If they get enough people to buy their first Game pack, then be assured we'll be getting new game packs really often...and they might get more expensive. The Sims is still EA's cash cow after all...

I think that this is going to be an interesting DLC since this is new and never been in any other sims games, the ability to go camping and be outdoors. I am pleased with The Sims 4 because they gave us 3 months worth of updates October - December without charging or including it in a stuff pack/EP/Game pack. They included ghosts, pools, basic careers, PTO, family leave, etc including game play/bugs fixes. With the sims 3, we only got updates with eps.

All the features that were added with the updates had already been in the Sims 3 base game. So they weren't really gifts because they are so generous... we already payed for these features in advance.

And for the premium service. I hope the prices won't explode with these DLCs... I think 20$ are already too much.
I'm playing the Sims since day 1.

Nope not a fan of of this service. I would prefer to individually purchase instead. This premium service will force me to accept whatever EA puts out and I would be stuck having already paid the fee. No thanks.

You can do that in Sims 1, Sims 2 with Bon Voyage, Sims 3 with World Adventures. Nothing new.

If it improves the game not just eye candy then bring it on.

Actually not new, not new at all. You could go camping in Sims 2 Bon Voyage. Campground, cabins, and lodges. The only difference is in Sims 2 we had Big Foot....In 4 you have a bear that looks like he escaped from a childrens show on PBS.

In Sims 4 about this "new game pack", it's almost a copy/paste from Sims 1, but with all these "a game for baby" features.

Also, in Sims 3 you can camp ANYWHERE in ANY world. No restrictions.

Yet the gameplay blows 4 completely out of the water. I will take good gameplay over graphics anyday!

Who remembers The Sims 1 Vacation NPCs?

Sims 1 (and 2) have the better NPCs.

Tragic Clown, thief, monster, yéti, crumplebottom, NPCs who clean the floor, which deal with certain lands, Santa Claus, Entertainer (Chip and Bunny), The Mime, crazy fans, Social bunny, The Charlatan, Ninjas, etc etc etc

How many NPCs in Sims 4 ? We don't even have thief or firefighters...

In TS1 there was Betti Yeti, Markey Sharkey and Archie Archer and they would follow your kids everywhere doing a dance and one of my kids was once in the bath and one of the mascots followed them and just stood there watching the kid...

I complain about it but well, I don't really know if I'll buy it or not. Depend of what is officially announced.

I want hope for an improvement but it's really difficult to have it.

But EA is not the one who makes the games, Maxis does.

People like Maxis more than EA. ;)
