Your WIP is looking great! @Taoron Very nice exterior design of the home and the terrain work, stone fencing and plants are looking great! The carport is nice, and great shape/design of the back patio pool. Happy simming as you continue to enjoy working on the build
I have been doing a Makeover of Britechester's Student house called 'Darkwing House' this is how its coming along after a day. I did move the house a bit and I added a small basement for Parties in cold weather and a little workout room.

Your WIP makeover of Darkwing House is looking great! @luckyheather Very pretty flowerbox windows and flowers on the edges! The back area of the build is very nice! It is great there is an upper balcony, and the pool and outdoors dining patio is very nice! Sims will enjoy playing ping pong there and having drinks from the keg. The interior furnishing is looking great. It is nice that you have added a basement.
Wonderful makeover @luckyheather The new colors really give it some nicer depth and adding that balcony where the roof was gives so much more living space. Great job!
Thanks @rosemow for those great comment about my makeover as I dont do that very often, but I saw potential in this building. I tried to give it a cosy slight country feel on the inside by using some of the Cats and Dogs furniture. Thanks for saying the back and outdoors is very nice, I am pleased with it so far. I am going to carry on with it this morning as I am enjoying myself with it.
Hi there @Taoron and thank you for saying that the balcony replacing roof is giving the home more living space. I do love a balcony I must admit most of my houses have at least one, maybe its because I dont have one! I am glad you like the colours as I love that colour window and I used indoor wall covering on the outside like I often do with my steampunk builds or a Victorian painted lady style. I actually thought the build reminded me of the French houses from Sims 3 and I was tempted but thought it would look out of place at Uni.
Btw I am thinking of building those cute builds that are along the Canal that you can see at the back of this house. There is also a little single one to the left I might do as well, so pretty! Dear @rosemow that is why I have requested some Canal Boat art from you for them, I hope thats ok
This is the Student off Campus Housing I started today, this is it so far and a Screenshot of what inspired me, its the University Canal at Britechester.
The student off campus housing is looking great! @luckyheather It is reflecting well the inspiration canal area in Britechester and will complement with it very well. Very nice exterior design! The canal boat is great! Very nice outside areas with many activities for Uni students to enjoy doing. The furnishing and layout of the interior looks great! Very nice red and green colour scheme of the bedrooms.
It is looking very nice
Thanks very much @rosemow for your views on the student housing and thanks again for the Canal Art that is inside the rooms I just hope the students from 2 different University's can get along, thats why the 2 kitchens and their own bedrooms and bathrooms. They can mingle in the livingroom and garden
@luckyheather That is a lovely looking campus housing. I'm liking of simple yet cozy feel I am getting from it. Would like to see what the final product will look like.
Thanks very much @Heaveness and @Taoron I just loved those buildings along the Canal and just had to try and create them, I am pleased you like it so far, I am off to finish it soon
I was never happy with that off the grid lot "Admiral's Wreckage" on that Sulani volcanic Island Mua Pel'Am. I liked the idea that sims might be able to live in a shipwreck, but I didn't like the premade basement. But I had never a good idea how to rework it. Once again I started with no real plan of what to build and I ended up with this one: the Mua Pel'Am Lighthouse.
And it works also at night with the lighthouse lamp from the Brindleton Bay museum island:
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
The lighthouse is lovely! @Bonxie Very creative design and layout! It looks great at night time with the lighthouse lamp! Very nice tropical trees and flowers around the base of it.
Where do some of y'all get actual bight lights like that?
Thanks!
Uhm - the bright lights?
It's in game, no photoshop or reshade. Only thing I usually do is to increase the contrast and brightness of the pictures by 10% before uploading. In that way the blur from the postprocessing is not that distinct. But I also think that there might have been a change in the game's lighting presets with the recent patch.
Just as an info: I use a AMD Radeon RX 580 with the latest drivers. So nothing special, but I'm happy with the graphics quality.
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
@Bonxie Neat. I just haven't seen any lights like your search light like that that throws that far. Do you kow which one you used? The one on the actual lighthouse top, I mean.

Ah - sorry. I misunderstood your question. We had a discussion about Reshade recently, so I guessed you're talking about the lighting presets in the game.
The lighthouse light is really that one from the in game lighthouse, it's also rotating just like the original. It's no "standard" light you find in BB mode, it's an EA effect which can be combined as a mod with any random BB item. You can find it here: http://modthesims.info/d/627021/animated-plumbob-lighthouse-light.html

I'm also not very happy with that Caldera Camp on Sulani, but I really don't know what to build instead of the premade. I just added some basement levels and build a geothermal waterworks, which might be not a bad idea near the volcano. It has zero relevance for the game play, but it was for sure fun to build
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
Your geothermal waterworks build is so very creatively great! @Bonxie The water fountains, science items, tanks and piping looks so very effective! It is a very creative build!
@luckyheather, That is gorgeous! I love that they put the Baby Yoda in the game and your build is the perfect showcase for the cutie! I hope to see the new Star Wars movie soon! This build is getting me more excited for it!
Your Yoda Hut WIP is looking great! @luckyheather The lake is lovely! The hut is great! The spaceship for kids to play on suits the theme well. The baby Yoda statue looks cute there
