelican Town, and leaving all my problems behind, you know?”
“Oh yes. We’ve ALL been there!”
“Well, my favorite mythical creature is a dragon, as you know. So when I found a spell that might turn me into one temporarily...I had to try it out.”
    “Get out! You didn’t?”

    51115909828_0b284588bb_c.jpg

“I totally did. So one of the things I had to do was eat some gemstone dust before reciting the incantation, which had words that were quite difficult to pronounce and it was very frustrating!”
He chuckled at how cute her brow and nose scrunched up while saying that.
“Needless to say, after numerous attempts and an upset stomach, I didn’t turn into one,” she ended with a twisted mouth. “That was some pretty advanced magic, that I obviously didn’t know at the time, and I’m still not at the point where I could make it happen.” She paused. “Although maybe a little more though, since the Wizard taught me a few tricks while I was in the coma as well.” She grinned. “Even the remedy for my headaches after spellcasting.”
“Awesome!” he expressed with a thumbs up. “What is it?”
“Just four simple words that I have to recite in my mind right before casting any spell. Then I inhale deeply, and say the spell as I’m exhaling. Voila! No impending headache.” She threw her hands wide apart as she asked, “it had to be something as simple as that didn’t it!? Gah!”
He patted her arm in sympathy. “I’m especially glad he taught you that one. Headaches su*ck!”
Yeah they do! Especially the spellcasting ones. It’s like,” she snapped her finger, “instant migraine afterward!”
    “Ugh!”
“So who the h*** started that rumor anyway?” she greatly wondered. “Because, as you now know, it was never a rumor, but a fact. So who saw me doing that?”
He shrugged. “No clue. But I wouldn't worry about it because they obviously didn’t see you do any magic or the rumor would’ve been about you being a witch rather than you simply eating gemstones…”
“True,” she bobbed her head, but she still couldn’t help wondering. It kind of frightened her that someone might have possibly seen her practicing magic in - what she thought was - the privacy of the graveyard. However, he was right; she just couldn’t worry about it.

    51115431632_921b496d3b_c.jpg

“So your sword fighting,” he went on. “What made you get into that? Did you ever turn your swords into elemental ones?” he winked.
“No,” she chuckled, “but I sure tried! Mostly I got into it because it always appealed to me, and it was a way to make me look more like a normal girl...same with learning to play the flute.”
“I see. You really do have some epic sword fighting skills!”
“Oh really?” she threw out a smirk. “Cause you didn’t seem to think so when I kicked your butt during that duel we had near the entrance to the cave.”
“Hey! My pride was hurt. Especially right there in front of Sam. It wasn’t the time to admit how righteously better you were at it than me.”
    She playfully rolled her eyes.

“You should really get a load of your hair right now,” he grinned. “It changed right after you got struck.”
“What?” she asked, pulling a clump of it over her shoulder to study. She gasped, then studied the other side. “Oh my gosh it looks like it’s greying!” For a moment she feared this is how her new “magical hair color” would be for a while.
“Guess you’re graduating into that old, scraggly witch look; with moles on the nose and everything,” he joked.
“Shut up you!” she swatted at his arm, looking at her hair again. “Ugh, this is awful. I look like I have a skunk on my head!”
    He laughed. “Skunks aren’t purple…”
“True, but,” she purposely paused. “I’m kinda tired of my hair even being purple to be honest. It’s time for a change...”
Sebastian studied her questionably, especially due to the mysterious smirk that appeared on her face.

She kept the smirk before closing her eyes, breathing in deeply, and then whispering a spell as she twirled her fingers above her head. Sebastian’s eyes widened at the sparkles that came out of them and showered over her, turning every strand of hair into a rich blue on their way down. It was mesmerizing!

She lowered her arm and opened her eyes, giving him a beaming smile.

    51115431652_96a2d80b9b_c.jpg

“WOW!” he gasped. “You’re a bada$$ witch Abby!”
“Thank you,” she blushed. “The Wizard taught me a universal spell that does what my mind wishes for it to do, but only with very simple things. I wasn’t completely sure if it would change my hair color, but I’m so excited it did! It’s pretty rad!” she squeaked.
“I’ll say!” he grinned. “It’s a great color on you. You look gorgeous!”

He couldn’t help leaning in while giving her those same, dreamy eyes he had before and pressing his lips upon hers. She expressed a tiny, “Mmm,” as she kissed him back. He was too sweet.

“Now I wanna see what your hair looks like in pink!” he smirked, knowing she very much disliked the color.
“No freaking way!” she responded as they both laughed.

Then came a light knock on the door.

    “Come in,” Abigail called.

Harvey entered the room wearing a little grin. “Sorry to interrupt you two. Sebastian,” he addressed, “I’d like a few minutes alone with Abby now if that’s alright?”

    51115431662_750725a674_c.jpg

Sebastian shot a quick glance at Abigail as if to ask her if she was okay with him leaving because no doubt the Doctor was going to have questions and he wasn’t sure if she needed his support.
Abigail’s eyes expressed her appreciation, but she gave him a dismissing nod, letting him know she could handle it on her own.
He acknowledged, then turned and nodded at Harvey, before getting up from the chair and leaving the room. When he closed the door behind him, he stayed near it to listen just in case. He was her protector now, and ever would be.

Abigail could feel her brow start to perspire as Harvey approached her. She glanced down at her hands in nervousness, knowing he was going to want some details on what happened and she wasn’t sure exactly how she was going to respond to it.

Then she realized that her hair color looked completely different then when he was last in. Cr*ap…

    51115998756_6850d10c28_c.jpg

Harvey didn’t seem to notice because he was too busy going over her blood test results again on a piece of paper before stopping before her.

“I take it you’re gonna give me the once over before allowing me to go?” she asked. It was to be expected; and maybe she was hoping that voicing it would encourage him to do just that and forget about asking any questions.
“No I don’t think that’s necessary,” he replied, tucking the paper into his sweater pocket. “Your vital signs have been good this entire time. You look good,” he lowered his head to study her. “I can see a little more color in your cheeks.” He smiled.
She cracked a smile in return.

Wasn’t her hair lighter earlier? he thought, then quickly shook his head, not even wanting to think about possibly losing his mind at his young age. Perhaps I need some new glasses when we get back home. Anyway...

“Also the blood sample we took didn’t reveal anything abnormal,” he informed.

    51116793640_4305449798_c.jpg

    “Well that’s good, right?”
“It is...,” he replied in a restrained manner, sitting himself down in the chair before continuing, “but it has me a little puzzled because you were in a coma and after examining you I found no signs of trauma, which meant it had to be the result of something internal so that’s why I took a blood sample to dig deeper. Now that that’s come back normal,” he paused, “I’m not sure what to make of all this.”
“Maybe it’s a miracle,” she simply said with a shrug, still not fully meeting his gaze.
“Maybe…” He chewed at his bottom lip while scrutinizing her, knowing there was something she was not telling him. He sensed that from Sebastian earlier too.

“Let’s talk about what happened,” he started, positioning himself more comfortably in the chair. “Or rather what is the last thing you remember happening before you passed out?”

    51115750629_ca3aa58c98_c.jpg

Abigail could feel her pulse racing, no doubt Harvey could see it pumping at the base of her neck. The man was no dummy; she knew he could sense that she wasn’t being very forthcoming. She debated within herself, trying desperately to not look nervous and keep herself composed. However Harvey could see the internal conflict written all over her face. It’s not like he hadn’t seen it in other patients before.
“I just want to make sure you’re alright Abby,” he said, placing a caring hand on her arm. “This has been a trying time for all of us lately, having not returned home yet, and wrestling with the unknown about this quest. We all cope in different ways and I want you to know that...there’s no judgement here. That ‘doctor-patient confidentiality’ still applies in this world as much as it does back home,” he winked.
That got her to crack a smile. “I haven't been dabbing in foreign 'substances' if that's what you’re getting at,” she said.
He shrugged. “I’m not sure what I’m getting at. I just know that something happened to you that put you in a coma and I have no physical explanation for it when there should be.”

    51115431737_d1e6227824_c.jpg

His eyes implored her to reveal what happened.

Abigail found herself batting her eyelids to hold back the tears. She wasn’t sure if she was ready for this; to tell another. Harvey always seemed to be a very kind and compassionate person, not one that angers easily or takes sides. The well being of every person in town back home was always his top priority, even over his own well being. Everyone could see that; most everyone praised him for it. Perhaps that’s why he was so quickly accepted when Doctor Harris retired. So knowing that, and learning even more about him as a person since landing in this world, she had no reason to believe she couldn’t trust him with her secret. Why then, was it still so hard to reveal?

Sebastian handled it well, surely he will too, she tried to convince herself, not realizing her breath was developing into rapid gasps.
“It’s okay,” Harvey soothed. “You can tell me.”
She shook her head. “You wouldn’t believe it,” she said to test him.
He gave her a firm look. “Try me.”

Closing her eyes now, she valiantly took that leap of faith. “Something from the magical barrier came down and struck me, like a bolt of lightning.”
His brow furrowed. “How did that happen?”
    “Because...I fired at it.”
    “Fired at it with what?”
She swallowed as her eyes met his. “...with magic. I possess magic.”

Harvey’s eyes widened, pushing his eyebrows above his glasses, as his mind worked to process that revelation.

    51115750659_c5bff402c3_c.jpg

“I can show you if you want me to,” she asked, not knowing what else to say.

His eyes finally blinked. “Uh...sure.” He was genuinely curious.

Abigail conjured up a ball of light in her hand, causing Harvey to gape in awe. With just a flick of her wrist it turned into a ball of fire, then a ball of ice, then she clasped her fingers over it, making it disappear.

Instinctively, the Doctor grabbed her hand to examine it, which made her chuckle.
“It’s okay Harvey,” she assured. “It doesn’t hurt or leave a mark on me.”
“That’s incredible!” he gasped, at a loss for words for a second. “That would certainly explain why there wasn’t a mark on you after you got struck.”
“Wellll...sort of. It’s kinda hard to explain all the Wizard told me about it, but apparently I possess some internal healing properties from being a witch.”

    51116793725_9bb5f477a3_c.jpg

Harvey wasn’t sure if he exactly liked that term to describe her, but what she said fascinated him nonetheless. “Might this explain why you never seemed to get sick?”
She bobbed her head. “I guess it would.”
“Wow.” He’d forgotten how curious he’d once become - when he first heard about the Wizard - as to how magic and the human body were able to coincide together. So much so, the inner scientist in him exploded with excitement; craving to learn everything about it. However, the last thing he ever wanted was for Abigail to feel like a test subject while in his care. It's possible she held fears of becoming one by revealing herself and never would he allow that to happen.

“How long have you been keeping this to yourself?” he asked her.
    “Eleven years.”
His eyebrows bounced. “Well you did a pretty da*mn good job at it!” he chortled. “Never would I have pegged you as someone who is a magic bearer. Sorry, I don’t mean that the way it sounds…”
    “I know.”
“Well tell me all about it,” he happily asked, “so I can better understand my patient.” He winked.
Abigail smiled and was more than happy to do so.

Sebastian let out a breath of relief on the other side of the door and smiled.

    51116793395_036f04408d_c.jpg

Just as Abigail figured, Harvey was just as receptive and accepting of her magical abilities as Sebastian was and she began to regret being so worried about revealing herself all this time. True it was natural for her to be, due to the culture back home, but maybe...this new generation was beginning to feel differently about magic. I mean we did ALL heed the Wizard’s call to come to his tower and go on a quest, she thought. If the others really abhorred magic - and the Wizard - why then did they choose to answer the call? It really made her wonder, and gave her hope that the others wouldn’t shun her either because of her gift.

“Does casting magic strain you in any way?” Harvey asked. “Or do you experience any side effects from it?”
“Not usually,” she replied. “I would always get these nasty headaches after casting a spell, but the Wizard finally taught me a trick on how to prevent those from happening, so I’m good now.”
He nodded. “I’m glad. Wish you would’ve told me about the headaches, but I understand.”
“Yeah, Seb suggested I should, but at the time he didn’t know I possess magic and why I felt like I couldn’t see you about them.” She lowered her eyes for a second. “I was afraid you might throw out a bunch of tests at me because they were so frequent and find out the truth. I’m really surprised my blood didn’t reveal anything.”
    “You and me both!”

    51115750354_a4a2454862_c.jpg

Then she gave him a heartfelt smile. “I really appreciate you and Seb being so accepting and kind about this. You have NO idea what a relief it is! I guess I was worrying a whole lot about nothing…”
“No, you had every reason to worry. I’m just sorry you had to endure it all alone. And that I couldn’t help you in times when you needed my help.”
“Thanks.” She smiled even brighter. “Now I don’t have to endure it alone.”

The two stood up and hugged.

    51115909673_24b0803cee_c.jpg

“Thank you,” Abigail expressed again, giving him a squeeze.
He patted her back. “If you feel any headaches, nausea, or anything else out of the ordinary this evening please let me know,” he said as they broke their embrace. “But for now I’m giving you the okay to be discharged.”
    She nodded with a chuckle.
“That being said, I do want you to take it easy this evening. No going anywhere or casting any magic alright?”
    “Yes doctor…,” she playfully groaned.

    51115431422_3410c2f573_c.jpg

The two headed for the door and just as Harvey was about to open it for her she stopped him. “Harvey?”
    “Yeah?”
There was a pause. “Do you think it’d be alright if I told the others the truth about me?” She wasn’t really sure why she asked, mostly knowing the answer, but maybe it was because her soul longed for a little advice from a fatherly figure; someone she looked up to and who’s opinion she valued.

    51115998496_7f5ceaf2af_c.jpg

Harvey pondered on that for a moment. “I think only you can answer that question Abby. Ultimately it’s up to whether you feel like that person is ready to know that about you. Confident that they will be accepting of it, however also being prepared for the fact that they might not be.”
She nodded. That’s pretty much what she’d been thinking, but it felt nice to get some validation on it.
“We can’t control how others are going to feel and react to something that is unique about us,” he continued, “but we can control how we respond to it, and not allow it to negatively affect our personal growth.”
She nodded again. “Thank you Harvey.”
“You’re welcome.” He smiled. “You’re an amazing person Abigail; a born leader. Don’t ever forget that. Never change who you are simply because others choose not to accept you for who you are.”

    51115909613_545c2a6142_c.jpg

With a touched heart, she assured him, “Don’t worry...I won’t.”

An ending song here that I didn't plan on sharing, but for some reason felt like I should. It kind of applies and carries a good message. <3 Enjoy.

    @HillyBeth Happy Birthday, Madison!

@GraceyManor Linda doesn't seem to like the place much.
And Daniel doesn't seem to like them.
Lol, I'd like to see Daniel performing a wedding on his ship.
Yeah, don't think the bank is equipped for dubloons.
I remember that Daniel was the Flying Dutchman.
I'd contact someone and ask them why they moved your story.
    I'll haven't got that message.

    @texxx78 Not a bad werewolf.
    Nice picture with the bird.

@polrbear Lol, I guess the husband isn't important.
It's nice that they are going to get a boy.

@ZhakiraP Well, 5 or 6 generations isn't too bad really. That's about as far as I've ever got a family too.
Wow, you got Emit in the family tree? How'd that happen?
Lol, guess the aliens like him.
Yes, Emma looks much better now.

@SimsAddict_244 Sounds like a nice update. For some reason (probably my crappy internet) the photos didn't load.

@Tamijo Sounds like the village is growing.

@bekkasan I'll have to read and comment on your update later, my internet is being stupid and some peoples pictures won't load.

    @EnkiSchmidt Awesome family tree!

@Turjan Well, I guess they get something nice out of the meteor incident.

@emorrill I'll have to do the same for your post as I told Bekkasan up above. My internet wouldn't load either one of your pictures.

***I was planning on playing the Sims last night but my Titanic: Honor and Glory demo took too long to download and by the time it did, I then spent a few hours exploring the ship again. I had it once and shared some pictures here but I ended up getting rid of it. However, I wanted to get it back again since today and tomorrow are the 109th anniversary of Titanic striking the iceberg and sinking. The demo isn't the Alpha I mentioned in an earlier post but it will have to do for me right now until the team lets us download it. Anyway, probably playing a throwaway save in Sims tonight as I can't stay up too late as I work tomorrow through Sunday now. My internet is being crappy again tonight, I think I ran of data. I'm trying to get Comcast back but they are being a pain in the backside right now.

@Sprottenham I agree about the babies and kids. I usually have the baby in a bassinet with the parents and the toddlers in a room off the parents room that is connected.
Congrats to both on their birthdays!
It looked like a big party, lots of guests and no one died!

@Sleepstar Glad you got some time to play. Hope the install works.
Sorry you had to reinstall things.

@Tamijo Thanks for commenting on the camping area. I'm having fun building it.

@GraceyManor I see Carolyn finally meets Daniel.
Their conversation was cute. I loved it when she drove him bonkers before. BLAST just tickles my funny bone.
The house is beautiful. That was awesome sunset pictures.
Linda looks a bit like a few of the zombies in my game.
Lovely wedding the Captain arranged just to get them gone. lol
I hope she gets a great story out of his tale.
Where did you have your story thread before they moved it to gifting?
I have the welcome one but not the pink one about posting in proper places.

@Karritz Thanks for commenting on the campground and gyp..sy tents. Excuse the way I wrote it apparently the word is censored. DUH
Yes, I think someone made the rookery over and I put it on a larger lot and added the basement in case more than one person moves in.

@texxx78 Welcome back to sims 3 and the thread too.
Looks like your sim is having a great time vacationing.
    Cute new pet!

@ZhakiraP Thanks for the comments. The inside is really nice on that houseboat. I always ended up with little boxy rooms and tight quarters so gave up trying to make them. I downloaded a few I saw over the years and now is my chance to try them out.
Wow...what a handsome family and so much going on. I don't know how you guys play sims so fast!
Ephraim looks like he will be a handsome heir.
    Elijah is handsome!

@Logicallyironic Welcome! Looks like lots of fun drama in your story.

@Brandontaylor Great start to the new story.
It looks like they are on the way to meeting some of the characters in SV and beginning their life together.
No worries, read when you have a chance. I get times when the pages load slow if a lot of pictures are on the page.

    @polrbear Cute pics.

@SimsAddict_244 Glad you are enjoying playing the sims 3 again! Great pics!

@EnkiSchmidt Wonderful how that worked out rediscovering what happened to her.

@Turjan I'm sorry you are feeling off right now. Hope things are better for you soon. That is a beautiful shot of the town. Bummer about the meteor but yeah for a new kitchen!
