I've got Cyndi Lauper back on the stereo, the True Colors album. I like She's So Unusual much better, but this album is also great.
When I was in primary school, I pretty much worshipped Cyndi. She was one of my idols circa 1984 (the other idol was Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, whom I was head over heels in love with when I was 9 years old. Bloody weird kid, I was! ). Still a big fan of both of them.
I don't really remember this, but my mum sometimes tells the story of how the school would ring her up because I kept putting my name down as "Cyndi" on all of my work. The stupid things I got in trouble for.
@PriestessBizarre Thanx for sharing about your love of music! Your story started my day with a smile and got a good chuckle out of me. I grew up in the 60's and 70's, and I'm a huge classic rock fan. Cyndi Lauper rocks as well.
@luvdasims55 That sounds like our household in a nutshell. My other half is a bit older than me (he was born late 60s) and he's a rabid music fan, so there is plenty of music going on in this house!
I'm listening to Fishbone - Bonin' in the Bone Yard (Truth and Soul album), which is the first thing that came on when I turned on my mp3 player just now. I obviously didn't finish playing the album last time I used the player.
Immigrant Song, Led Zeppelin. It's been stuck in my head since I watched Thor Ragnarok the other day.
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass,
of glory in the flower,
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind
~William Wordsworth
Yeah I love black metal but **NOT** NSBM, just to be clear, never consider them to be one and the same. There is no room for racist nincompoops in my life.
