I was disappointed to find there was no vegetarian trait in the game so I hoped that if I kept on feeding my sims Garden Salad, they would adapt to the vegetarian lifestyle but when I'm away, I see her eating meat.
Although, I remember whenever one of my Sims had that trait in TS3 I'd forget and feed them meat... *guilty* They'd be throwing up and I couldn't think why
We had vegetarian trait in base game in Sims 3, but the menu was pretty limited till Showtime when they added tofu as an option so we could do Tofurkey and other vegetarian dishes.

I would rather they not add it as a trait, but instead maybe a thing to check or uncheck. They could add "diet" as a thing like the voice section, and you could choose favorite food and if they are a vegetarian (or even a vegan? ).
Unless they allow us to choose more traits than we currently have the ability to, I would not want vegetarian to clog up space where an actual aspect of their personality could be. I just don't think that vegetarian is really a personality trait (I say this as a vegan fyi), or at least not in the way that things like loner, neat, or geek are. I already have my sims eat mostly vegetarian anyway, lol.

That's an amazing idea! I'd love that. Lol, a "carnivore" option would've been perfect for the weresim I remade in TS4.
I'm also very much guilty of forgetting vegetarian sims...I've only ever had a few because I generally have various sims to look after, and so I forget to think about whether what mom/dad makes for dinner should be vegetarian or not. Really, I'd just like some unique vegetarian meals. Not one salad and various copies of things with "tofu" smushed into the name somewhere.

Yeah, to add the trait now they would have to add more different dishes.
I hope they do that eventually, though.

Ain't nobody got time for bacon.
Why not both?
EDIT: You get half of the trait for free, the other half for a price.

My Wishlist
I need it so my female sims can stop getting fat. They're just as bad as exercising as me someone I know.
